Uk election

Is there a way we can follow the progress as the votes are added, or do we just have to wait for the result to be announced tomorrow?

It'll be announced through the night after 10, sky news, BBC & ITV I think :)

I'll keep checking through the night. James is a great alarm clock!

I don't dare watch :haha: did last time, it was quite fun!

I voted this morning after dropping the boys off at school. Put my X next to Labour. We had a choice of Labour, Tory & Libdem. Our Tory candidate doesn't live anywhere near our constituency (50+miles away)!! It's a marginal seat so it can go either way.

We had labour, lib dem, conservative and green- my constituency is a conservative seat, old one was labour :(

Exit polls suggesting a conservative win however labour have gain seats and conservative have lost seats. It's still early doors, the exit polls were very wrong back in 2015.

If people are interested in knowing what happens you tend to have to watch over night. I always enjoy watching it tbh.. lol

Praying they don't get a majority but not hopeful. I've slept 2 hours in 36 so really mustn't stay up :(

I'm also reading about possibility of hung parliament ?

Hung parliament would be better than Tory majority, my stomach hurts I'm so nervous.

The exit polls were so wrong in 2015, I hope it's wrong this time in my favour.

I thought they were right in 2015 but not in the referendum.

No exit polls suggested a hung parliament again but by the time the votes were counted it was a Tory majority.

There were no exit polls as such with the referendum but suggestions after the polls closed were remain to win.

Really it's all to play for still, however if they are correct this time then the gamble hasn't paid off the way they thought it would.

Basically it's a long night

I am going to be such a tired grumpy cow at work tomorrow but I just can't go to bed and stop watching this.

I'm still awake and watching.

I've just woken up and started watching. Can't even blame the kids :haha:

I dread going to work. My colleague will gloat if Tories win. I've been bracing myself for it though, she organised a massive party after the Referendum and showed me photos of it after informing me that they voted me out (I'm an EU national). Gonna be another pleasant day...

I have never been so happy to be proven wrong, it may not be a Labour win but this should really reign the cons in considerably

Followed it on and off all night. I am not really sure what a hung parliament is. Apparently Teresa May is refusing to quit though?!

Bev i think she remains PM until a decision is made. She could continue to govern the country as a minority government but they rarely last long. She could form a coalition with a smaller party. She essentially needs 323 seats to do that so could join with one of the smaller parties.

I have my doubts as to whether she will resign that would make her one of the shortest running PMs in history.

There is still a chance corbyn could become PM. It could take a while for a decision to be made.
