Hi ladies
Thought i would start a thread for those of us that are not too sure of when our cycles of IVF/ICSI will start maybe some of us are being referred for IVF or waiting on funding or a start date etc and it does sometimes feel like we are a bit in limbo compared to the more "established" ladies going through treatment right?

we have our 1st appt on the 19th april at LWH as regards having IVF.
I have lost both tubes and DH has no known probs.
Been a long road just getting to this stage! roll on injecting and night sweats! haha.

Please join me and we can keep eachother going on this looong and winding road to motherhood

Count me in! I'm currently stuck in the wonderful NHS hospital system - aka limbo - waiting to find out whether my blocked tube needs dealing with before we start our second ICSI. It looks like a hydrosalpinx, which could potentially flush away an embryo, so I might need it removing or clipping first. My local fertility unit loves to keep us waiting for months on end for a 10 minute appointment, so I'm preparing for a bit of a wait! So frustraaaating!

Count me in ladies, We have been refered to St Marys for ICSI but we have no idea if we will get funding. Our PCT are shaking things up at the moment so we are well and truly in limbo.

We will get there, even tho things are standing still at the moment.

I have actually heard if its tubal issues that IVF chances are better if tubes are removed, but obviously this is a big step. I have no tubes and everything else seems in good working order so hoping this will be our yr girls! Bring on those BFPS!
I will start a first page with our updates on if u think that's a idea? xxx

That sounds like a good idea to me. Ours is more male factor but I have a blockage in my left tube due to endo. I feel right now that I will never be a mummy and it is all hopeless! So many ups and downs to contend with!

We WILL be mothers no matter how we get there or how long it takes so dont lose hope. Keep that picture of your future family in your head and we can all support eachother xxx

Can I join please I'm due to start again sometime soon this will be my 2nd fresh cycle my frist cycle was a bit of a headache but I got a bfp. I had a FET on the 5th feb this year but sadly mc 3weeks ago and have no embryos left.

I am waiting for my next FS appointment as I had a lap next week. Should be in June, then they are going to refer me for IVF aslong as my BMI is right.

We seem to be in all the same threads AQ! Haha.

Oh and my problem is that both my tubes are messed up. But we do have the bonus that OH is totally fine.

I have been pregnant before aswell (sadly ended in a MC) but apparently if you have been pregnant before you have a better chance? Or so I am told.

I have recived a letter from st marys and I have an appointment 8th June, This is just to go through all our results and then to tell us thet we need ICSI, my local FS stuffed up with the referal so have had to do it the long winded way and get a referal from our GP. I hope it happens this year for us xx

From what I have found on the internet with my PCT (blackburn with darwen) we should get 3 funded cycles, which I am really happy about.

The only criteria we don't fit for funding at the moment is my BMI, but that should be sorted very soon.

They will decide in April if they are going to re instate funding. So we are just hoping any praying that we will get at least 1 shot.

It is Trafford PCT. I know all this because a friend of mine told she would get 3 tries of ivf and after her first cycle failed she then got a letter saying they would fund no more!

I also had this confirmed when I phoned trafford PCT. Why dont you give your PCT call and see what the say. I was told my referal will get filed and I will get letters informing me if things change.

We have got an appointment in 2 months for st marys so hopefully they will be able to fill us in a bit more then x
