The NEVER had a BFP thread. Lets stick together ladies!

 Since I haven't been to the infertility specialist yet, maybe you ladies could give me some advice. is it better to "try" every day around ovulation? or every other day? especially if my hubby has low sperm count? opinions?

From what I've read, if your spouse has low sperm count you aren't supposed to BD every day, but rather time your BD more precisely. Of course this is rather a challenge since it's hard to pinpoint ovulation exactly.
But yes, they usually recommend you BD every other day, trying to target O-1 and O-2.
If you like reading, I highly recommend you check out Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It is quite informative and I learned a lot! Another great book is Perfect Hormone Balance for Fertility.
You CAN raise sperm counts naturally. Zinc is very important for men to take, and they've found that raising levels of it in men with sperm problems of all types, served to increase the sperm health.
Folic acid, coenyme-10, and vitamin C are also on the list.

hi there!,

On my 9 cylce ttc - I am 31 and married for a little over a year. I am having a saline sono test on Monday. Hopefuly my last infertility test. My other results for me and DH came out great. They are going to see whats going with my uterus/cervic (never can remember) - it looks like it might dop more than it should or might be septate. My RE thinks we should do trigger shots with either timed intercourse or IUI... I guess we will decide after this test....Good Luck to All! I have been feeling lonely & sad these days so its nice to have peole to vent or talk too.

hugs and welcome kmttc! I'm sorry you are sad, I understand how you feel, it is discouraging.
But don't worry, your RE will help you :)

:hugs: Welcome kmttc... I know how it feels to be alone in a TTC journey but the ladies here are great and will hopefully help you feel a little better!

Only 5 more hours til I get to pick up my DH from the airport :happydance: so glad I didnt O while he was gone!

Thank you so much for the info! I'm Absolutely going to get DH on some vitamins! What does O-1 and 2 mean? I'm still learning the lingo! Lol I'm not sure if I O'd yet? My temp didn't spike like it has in the past...

Good for you getting him on the vitamins! A good one for TTC couples is fertilaid, though I wouldn't recommend you use the women's formula as it can mess up your cycles.
Here's a link to their mens formula, it has details on what you can look for in a vitamin for him: https://www.fertilaid.com/male-fertility.asp

0-1 and 0-2 means 1 day and 2 days before ovulation.

Yes you are right, your chart doesn't show ovulation yet. You do have several positive opks right there though. If you un-discard the temp on the 26th does FF give you crosshairs? Are you charting fertile fluid? That can tell you soo much on if you are fertile. :)

Yay! I discarded the 28th temp and UN discarded the other two and it gave me cross hairs!!! :happydance:lol feels a little like I'm cheating? Lol
No I've never paid any attention to the fertile fluids. Is there a specific time or way to check?

Yes, you should look it up on fertility friend, they'll tell you what to look for. There are even youtube videos that show you what each type looks like.
The Taking Charge of Your Fertility book shows each type clearly also.
I don't think you have to check at the same time, some times the fluid will show up ALL day long and make it really clear that it's there. :D
If you check internally you're supposed to check internally every day, just make sure you use really clean fingers!
Youre looking for
dry - no real fluid to speak of
sticky - it just feels sticky on your fingers, when you touch them together
creamy - white, like milk, or lotion. Just think lotion/milk and you'll always be able to spot it
watery - like water literally - this is fertile
eggwhite - exactly like the white of eggs. gloopy, usually clear but sometimes opaque. STRETCHY - that's the distinguishing mark of eggwhite. it will stretch between your fingers - pretty cool actually.
Eggwhite is the most fertile, and when you see that you should be BD like crazy, because you are super fertile. This fluid helps sperm get up into the cervix and survive the hostile vagina. Once they get up through the cervix they can actually live in the fallopian tube for a few days until ovulation.
Which is why you can get pregnant from sex up to 5 days before ovulation.
I hope that is clear as mud! I suggest looking for some pictures of each type of fluid as that will help you figure them out.

 Thank u SO much min!!!! I'll start recording that next month! ( hopefully I won't have to!) you ladies are great!

Oy vey. So, I'm feeling like we may be out this month. I am currently on cd 18...I have no idea if I ovulated yet or not. This month I tried the digital opk's so I wouldn't have to play the guessing game, but on cd 15 it stopped working. I have tried a couple strips, but they have both been light. Not sure if I o'd already, or haven't yet. My dh and I usually bd eod but we missed a few days this month due to some family business that required our attention out of town:cry: We are back to eod now and trying to stay positive(as I didn't o until cd 20 last month), but feeling like our little eggy missed the boat this month. KMFX that I'm wrong. And a good friend of mine just started trying for her 3rd child less than a month ago and is already preggers. Happy for her, but just bummed...we've been trying for almost 1 1/2 yrs. Prayers and hugs for everyone on this thread.

Oh I forgot to mention that you can record fluid through the TWW also. Most women find they are either dry or creamy after ovulation, so it might give you a better idea of what both of those look like for you. :)

:hugs::hugs: So sorry :( It hurts to see obviously fertile couples just sprouting babies while you're just wanting one! This happens to me all the time.
We're all here to support and encourage you tho, try to stay positive!

Last night I had a very vivid dream that I got a BFP on a FRER and shared it with all my coworkers. (They're all older females who would be thrilled for me) Those two pink lines were so clear and I was so excited!
I woke up remembering it clearly, and I don't believe dreams have any meaning, but sure wish it wasn't just a dream!

I feel so angry and frusterated right now!! I know this is only our third cycle, but we are doing everything right!!! Using preseed, opk..and getting positives on them, and frequent bding!!! My period is due today and bfn. I dont get it!!! I cant believe im so upset and we havent even tried that long.

:hugs:

So I stay off B&B for the simple fact that I can't deal with the pain anymore. All the parties for friends kids and seeing all the posts on fb about all my friends being pregnant. They all bring so much emotion and pain that it is too much to handle. June 2013 we will have been together 11 years. August of 2013 will be the 11 year mark that we stopped using protection. In almost 11 years there has not been one single positive pregnancy test and I feel as if I have given up all hope. I don't want it anymore. I don't want the pain, the jealousy or the tears. i just want my one wish to come true. I just wish that once i could see those 2 pink lines and all this pain can stop. There is no hope left in me at this point. no wish to continue.

I am so sick of crying lol. There seems to be so many triggers on what brings them. They even pop up for no reason. I keep these screams locked in my head and it's like building pressure and about to explode. I don't know what to do with myself anymore and it has become almost impossible to control any emotion. The pills and procedures and stress all build up and smash every hope I have. What can I do? what is there to do? I can only keep praying that please God let this be my month.... 122 cycles and not one shred of hope.

:hugs::hugs:

So sorry ItsMy. Your pain and heartache is justifiable.:hugs:
Have you been to a fertility doctor?

Yea we need to see an RE but we dont really have the money for that. The one dr we did deal with for the last 4 years hasnt done a thing for us. as much as i press for tests and answers he gives neither. just a huge waste of time. And my husband is in the process of joining the army but it could be over a year before we even get to deal with their drs. I just feel like there is no hope. its been so long but there hasnt even been a sliver of hope that it will happen.
