Ok so i went drs in sept after alot self persuading, the lady dr after me pouring my heart out about my irregular cycles painful cramps and 1yr half of ttc.
cycles ranging for 14days to 48 days,i showed her faint pos test.
She says Bluntley........'thats not a strong enough line and 'oh i think your trying to hard'
and 'just relax' your cycles are normal and some people it takes years but ur obviously not doing it properly'

i was gobsmacked!!
All i could say is,is there tests?
she said yeh for people who have tried for a while.
i said when do i come back........?
she said why do you need to.....i just walked out a burst in tears
so u can imagine how put of the drs i was....................
after af this month my hubby said u must get appointment.
i wasnt going to until i saw the nhs n.i.c.e guidelines.i printed them off and studied them.
on fri last week i spontanuously picked up phone the drs without thinking and i got same day appointment.I brought hubby with me.he waited outside i was terrified.
The dr(different one) said how long ttc i say 18months-2yrs.
He said are ur cycles regular,i say no
he says where ur husband,i say outside,
hubby came in,i said is there any tests we can do as this is now affecting our marriage.
he printed off a huge list of tests forms off for me plus semen analysis for husband.
its a walk in clinic so il got there wen think im 7dpo.
So yeh top tips........
1)try not to mention being on birth control.lol
2)be blunt,you want tests
3) tell them about impact its having on u and ur marriage/relationship
4)dont mention opks bbt it pisses off doctors

5)be honest about how many months ttc
6) do ask for info about improving chances of ttc
7)and make sure ur partner goes with you!! or at least waits outside.it shows ur serious and commited about ttc
If in uk refer to n.i.c.e guidelines! which is tests after 1yr ttc for under 35 and 6 months for over 35's
