Ooh, exciting Lettuce! :D

GO TO SLEEP MARIA!!!

I'm having a good day today! First, Holly woke up at 7.30 instead of the usual weekend 6am. I went to TK Maxx to get some sheets, and there was a mahoosive queue outside (like over 100 people). Turns out the store was doing a promotion where the first 200 people got a £10 gift card. I was in the first 200 - so got Holly's Halloween costume for free :happydance: Did shopping at Sainos which was surprisingly cheap, then got home and found a parking space directly outside the flat - that is a fucking rarity :haha:

Lots of work lettuce!!

Yay for a good day Saph. My day has been argh with no nap and Maria climbing everything. I'd look forward to bedtime if I didn't already know that its going to be hell.

Yay lettuce that's great!!

My god I've got to get all my stock to the hospital this week, had six great big boxes in my car today, no idea where ill put all of them, the office is crammed already lol. The staff are happy for me that I've got a new job and not surprised I'm leaving lol :haha:

How did she sleep last night nats? If slept fine I would just give up on the nap and put her to bed a little early to compensate

She slept like shit. Well was alright for the first part of the night, woke up a few times but either self settled or settled with water but was wide awake from half 3 til 7

Holly is being a nap refuser too. We have put her in her new toddler bed, needless to say she won't stay in it :dohh: She's been chattering for over an hour and walking round the bedroom, even though she's knackered. Bed time will be fun tonight

Maria napped eventually when we tried again. She slept an hour and a half, hope it helps her sleep tonight

Eeek good luck with bedtime!

What made you swap to a toddler bed Saph? I'm confused about what to do with madam. I don't know if she's ready for a bed, and even if she was don't think we could do it here as all her toys are in her room so no doubt she'd be up playing! Was thinking whether to convert the cot into a bed when we move but didn't know if it would be too much too soon, new room new bed etc  She seems content at the mo so think I'll wait.

Fingers crossed Nats! I remember reading when madam was a baby that a less tired baby is easier to get to sleep at night. That's why it always made me laugh when people suggested keeping them awake during the day to make them sleep better at night.

That's true - Holly always sleeps better if she's had a decent nap.

We changed to a bed because madam climbed IN to her cot the other day. It was quite high too! She has been threatening to climb out for ages too. Naptime was a bit of a disaster, in the end DH nodded her off on our bed, then transferred her. She managed not to fall off the bed though :haha:

I've been cupcake baking today. I am making some cakes for a charity coffee morning at DH's work, and want to make some for a Halloween party we're going to, so thought I'd best practice! Considering I'd never even picked up a piping bag before, they didn't come out too bad :)

Come and get some then :winkwink: I only ate one and I feel sick  There's another 10 to get through!

How about just puting her down for a nap a bit later nats and cutting it down maybe to just 1 hour. Maybe she's just not tired enough for her nap when your first trying. I know Rory wouldn't go sleep if he wasn't tired.

Rory went through a stage of refusing nap a couple of months ago if you remember but he did still sleep absolutely fine at night, he actually slept longer because he added his nap time onto his bedtime. They are all different!! I have also read in toddler club that some children go through this phase at around 14/15 months (when Rory did) and then again before they are 2 but then pick them both up again after the little phases. Maybe she's just going through the before 2 phase and will settle back down again soon.

Urg, T is going through a phase of waking at 1am, refusing to go back to sleep... We ignored her for 30 mins last night, but Everytime we went into her room she got worse, so I took her downstairs 2am, she had a bottle, watched night garden and went back to bed no bother at 2:45am... Then Hayden woke at 3:30... Fed him and just tucked him in with us and he slept til 7.... 3 hours sleep for me last night.... Yawn.....

Ergh! That's rubbish Michelle. Put them to bed in the shed tonight if they wake up. They'll soon learn :winkwink:

AM's quite good actually. Sometimes she will be in her cot for an hour before napping. But she'll play and roll around and kick her plastic caterpillar toy on the cot bars full pelt. Same with night time. I know when she's tired, but sometimes takes her a while to drop off. Think she doesn't mind so much as she can reach her light switch and turns it on so she can play! Tonight she turned it off to go to sleep after playing!

Think the contracts for the house are being sent out next week! I should really start getting organised! Lettuce you made me feel really bad the other day saying how much you'd done already!!

I will save you cake Michelle :) Boo to no sleep!

Holly won't go to sleep in her new bed. I think she's still awake - we put her down at 9pm  I blame the shit duvet - don't buy the silentnight cotbed duvet, it's awful! Will buy her a nice feather duvet instead.
