The NEVER had a BFP thread. Lets stick together ladies!

Yeah, you must take folic acid. Preferably before you get pregnant, it is absolutely vital to ensure that there are no problems when it comes to the spinal cord forming and various of other life threatening issues or permanently disabling issues.

Charting/Temping would help tell you when you're ovulating, if you are ovulating and how long your LP is and if there is any problems. You just basically need a BBT thermometer and a little research on how to do it. I read 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' by Toni Weschler, and it really helped teach me what to do.

This pic is a little better... Thoughts?

bluckycharmed, I can see an extremely faint line. What dpo are you?

FF says 14 but I think that I O'd late and since I had surgery last month on my ovaries there's no telling. I have no cycle to compare it to.

Hi there,
We're just beginning cycle 11. Who knew something could be so excrutiating!? I've charted but cycles began 28 days (yay!) then began to vary between 33-59 days. We haven't sought professional help as I kind of want to make sure we've exhausted all other routes first.
This month I'm going to try cb digit opk, just to work out my phases for sure. Will also try preseed, which I've heard incredible thingsabout!
Did try bbt this month but I have sych disturbed sleep I read it wouldn't be valid.... is this correct?
Really want this asap, obviously, but esp by feb... I'm a teacher and feb conception spells perfect maternity timing, moneywise!
It feels nice to share my story... hopefully it'll be a different story soon!

welcome :)

I'm on my 10th cycle, it feels like forever!

Waking during the night definitely affects your bbt, I find that my temp is higher pre o and lower post o if I don't get at least 3 hours of sleep before temping. It took me a bit to get used to it and it works fine now, the main thing is I need to remember to not drink too much water in the evening so I don't have to get up so much during the night .

Luna was just looking at your chart... when do you think you are going to be testing?

Blucky that looks like a faint line to me! Can't wait to see tomorrow's test!!

Welcome! I'm a teacher too do I know what you mean. I tried to time things perfectly, but alas now I'll just take any month!

So is there any point in trying to temp whilst i'm waking in the night? Also i read you should temp before moving.... i need to move to get the thermometer! What's realistic when attempting to seriously bbt?

I think you could definitely do it. For me I just try to not drink so much, get up to pee once around 2am then temp around 5am, that way I always have at least 3 hours of sleep. Moving around in bed a little isn't a big deal, I keep my thermometer in the drawer in the nightstand so I wake up, roll over if I'm facing the other way, look at the clock, open the drawer and get my thermometer our, take my temp. I actually usually just push the button when it beeps and go back to sleep because my thermometer always shows the last temp when you first turn it on again.

Honestly it isn't nearly as hard or inconvenient as it sounds and it definitely tells you so much about your cycle :)

I keep my thermometer on my bedside and my phone set to the temparature input on my charting app! Will try afresh tomorrow. Damn cat wakes me several times in the night for attention or a cuddle... guess it's good training!

I know what you mean about the cat disturbing your sleep, ours goes through cycles of doing that too! We found it helped if we ignored or scolded the cat if she wakes us up at night, and closing the door helps too. I hope you can get your cat trained that waking you up is NOT ok.

Luna, yay for almost testing time!

My temp went up some this morning... im pretty sure this cycle is a bust...just hoping AF will come soon so I can start all over again. This charting stuff I think drive me more crazy than I thought it would just because my body is still trying to get in the groove since my Laparoscopy. Anywho... hope all of yall are doing well and fx for everyone testing soon! :dust:

Yea, I had originally taken off the 2 random temps that I had around day 16/17 but I went back and added them on just to see what it thought. I am going to leave it off for a few days and see if I can figure out what is going on. So confused

Well the :witch: got me... and to be honest with you I feel RELIEVED! Its actually a GREAT feeling to know that my cycle started BY ITSELF for the first time EVER!!! SOOOOO EXCITING! I thought I would be sad and discouraged, but AF has NEVER come on her own without some kind of assistance so WOO HOO!!:happydance: Now I can start fresh with a new cycle and my DH said we can try clomid this month to help us along! Is it weird that I am so excited about AF??? So in conclusion... the surgery must have helped make me work!!!! :happydance::happydance:

^Not weird at all to be excited about AF, I have started taking that approach too so I don't sink into the disappointment too much! Yay about starting on your own, hopefully it means good news from here on out! No AF yet, but I am not due til the 23rd.. starting to get nervous. I think I am out this month too :(

Whelp! Here's the update. Results from my hubby's sperm count. Low! 10, normal being 25-250... And motility at 55%, when the dr said normal is 75%. I'm still keeping my apt with the infertility specialist just in case he's not the only issue. We're making an apt for him with a urologist tomorrow! Wonder what are chances are if his Sperm count can't be improved? Hmmm...
