When does the next series start!?

If you've got FX then season 2 is starting this month- Friday 26th February at 10pm to be exact. Otherwise I believe you have to wait for the summer to catch it on C4. God only knows when season 3 will make it onto British TV as it's not being aired in America until June this year! Alternatively there are tons of site that offer downloads and one that lets you watch online as far as episode 9- it asks you to download a program that allows pop up adverts though so I think it may be a bit dodgy!

I haven't really looked, but have there been any rumours about casting for Season 3?
I'm quite intrigued as to how they are going to work out the plot twists between the book and the series.
I pretty much think of the two as separate entities. I've enjoyed the books, but I think the writing on the series is much better.
Two different mediums, so maybe comparing apples to oranges?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next season.

They have announced some cast for Season 3. Alcide Herveaux will be played by Joe Manganiello, Crystal Norris by Lindsay Pulsipher (according to The Hollywood Reporter), Russel Edgington will be played by Denis O’Hare, Talbot (Edgington's boy toy) will be played by Theo Alexander, Franklin Mott by James Frain. There are tons of other new characters and the more I read the more I cringe. It's the pernickety little details the frustrate me the most- like the wilful misunderstanding of blood bonds and how shifter families work (Sam's brother is set to be a shifter too!). I understand the need to make changes for TV but what they're doing in True Blood is just ridiculous. They could at least keep the rules of the world the characters inhabit the same!!

I love true blood! I watched the second season on a streaming site, and I've started reading the first book now.
I bought the boxset off amazon for £15 at christmas time which has the first 8 books in it.
I am struggling though ,I don't think that the author is a great writer. But it's bearable.

I gave up after book 2, it was just to disjointed and lacking in substance. Can't wait for the new TV series though!

I'm currently reading The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters, whom I consider to be a GREAT writer, so I'm hoping the switch to pulp fiction isn't too grating!
