thread slow to load first page

I have a thread that has a huge amount of pages (1731!) The first page is extremely slow to load. I thought maybe it was because it had to much info on the first page so I put it in a spoiler. This didn't seem to help. Is it just slow to load due to the amount of pages? Is there something I can do so people can still load this page without it taking 5 minutes to load?

It loaded with in 10 seconds to me (I flipped back and forth between the first page a few times to make sure). Are others on the thread having the same issue? I don't believe that the information on the first page should be making it slow (I didn't see any large files/pictures) and the number of pages shouldn't matter either so I'm not sure what could be causing it.

I'm checking with others right now. I just tried again and it took a good 2 minutes to load. I'll try clearing things on my computer to see if that helps.

Others are having the same issue. I'm afraid that it takes so long to load people aren't able to view the info for us all. We've been a tight group for almost 2 years now and keeping up with that first page allows everyone to know whats still going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm... I'm not sure either. I've asked for others to check it and let me know. Could it be that since we have all posted in there it's taking us longer than say others who haven't posted in there? Sounds crazy but thats all I can think of.

Loaded instantly for me also although I don't disbelieve there may occasionally a delay. My suggestion would be to do a new thread and we close the current page down with a link to the new one which can be started with a link in first post like 'continued from *link*'.

Suggestions for new thread title:

• IVF until we all get our bfp! 2012-2013 *13 w/twins & 1 w/triplets!* - Thread 2
• IVF until we all get our bfp! 2013-2014
• IVF until we all get our bfp! 2013 (add the 2014 at later date)
