throat sweets

hi can anyone tell me can you have throat sweets whilst pregnant like strepsils just i have got the worst sore throat thanks

No you cant have any type of medical throat sweets, try some honey and lemon and hardboiled sweets hope it goes soon x

you can have lockets hun...it even says on the packet no side effects reported in preg

I had the butter cup sweets. The doc said not to take throat sweets but could have menthol,so as long as the sweets have noting else in...the buttercup ones didnt have anything dangerous in,i think only sugar and menthol.

There are a few safe cough drops and sprays you can use. I just bought some Cepacol cough drops to use and doubled checked with the pharmacist that they were OK.

Glycerin sweet can be used in pregnancy, if you are in the Uk Boots sell them.

I was gonna say the dr told me to stay away from strepsils and things during pregnancy. Hope it doesnt last too long.....
