The NEVER had a BFP thread. Lets stick together ladies!

Yeah my specialist told me the same thing, I'm taking it days 3-7 so hopefully I'll be more pleasant to be around by the time :sex: time starts :haha:

Thanks for the support girls! Just started spotting today, so I start my estrace tomorrow and 2nd try on clomid in 3 days. Same dose because the MA at my drs screwed up and didn't order a progesterone just a pregnancy test when I did my blood draw! Oh well... I'm just trying to focus on getting super healthy and in shape until I finally get my BFP... I shouldn't have let myself get so hopeful last time. I just told my husband if it happens then great, if not I want to start adoption paper work by the end of the year... Adopt through the county and give a toddler or young child a loving home... Either way I'm going to be a mother.... It's taken a lot of stress off of me that we made up our minds about it.

As far as the clomid goes... It made me weepy...commercials made me cry! But not bitchy? Lol good luck ladies!

Aww how exciting having all of you ladies on clomid at the same time. This thread has rather died off, but I hope you all come back and update us often on how you're doing with the clomid crazy side effects.

2013 Is The Year - for all of us!

Especially for you Luna after 15 cycles of trying. *hug*

I have an appointment next Tuesday with a doctor who came recommended for dealing with PCOS. So I'm finally feeling positive. My birthday is in October and I want the best present ever growing in my womb by then!

NurseJaime - that's a great plan :) I too want to adopt if we don't have one naturally, but I am going to give it another few years - we've only been at it for about 1.5 years so I figure I have to give my doctor time to do everything he has planned and he has a lot more up his sleeve. But that's also my plan if we don't conceive naturally - and honestly, I think even if I do get pregnant that I still want to adopt. My mom was adopted, and I really am pro-adoption.

minuet - I don't know if it will help or not, but after I was sitting there crying in my doctors office because I felt like PCOS was going to be a death sentence for conception - he said, "I will be 100% honest with you - my PCOS patients are my favorite. I know what the problem is, and I know how to go about fixing it. It's those with regular cycles and no known issues that trouble me because we don't know where to start or what will work. PCOS is nothing we can't overcome most of the time. So don't be so down, I really don't think that now since we have your tubes clear and the endometriosis removed that we will have a problem making you ovulate"

J_Lynn that was so sweet of your doctor to encourage you like that! That does give me some hope, thank you.

Well I had a great visit to the doctor today, after waiting for 1 1/2 hrs to see her.
I explained my history of irregular cycles, charts that showed no ovulation, insanely rapid weight gain, high fasting insulin levels and more, and she confirmed that put together it clearly showed PCOS and insulin resistance.
It was such an incredible RELIEF to have my self-diagnosis confirmed, to have someone say all the things I'd read and learned and knew.
She put me on Metformin, and gave me Provera to induce a bleed. She offered to start me on Clomid right away, but I wanted to give the Metformin a chance for a few months first and hopefully I'll ovulate on my own.

Hi there :hi: sorry to butt in but I thought I would just share my story with you, I had the same exact symptoms and diagnosis as you, also put on metformin to ovulate on my own - after 3 months nothing. You lucky your doctor suggested clomid, mine wanted to wait... I read so many success stories on metformin but it doesnt help that much when it comes to ovulation - well at least for me it didnt and I was put on 1500mg. I would suggest you go onto clomid sooner, I hate that I wasted time with the metformin but if you are in no rush then a few months shouldnt be a problem for you! Good luck - hope you get your :bfp: soon! P.S I did get a period 28 days after my last AF with metformin but still no ovulation, I am now on my first month of Clomid

Hi everyone! Just started Metformin. Irregular periods... so confused :(

Welcome :flower: Why are you confused? Did the doctor prescribing Metformin explain what was wrong and how the medication would help?

Thanks for sharing your story. That is pretty much what my doctor said, that she thinks I won't ovulate even on metformin without a kickstart from clomid.
However with everything going on in life atm, Clomid just wouldn't work right now, so I'm willing to give metformin a few months. I DO want to be pregnant this year though so I'm not going to wait too long!

Do keep us posted on how you are doing with the Clomid. :)

Hey ladies!!!

Just got back from my HSG appointment. Happy to say were all CLEARED!!!

My Dr. said my tubes were super fast, super great!!!!!:happydance:

That's great news :)

Have you had all the other testing done too? We did and there is nothing wrong so I'm trying clomid.
