oh ladies i found out between xmas and new year i was pregnant, i was over joyed and OH was beyond words... 20mins after finding out he'd the nursery decorated in his head....


any war 5th jan came and i MC'd


past few days i've had that feeling, we all know it....

tested this morning with a cheapy strip test, and got a BFP told myself it was an evap, so another test strip was dunked, BFP, told myself don't get excited off to shop to get superdrug test and FRER

and i got an urber faint line on the frer, barely visable but it was there

i'm just so worried, AF not due till sat, i thought it was yesterday as messed up my dates, so tested thinking i was late..... (also going out tonight and wanted to dye my hair but now that won't be happenin)

i'm just worried and would like some support

Firstly I am so sorry to hear about your mc, as I full well understand that aching disappointment after all the excitiment.

Can I just ask if you got a negative test after your mc? Sometimes HCG can stay in the system for up to 7 weeks after a mc, so I just wanted to make sure this is a new pregnancy, as you don't appear to have had a AF between mc and now. Best to get to your GP and get your blood checked so you can be sure of an HCG rise and confirm this is a new pregnancy and not HCG remaining from your previous one.

Sorry if that sounds a bit negative, but I just didn't want you to feel bad if AF showed up. I really hope it is good news!

i had 3 negative tests...... one super drug, one FRER and one cheapy strip......

Hey Hun, in that case a big congratulations are in order!!

It doesn't matter that you tested before AF is due, as the tests you get nowadays are pretty sensitive. A happy and healthy 9 months to you.

Worrying is pretty normal after a loss, and you will find some days better than others, but try and stay focused on the positive. I had a mc when I first conceived and then went on to have my son with no problems.

Tell him today before you go out, so you are both beaming at the engagement party! I am sure he was equally devastated when you lost your baby, so he will be over the moon that you are expecting again. You couldn't have given him a more precious gift as an engagement party present.

Congratulations on your engagement too - wow, such a pity the champagne is out!

af was due today............

i think he twigged last night as his bro asked me to throw him his phone i have great aim usually, i fired his 4 week old phone into a brick wall missing his head by an inch, then nearly killed the hamster.... ooooops

Ah that's ok, my aim is usually that bad! (poor hamster)

I thought my DH had twigged with all the hints I was dropping...'taking pregnancy leave'...'this symptom of gas drives me nuts'...'I wish I could take tablets for thrush but in my present condition I can't' etc.

Did he twig? Nah! And he is a Dr!...Ok a PhD rather than medical, but you wonder which one of us has Baby Brain.

Our dates are one day apart!

i will test again at the weekend and if the test is a lot darker i will tell him, line on the FRER was so faint it was almost invisable

well OH twigged almost instantly, he came home stinking of fuel, and i ran off and threw up, that was the biggest give away..

however i have started light spotting, hoping it is implantaion bleeding and am trying not too worry to much.


i don't want to get my hopes up again only to have them dashed

Well your OH is certainly more clued up on 'signs' than mine is. I actually think I should have worn a big neon one saying 'Baby on Board'!

I had light spotting when I was pregnant last time, and apparently often happens around the time your period would have been due. Its yet another hormonal thing that we have to deal with/worry about.

Hope you had fun at your party, although there is no need to ask if you are hungover. Xxx

hummmm was fun, SIL to be fucked me off as usual

3yr old son who i adore, weighs 2 stone, on a booster seat, i had a go at her last time for this..... i have a seat for him in my car, as his safety means so much to me, i could never harm him on purpose but his mother..... well now

she has a baby seat as well, the polysterne insert was broke when she got it 2nd hand for her daughter 6yrs ago......


brough other SIL to be back to the house, and she spotted the pre-natals,,, wooooops but was great about it,

Ah family...don't you just love them?

I bet this same SIL is the first to give you unwanted advice when your baby is born. I always find the worst examples of good parenting are the best for dishing it out. Mind you, good parents know to give advice only when it is asked for.

just to update you ladies, spotting turned to bleeding on friday, heavy bleeding all weekend looks like another miscarriage
