Thread killer........

I feel so bad, LO is a terrible sleeper and lately I've just been giving in when she wakes up and putting her in my bed but tonight I thought enough is enough so been trying pupd and feel so guilty and just want to give her a cuddle :dohh:
I'm having to sit on the floor because my bed creeks and she is still awake, facing the other way so if it wasn't for the creek she wouldn't even notice. If I try and sit on the bed she will straight away get up and we will be back where we started. I thought they were supposed to be better sleepers when they get older

Daphne is getting worse with sleeping as she's getting older she slept through 7pm-7:30am when she was 6 weeks old up until the 4 month regression and now she sleeps worse than when she was a newborn :dohh: ever since the clocks have gone back she thinks 4am is the perfect time to start her day

Thread killer here hope you ladies get some rest soon :hugs:

Welcome abroad!!! :flower:

I am dreading Danny hitting 4 months, he's such a good sleeper at night that we been spoiled with him

Lil I ordered the Baby Whisperer book to find out more about PUPD to try through the day, is it scary? It took my dad a full hour of wheeling Danny round today before he would give in, I escaped to the shop :happydance:

Back from LO's jabs, poor thing the needle was really big :(
Ella was an amazing sleep when she was little, I couldn't have asked for more but now... :dohh:
I haven't read any book so I don't know if how I'm doing it is exactly like it's supposed to be but it's not too bad although I feel awful after. I'll put her in the cot and when she cries I try rubbing her back and stuff, when that doesn't work (which it doesn't) I pick her up and she stops crying straight away so I put her back. Repeat this until she gets bored and just accepts she's going in the cot, then she gives me a filthy look and lies there looking all sad until she goes to sleep. I have to stand right next to the cot until she goes to sleep still.

I don't know what it would be like in the day because Ella's always only ever slept for about 30 mins after being pushed in the pushchair, now she doesn't nap at all.

Aw, poor wee thing, how is she after jabs? danny has his 16week ones next Monday and I'm dreading them already, he howled the plce down last time and I was ready to join in and cry with him

Your method sound slike exactly what I do through the day, it usuallu works - eventually

She wasn't too bad screamed for about 30 seconds and then went all cuddly. Hopefully she doesn't have a reaction later.
Aww poor thing they do have to put up with a lot when they're little.

It does work with Ella but I still have to sit right next to her.

Aw and I though Fran was a bad sleeper! She is an angel in comparison to your 2!!!

We did have a blip around 6 months but she pretty much sleeps through now, apart from perhaps fussing once or twice and popping her dummy in usually does the trick! Then she wakes for the day around 6-6.30am, comes in with me and we cuddle for a bit and watch cbeebies from about 7-8 before getting up lol.

I feel awful for complaining, Danny sleeps through but it's just through the day we have the problems. If he doesn't nap he won't even think about taking his bottle then I get stressed about his feeding.......he's already down oz's as he's dropped his night feeds and since we stopped thickening his milk he's on a smaller teat so has to work harder and gets fed up halfway through a feed so takes less..................................................................................................................................................................................................................... I'm stopping now cos I'm even annoying myself :rofl:

So why don't you just go back on a bigger teat if he's struggling hun?

Tried that, we were using the large size 2 NUK but it's far too fast and he ends up coughing and spluttering through the feed. Have been on a treasure hunt for the last few days to get the in between size, got latex ones yesterday but OMG the smell :nope:

Ordered some silicone ones off Amazon so hope they'll sort us out.

I made a deal yesterday with him yesterday that if we got the teats for him I'd get new boots for me, didn't happen

Anna - I picked up some more of those disposable placemats today, Winnie the Pooh ones. Do you still want me to send some to you?

I've just ordered LO's Christmas presents, such a relief getting that done
We went to a bargain xmas group at the children's centre today, I thought it would be doing things with the LO's like hand prints on cards etc...no we sat there sticking pieces of fabric to plastic cups :| We were supposed to be there for 2 hours but I lasted about 45 minutes and made my excuses :haha:
Oh and one of the other women was sat there straightening her hair, with all the little one's running around. I couldn't believe it and the staff didn't care.

It was definitely not for me. I understand making presents to save money but what we were making no one would want  Oh well I made the effort, so in one day I went from bargain Christmas to an expensive Christmas order :haha:

I was referring to the woman straightening her hair! I mean, how ridiculously stupid!

 yeah I know, but you know she had to look good for when she left for 5-10 minutes to go to the shop (without lo)
