to much milk?

my LO is 4 weeks old now and he is wanting 5-6 ounces every 2 n half hours but i am trying to drag it out to every 3 hours. he has been on hungrier baby milk for 2 weeks already and he tops up on about 1-2 ounces of water btween feeds to. my first LO was on 4 ounce every 4 hours for agges so i cant help but think that this one is having way to much?

i does sound alot but i would keep going with the milk, dont give too much water because its bad for them at the moment. Then mention it to your HV. I think you just have a hungry baby, i wouldnt worry x

I was worried that Joe was having too much milk, but they go through alot of growth spurts and my HV said that feed him if he's hungry.
May be worth calling your HV to chat about it. I agree with bathbabe, I'm not sure how much water they're supposed to have at that age.

my little one is 11 weeks old and is taking 8 oz every 2 hours 3 hours if im lucky during the day lol but ive been told if hes hungry to give him it

yeah i have been giving it him if he cries for it but it just seems like he never stops lol. the lonest i can make him go at the minute is about 3 hours it just seems ridiculous :S health visitor is coming out next week so hopefully she will no what to do lol. thanks for your replies x
