Top Six Parent Pet Peeves

I just kind of hate when people talk to me and amelie :( Like on the bus, when shes moaning and wriggling about and some old person tries to make small talk. I dont want to talk to you, just shut up.

yea and when they stop talking your stuck next to them for the rest of the journey and its right awkward

The one peeve i have, that if one more person says it to me i will scream at them is "i hope your going to dye his hair when hes older" is there anything wrong with having ginger hair nope so bugger off.

I agree with the bringing hot food and no toddler cutlery though

one thing i hate is people telling me EVERYTIME they see me, how much my son doesn't look like his dad. "ooh he's not his dad is he. definitely your side of the family. nothing like Laila" :| especially when i don't agree ha! x

oh and people telling me how white they are considering they're mixed race. Laila is getting a little tan on her now but now i get it about Romane :dohh: i hate going out with my OH and our friend cos her little girl is mixed race asian too and is very dark, and our 2 are really light, i'm sure everyone thinks he's with my friend and i'm just the tag along :laugh2:

"oh you have lots of children", "OOOOH you go to work?"
"you mustnt get any quality time with the kids then"

the above annoy me greatly like when you have over a certain number of kids you cant have a career too

the amber necklace thing annoys me too

OMG Why would someone suggest you dye your LOs hair?? That's crazy!

argh! the amber necklace thing annoys me too! So much so I've started replying with "oh don't you know what they are for? You must really be behind the times! My friends likes that - she keeps shoving mushy food and medicine down her babies throat!"And laugh at them...yup I'm a meany mummy too!

Im with you on the resturant meals - when they bring them out at 1000 degrees and my son sees his food and wants it there and then but has to wait for it to cool down as I blow frantically on every spoon full! OR they bring out all our food together and put the pipng hot food down right in front of him! Great move! If he gets his little hands on it before I can do a quick ninja move to get it out of his reach he will end up with 3rd degree burns!

The piping hot food is such a pain, that with the adult sized cutlery

I get annoyed when someone says "so it's time for your next one soon" well how do you know if were having anymore? And what if we can't? (We're not planning a second so this really grates on me) :growlmad:

Or the parents of older children that use the unsupervised play areas in pubs as babysitters and their hyperactive kids are running loose knocking all the toddlers and preschoolers off their feet

Also competitive mums, I'm not joining in this bizarre competition because Jay will do it (insert use toilet, count to 100, recite the alphabet etc etc) in his own time, enough said!!

Oooh you got me on a roll then

xx

OMG, why would you say that to someone?! :dohh: Number 4 is so true, does nobody in the restaurant industry have kids?!! My added peeve would be that I'm sick of people saying, "oh two so close together, I'll bet you've got your work cut out for you", sometimes there's just no point even responding.

About the restaurant thing. A friend of ours took their children to a restaurant and ordered their one year old a bowl of soup and the ditz of a waitress sat the bowl of piping hot soup right in front of their baby. Needless to say she put her fingers right in it! Rightfully so they were livid about it. Well they made a complaint and the owner sent them a gift certificate as an apology :saywhat:

Another pet peeve is when parents take their children to the play area at the mall and expect everyone else to watch their kids. One little girl bumped her head and her mother couldn't even bother to take 2 mins away from her cell phone to check on her.

Or the adults who ignore the big bolded signs around the play area that say NO SHOES and SOCKS must be worn. I find it absolutely disgusting when people go in with bare feel especially since babies are crawling on that floor.

Being ginger must be contagious or something lol not being ageist but its always old people, they either love it or hate it

Wow they aren't pet peeves that's just amazingly rude :growlmad:

General parenting wise though I agree 100% about hot food and the stupid effing cutlery they give kids that's as long as their arms!!

P.S Nice to see you about more Wobbs :)
