Hi Guys, Wondering if you can offer some advice?
I have been on the pill (microgynon 30) since I was 15, when I turned 24 I started to have a few issues with my blood pressure e.g. it fluctuated too much (wasn't dramatic but the nurse wasn't happy with me staying on the pill) so I looked into other contraceptive methods (other tablet forms e.g. cerazette) however they gave me consistent headaches.
Seeing as all this was happening, my partner and I had the conversation and decided to stop protecting against pregnancy and let nature take its' course NTNP...however in the past 2 months we have decided that actually we would really like to start a family, especially as we are now moving into our own home properly together after a lot of saving and living with family so essentially you could say we are finally TTC.
We have been having unprotected sex regularly for the past 6 months yet I have not fallen pregnant. I understand that it can take some time and am wondering whether the fact I have been on an oral contraceptive for a while that this will take a while for me to get my cycles back and ultimately fall pregnant.
Before being on the pill my periods were regular 28 days, now I have come off they settled into a 31/32 day pattern however this month I came on at 29 days...is this a sign my cycles are returning to normal?
Past couple of months I have had acne, and severe breast discomfort prior to AF coming. In terms of my history I have been pregnant before however I suffered a miscarriage due to an allergy which involved my admission to hospital and need for adrenalin. Also my mother and grandmother should have never had children due to health difficulties, however I do not have the same health problems I would like to have children sooner rather than later to increase my chances.
Sorry for too much info, just trying to stop myself worrying (which is probably not helping in the 1st place!)
