TTC 16 months awaiting referral

Jenni thats so crap Hope ur OH isn't feeling too down about himself. Yes keep researching online. There's plenty of stuff out there that will help you. I found a site a couple of months ago where someone had posted everything about increasing OH's semen levels. They'd gone private aswell, and posted a list of everything that was recommended. As i said before though, just take some time out and enjoy being a couple. It takes the stress away and sometimes that's all thats needed. I really do wish you the best! xx


Galaxy how's it going? Have you had more bloods done yet, or had an appointment made for your HSG?

Ive had my CD 2-3 bloods done (Had them done CD3 as it AF came christmas day lovely huh!)
I have my CD 21 bloods on monday!

Then I guess I have to sit back and wait for them to contact me regarding results and another appointment?
Im not really sure how it works but Im such an impatient person I hate waiting and not knowing.

Ooh yay! Have your bloods been done by your GP or at the hospital? My appointment for the HSG was made there and then by the consultant when I had my initial appointment at the fertility clinic. It has to be done at the start of your cycle but before day 10, and when you've stopped bleeding. At my hospital they only did the tests on 2 days of the week aswell so it's quite hard to pick a date haha! Guess it's ok if you're really regular and certain you'll come on on that date!

I'm doing well thanks, feel soo much better. MS faded loads, there's only the odd morning when I feel dodgy, and I do start to feel sick if I get hungry, I have to eat there and then! Haha! I've got my 16 week appointment with the midwife on Weds and my 20wk scan is booked for Valentine's Day

How exciting!! It's all coming around so quick!

So I had a HSG test booked in but then I realised it would make it CD12 so I rang to check that out and the lady said "Oh no I can't do that sorry"so it had to be cancelled! I am so glad I double checked!

AF is due valentines day Never mind

Still waiting to see the FS for my blood results ....

How did your 16 week check go?

Have they made you a new appointment for a HSG then? yeah good job you did check! Have you got to make an appointment for your results or can you just ring up for them? It's so frustrating when you just seem to be waiting around all the time!

16 week check was actually really quick, only in there about 5 mins, but got to listen to the heartbeat I'm 20 weeks this Saturday, half way through already! Can't believe it, and my scan is next week so get to see the little babba again

That has gone mega fast!! Exciting stuff! Will you be finding out the gender?

I think I just wait until my next appointment comes through to see the FS and then he will go through my resuts. I was warned I wouldnt be seen for 3-4 months after the first appointment I just have no patience

I have to phone up on the first day of my next cycle to book my HSG appointment and hopefully they can then fit me in to do the procedure

Wow 3-4 months is a long time to wait :/ Did they give you any advice on what you should be doing in the mean time? Just try and stay positive tho coz things are moving along now! So does that mean you could make an appointment this month for your HSG?

Yeah it's a long old wait but it's nearly coming to the end of the 3-4 months so I am hoping an appointment will come through very soon .....

I was literally told what would happen next (bloods and HSG) and that was all ....
The FS did go through mine and DH history and asked us lots of questions regarding intercourse etc so I don't think there was any advice to give.
