Those who didn't drive and now do...do you socialise more?

yep I hated bus journeys and the way they stop every 5 seconds really does my head in lol

Yeah that annoys me too! At least with trains they don't do that...I get a train then a bus in to work in the mornings. I think driving would be more expensive but at it'd be good just for the sanity factor :haha:

I dont think it costs me anymore money really because we used to use taxis every day to get LO to school and its much cheaper now! The cost of bus fayre for me to southampton is £7.30 thats ridiculous, I could do 3 or 4 journeys there with that in my car for that amount of petrol lol

That's mental! And I bet taxis were crazy expensive too. The buggers always seem to go super slow just to push the cost up lol.

It costs me $120 for a monthly train pass that I can use unlimited times and $100 on my prepaid bus card. OH says if I was driving it would be about $300 a month on gas and then the parking at work is $60 for first in first served parking a month. I swear the gas wouldn't be that much but then seeing as I don't drive I guess I wouldn't really know haha.

I know this isnt answering ur question, more the opposite...but my car has been off the road For the past two months and I won't be getting it back til wayy after Xmas and I really miss it. I'm not socialising half as much as I did with it because my friends all live at least 4 miles from me. When I had the car on the road we'd go visiting at least three times a week to family or friends.. I'm still taking Eli up to baby gym on a Friday but that's a feat in itself without the car... A good 2.5 mile walk on a nice day or a 20 min bus ride. I can't wait to get the car back. Miss it loads.!

I passed my test when I was 17 (nearly 30 now )

I know that I've been on holidays/day trips and visited places I never would have without my car. I love it and don't know how we'd live without it.

I'm so looking forward to stuff like that. even stuff like popping down to the supermarket! :haha:

Lea - do you have a van so you can fit Tegan's wheelchair in?

Nope! At the minute we have a Fiesta which is too small for us now so we're getting a bigger car in May. Tegan uses a carseat and we put her chair in the boots :)

Ohh I like Fiestas  Cool, just me being nosy really :haha:

I like Fiestas too, especially as I passed my test in one 6 years ago :happydance:
