TTC baby number #1

Well fingers crossed that's a good sign....me n my boyfriend have agreed every other day to BD will be enough for now, he works shifts mon-fri as well.....just gotta look after ourselves n keep ourselves in tip top condition.

I'm a very impatient person, once I've decided I want something I normally want it yesterday so this is going to be a heck of a learning curve for me to stay patient....But I guess it's good practise for when I'm expecting and again for when the baby would arrive...lol

I'm excited to share this journey with u ladies! Lets have a lucky group :happydance::hugs:

I think every other day would definitely be enough fur you to get your BFP! Good luck to you. I just wish I had the time to do that haha.

I'm the same I just want it so bad and I want it NOW lol but I'm trying not to let it obsess me! I'm so glad I joined this forum now because I haven't told any of my friends or family we are trying incase things don't go well but keeping all of my thoughts and worries to myself had been stressing me out which obviously hasn't helped me with my baby attempts. I have a really good feeling about this :) x

I know I think this forum will really help us all through this journey through the good and challenging, once I'm back at work nights in a couple of weeks i doubt we will be able to BD every other day unless I wake OH up when I get in which I don't think he will be to impressed with when he has to be up early haha I might try it though haha xxx

Yeh well I know it will definitely help me being able to talk about stuff with people instead of just thinking 'ahh it's not happened yet there must be something wrong me!!' Which to be honest has gone through my head a few times! See my partner is very much of the opinion of it will happen when it happens, so sometimes when I say right lets have sex now n he feels too tired he just tells me to leave him alone haha! I just want it now but I really wish I could think more like him x

This thread is great! Its nice to know we all worry about the same things and its not just me being totally obsessive!

I totally understand the feelings of impatience. I am still waiting for AF to finish so we can actually start BDing! I can't imagine how tww will feel every month!

I think us ladies tend to worry more because we want to plan everything and think everything through constantly whereas men don't. I'm pretty sure DH thinks we will BD once and three weeks later I will be PG!

Kalia and mytimewillcome I am in Birmingham too!!

Hey there :)

Yeh this thread is fab eh haha! In only one night it has put a good few of my worries of the past few months at ease!

I completely agree! I think we worry about it more because it is our bodies it is (or hopefully will soon) be happening to and so we worry about it more. I know what you mean!! I keep tellin my partner that were not going to get pregnant by just randomly BDing once or twice a week and he just says it'll be fine. I want to just shake him sometimes but don't want to be too pushy haha.

How long have you been trying? X

Hi tess08! This is our first cycle so we are only just starting out. I feel like we have been waiting forever to get to this point where we are in a position to start trying. DH was adamant he wanted us to be in the best possible position before we started. My head knows he was right but its been so hard to wait when your heart is just telling you to have a baby NOW! I can only hope that it doesn't take us too long to get our BFP! I am an impatient person at the best of times, my nickname is little miss instant so all this waiting will kill me!!!

At least we have got each other to talk to now and take our mind off the waiting and worrying! :)

I am trying not to be too pushy about BD either! I think DH will enjoy the first few months of BD as it will be novel but I'm hoping it won't become a chore if it starts to go on for months!

Hi I'm pretty new to this site and me and my partner started to TTC only almost 2 weeks ago... Long time coming!! We had an ectopic pregnancy in Dec 2010 and my tube was rupturing and I had to have emergency op and my tube removed also found out I have poly cystic ovaries but not the syndrome to be honest I'm not 100% what the difference is, after the ectopic i was to scared to try so we decided to move house, holidays ect and now we are 100% ready I'm now 25 and OH is 30.

I know some of these questions are probably silly but hey ho :)

I'm starting to take folic acid is there any other vitamins I should be taking?

I'm eating healthy i follow the slimming world diet and I am starting at the gym again this week how much excercise is recommended when TTC as I read some where to not over do it?

How often should I be doing the baby dance haha at the moment we are doing it every other day?

Is it true as I only have one tube the remaining tube moves to where ever the egg is being released from?

How do I know when I'm ovulating is it worth buying ovulation kits?

Sorry for all the questions and thank you to anyone who reads this :) xxx

Hay hun and welcome:flower:
I think baby dancing every other day is fine but every second day if dh has a lower sperm count so the soldiers can recharge :haha:
I haven't got a clue regarding your remaining tube sorry hun
I think it's up to you if you want to use opk's I have just started them after 16months!!! of trying I found out I was o'ing a few days later I could kick myself! So don't rely on the ovulation calculators not every women ovulates 14 days before her period....
I'm also in birmingham  moved here a few months ago

Sending you lots of baby dust!!....... good luck!! Xx :hugs:

Aww are u really such a small world where abouts you from if you don't mind me asking? I'm over in kings Heath way..

I'm thinking I will leave the kits for a few months n just try n relax n see what happens n maybe try them in a few months if I don't get a BFP..

Good luck and hope you get a BFP soon :) xxx

Such a small world indeed I no kings heath :D... I'm in woodgate valley??? Thanks hun hope u get your bfp to:hugs:

hi again ladies !
i think all of us women are the same - i am sooo impatient as well ! when i want something it has to be right away, so after the first month when i didn't get a bfp i was kind of just like, what!? how can this be ?! hahaha. learning to calm down is probably an important thing, i agree. how can i bodies do what they are supposed to be doing if they are busy freaking out ?
i love this site because we also haven't mentioned it to friends and family yet that we are trying, we want to wait until it happens to make the big announcement (i did tell my mom because i tell her everything, she knows as much as the dh does haha). it is so nice to have people to talk to who are in the exact same boat as you ! and i find that sometimes strangers can actually be less judgmental than people you are close with at times.

i am not sure when i o'ed this month, but my last af was june. 1. i am still assuming that i will be 28 days, like i was before i got off the bcp (this will be my second cycle off).. but who knows, my cycle length may have changed ? has this happened to anyone else ?
anyways i couldnt resist and went ahead and tested this morning with fmu, and of course i got a bfn.. grr ! but i am still trying to convince myself that maybe it is too early yet to detect a positive.. haha, but deep down i think i may be out for this month. so i am just waiting for af to arrive so i can get her out of the way and try extra hard next month !!!

anyone else have any updates ??
& Kalia101, i am in canada !! lol not as close of the rest of you.

baby dust to all !!! :)

Well I'm pretty new to everything, only on cd10 so taking each day as it comes at the min.....Mind u I was so tired last night I was in bed and asleep by half 8 lol....and I slept right through! I'm off to the doctors today to talk about TTC, need to discuss Folic acid with him, I have a cousin and great aunt with Pierre Robin syndrome(hair lip, cleft palette) and when my aunt had a geneticist look at the cases he recommended a higher dose of folic acid. So lets see what my doc has to say. My boyfriend will be starting nights on Monday....I get in from work at bout half 5 n he starts at 10 so I intend to Pounce on him once I get in n before he goes lol.....sorry for TMI but a few quickies will be in order next week lol

Hope u all have a good day

Ps. I'm from Hartlepool bout 45 minutes south of Newcastle :flower:

Its nice to talk to ladies from all over the world with this one common theme! Hopefully we can all celebrate our BFPs wherever we are!

We are keeping quiet about ttc too so this site helps me talk about things without constantly going on at DH about babies! I think I would drive him nuts otherwise!

I get the feeling we could all do with trying to chill out a bit.....easier said than done though :-\

Oh yes defo easier said than done lol. I have only said one thing to my bf about us trying..."every other night yes?" Lol that's it, he would just stress out if I told him everything, hence why I'm here

I have told my friends but that was more to get them off our case with the "when ru going to have a baby?" Questions....we are the only ones childless in our group u see, and now I've told them we are TTC they have backed off lol

I like the thought of having buddies from all over the world as well!

I wish I could say I'm close too but unfortunately I'm in sunny Scotland haha!

I'm the same with my partner, I try not to mention it too much because he keeps telling me to just chill out and it will happen when it happens so I don't really want him knowing that its literally ALL I'm thinking about as I fear he may have me sectioned lol. That's why I'm loving this thread as I can share my worries etc and no one is going to judge me as we are all in the same boat!

Anyone feeling like they may have caught the egg this month then? I know I certainly haven't so I'm just wanting AF to show her ugly fave ASAP so I can get to trying again!! I have ordered about 100 OPKs so here's hoping July will be my month :) x

Where have you got your OPK's from? I was looking on Amazon but didn't really know which were best...

Yeah this forum is really good for talking things over without anyone saying "will you just chill out and stop going on about it" lol.

I don't think I have ovulated yet to be honest....I've estimated that it's in the next few days so BD'ing every other day started from this week....Only time will tell, I'm just hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes back to normal straightaway after the pill....Long shot I know, but I can always hope [-o< xx

Hii welcome :)

I'm going to test this morning even though I think it's to early to test I think I'm going to be a constant tester to be honest for 2 reasons

1. I'm extremely inpatient n wanted to know the day after we started trying if it had worked haha

2. Because of the ectopic pregnancy I didn't know I was pregnant until I was took into hospital in ridiculous pain I thought I had kidney stones!! I didn't think I was pregnant because I was on the pill and I was getting periods which when I look back now was probably not a period and I did have sore boobs.

I will let you all know once iv done the test :)

Good luck to you and hope you get a BFP soon xxx
