Hi Slb80 I'm sorry hun. I can't believe they've stopped the funding there, that is really disgraceful. I'm worried about funding for LWH and keep checking for news.
Meanwhile I'm waiting for AF to start so I can have CD 3 bloods that will go with the referral for IVF. From my understanding, the bloods results will go with the referral so the OBGYN is waiting for them before sending it. My body isn't playing at the moment though I don't know what is going on...

Hello ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining you. After my FS appointment post HSG last week, DH and I are now considered "unexplained infertility". My FS did not suggest Clomid or IUI but said that IVF is the way to go for us. So we are being referred for IVF and was told it will be 12 months. I am from Northern Ireland and would love to know if anyone else is waiting in NI?.

Thought this is the best thread for me, hope you don't mind me joining in. I have had OD and prescribed clomid for 4 mths. Ovulated each time but still no BFP. I have asked to go to IVF and have an appt to find out the details on the 19th. Not sure how long it will take to actually start but I am hoping it will be soon.

Hi ladies, can I join you? We have our first ivf consultation at 3.30pm this afternoon....eek!! Initially i was not ovulating so was prescribe clomid. I started ovulating do they tested dh. Then our world fell apart. His morph is about 2%, motility similar. We paid to have baselines tests done privately so im hoping that will speed up the process for treatment planning. We are lucky and will be funded for one cycle of icsi by the nhs. I've read other's posts and feel it is so unfair that there is still a postcode lottery with ivf. It makes me so cross, people who have other illnesses are not denied treatment, so why is infertility different?! Grr! Sorry, just makes me so cross!
So yeah...first appointment this afternoon and i dont think ive ever felt so anxious!x

Hello ladies! I've just found this thread. DH and I have been referred for funded IVF and have our first clinic appointment on 13 May when I'm hoping we'll have our treatment programme confirmed (likely to be ICSI). I also hope we'll get an idea of timescales. Fingers crossed!

Hello everyone! I'm anxiously waiting for Monday afternoon- my first appointment with the specialist! I'm also waiting on AF!! I'm down 16 pounds now and, I think because of the weight loss, I ovulated a week later than normal. I wasted so many OPKs this month! LOL And every day I didn't get a + I was like "NOOOOOOOOO! Not NOW!!" LOL I've been tracking since August and have ovulated pretty much like clockwork and I was excited to bring my pretty charts to the specialist and now my latest chart is not at all like the others. I've never prayed for AF to get here before... now I'm praying hard! My temp dropped dramatically today so she should be here today or tomorrow morning. Hoping today though, so my appointment can land on cd3!!

Slb- The appt was a bit crap as it was only for FS to refer us for IVF so that was a bit of waste of time, but we have our PIE invite for the 24th may so cant wait for that! the ball really feels like it is moving now, as the letter says that treatment must start within 3mths of the PIE so all systems go! yaaaay How are u feeling? any news? x

AFM- I am over excited about our patient info evening on the 24th! its count down now! lol. AF is due 2 days after it, so should manage to get the bloods done that cycle and speed the process up a little

hiyaa ladies,

little bit about myself : im 19 and DH is 26

weve been diagnosed with 2 blocked tubes :/

we have an appointment on the 1st of june at nhs hospital, but have spoken to a ivf clinic about starting ivf, they said i can start when i like, i think the hospital appt is to sort out what to do about my tubes, honestly i hope they do nothing and just tell me i need ivf, refer me and then i can start asap,

i dont know if anyone knows this but we've pretty much already decided i dont want any surgery on my tubes, i dont want anything invasive and i would just prefer the ivf, if you dont want it can you turn down the offer of surgery?? or anything they suggest for that matter??

dream senario would be on the 1st of june i go hospital they tell me i need ivf and refer me then and there xx

I have no tubes but dh is fine so that is why we are having IVF.
I would say that u are best having your tubes removed if there are blockages as it makes you high risk for ectopics(sadly i had 2 and lost both tubes an our babies) and IVF was originally designed for women with no tubes/tubal factor so you would have high chance of it working, esp with being so young xxx

There is no point worrying intill there is a need to worry hun ;-) this you will learn as u go along. You are very lucky u have time on your side and im sure u will have ur baby one way or another very soon x We start our IVF cycle in July i think. Depends on cycle dates and how appts fall etc so either July or August xxx
