Hi Girls :flower:

I had my last Son 7 years+ ago & so would really like an up to date opinion on the best sanitary pads for after birth?

(Im having a c.section, but know that wont make much difference, just dont want really long pads that may touch wound:wacko:)

To be honest I found the maternity pads most comfortable for me but that's because I had stitches. :) They were a lot more cushioned for when I sat down lol!

But as you're having a C section im not too sure. I have heard Kotex night time towels are meant to be good though :) xx

boots maternity pads are really good. 99p for 12 and they are really thick and comfy :)

I had a CS. I only used maternity pads for the 1st 3 days at the hospital. When I went back home I was using Always ultra normal flow for day use & ultra night for bedtime.

I used the boots maternity pads, nice and mattressy!

I have to agree that the Boots maternity pads are the best. They are wide, comfy and cushioned.

I had some sainsburys ones, but found the hospital ones were best! I dont know if they give them out in every hospital but I just asked for some every now & then, they were lovely & soft & nice & wide too :) xx

only used boots maternity pads for a couple of days, prefered bodyform secure fit though. they are wafer thin but v absorbant and really long so no misses! i love em :)

I used boots and tesco maternity ones and found them both very comfy (I got stitches as well) and absorbant :) no leaks from either type

I must be honest, I fancy the idea of 'wafer thin'.....hate the bulkyness of regular maternity pads....Although I can appreciate those that have vaginal births, may find them a comfort :winkwink:

I had a c-section and found maternity pads waay to bulky!

I used always ultra nighttime pads never leaked once and fit really well

Whatever you use needs to be extra long, when you're bleeding heavily at the start it will go everywhere else! When you're in hospital their pads are great, and with the heavy flow I felt a lot more secure with proper maternity pads - I had sainsburys and boots ones and both were fine. When things slowed down a bit I used always ultra night, which were long enough but super slim.

I used the Tesco pads and hated them, they irritated my stitches!
Then I used tena lady, they we're bulky but I could leave them on all night even after 2/3 days and the didnt leak

I used Boots own ones. I had a c-section and really didn't bleed as much as I was expecting. It was heavy for the first couple of days but then tailed off to pretty much nothing after another couple of days. The Boots ones were really comfy though and were fine when I was bleeding heavily at the start. I used the hospital ones the first day and they were great!

I used mothercare maternity pads. They are very cushioned and quite slimline so don't feel really bulky.

I was in the hospital for three days and used their pads for the first day and a half, maybe 2 days. By than the bleeding had gone down and I switched to Always (the thin ones, night time) and they worked fine

Same here, then I used bodyform nightime pads, they were fab!

I found the Boots maternity pads the best, they're really comfy and only 99p a pack.
