Yea we need to see an RE but we dont really have the money for that. The one dr we did deal with for the last 4 years hasnt done a thing for us. as much as i press for tests and answers he gives neither. just a huge waste of time. And my husband is in the process of joining the army but it could be over a year before we even get to deal with their drs. I just feel like there is no hope. its been so long but there hasnt even been a sliver of hope that it will happen.
There is absolutely hope if you can get a doctor who will actually do something for you. That's unacceptable that your doctor wouldn't do any tests or anything - absolutely unacceptable of him grrr.
If you have insurance at all you could try another doctor who will actually listen and give you some tests.
Pretty basic ones would be an SA for your husband, and estrogen and progesterone level tests for you.
Do you chart temperatures? That would tell you a lot about what your body is doing, even if you're having a regular cycle it might be as simple as you're not ovulating. Temping would reveal that, and you can kickstart it with a round of clomid, or even soy.
Lots of info around these forums about that.
Anyway, I just don't want you to give up hope and feel sad. Doctors can be useless, but you can learn a lot on your own and be your own advocate!
I've been married 2 1/2 yrs, not preventing, not even the hint of a bfp. Unfortunately we don't have insurance for me yet, but I know my cycles are screwed up majorly and I'm not ovulating on my own, so I've been taking natural steps on my own to try and fix things.
It doesn't seem to be working yet, but its still encouraging to feel like I'm doing SOMEthing to help.
There are things you can try that can help!
