Top Six Parent Pet Peeves

We've got a pub that gave our kids, children's knives and forks.... they were that good OH tea leafed them

Do you know though I don't think that people can win if I'm in one of those moods. If she hadn't opened the door I would have barked after her...thanks a bunch, it's not like I've not got my hands full...another comment that I've said before

On the rare occasion i see my mother the first thing she does is mentions my weight and then says "isnt Rivers hair going blonde". IT ISNT AND NEVER WILL WOMAN!

Ha, my Mum does the same.

She ALWAYS says 'it still has a ginger tinge'

She is is so hung up on the fact she is blonde with reddy bits

Urgh i hate it when they bring out really hot toddler food on a hot plate and put it infront of River! Real bright idea that..its not like shes going to complain its not warm enough and send it back to the kitchen.

Older kids in soft play knocking River about...i swear ive been close to pushing them down (im talking 8+ here)

Getting on the bus and having some idiot look at me as if to say "you want me to get up dont you?" of course i do twat your in the buggy bay and there are plenty of other seats!

People who say "ooo shes big isnt she?" like its a bad thing

People who contradict me when i see River is tired/hungry/grumpy

When people look at Rivers amber necklace and say "oh what a nice necklace....." when they are actually saying "WHY is she wearing a necklace"

Basicly people are my pet peeve

THIS!!!! I think we get it every time we go somewhere someone comments. I just smile and dont say anything because I know i havnt just put my baby in a random necklace for the fun of it! Pisses me right off!

We went out for OH's birthday as well as not having toddler cutlery (we brought our own) they put AJ's meal down away from him as the plate was piping hot but put a piping hot plate down in front of him with garlic bread on! Stating 'mind the plates their very hot!' Seriously where is the sense??

The stupid cutlery annoys me! Now maybe that's because I allllllways, like 100% of the time, forget to bring any for Ruby, but as you said, surely if they're going to sell kids meals (and charge the bloody fortune they do for them) they should come with suitable cutlery? Ruby always ends up eating with her fingers when we're out.

It really really really winds me up when i tell someone that one or both of the kids are tired and i get 'They don't look tired'

Also when people see Emmas legs (shes in a cast from her chest to her ankles) and they always say 'arrh the poor thing, she must hate it/be really uncomfortable/it must really upset her' whilst this is been said she is usually laughing/trying to grab the persons hair/clothing etc../trying to escape from the buggy/your arms - im like no she doesnt notice it (cant you see ) AND when they give me the look like i did something to her

When i go to work and Lucy asks who is going to look after them, im like 'daddy's looking after you today' so she says 'oh daddy's babysitting' - there is NO point trying to explain that to a 4 year old - i have tried and failed
