But does labour start with diarrhoea and lower back pains. In the last hour i seem to have had this... No real aches in my belly tho, no front leaking or anything... What else do i need to look for? As i'm having twins and having a section i haven't paid much attention to what i need to look for if i go into early labour! Very silly of me really...

Dont really know much about this hun, but didnt want to r&r. Hope your ok and might be worth getting it checked out if your concerned.

When is your C-sec? Cant be long away? x

I think it can do, but not always. There are a lot of bugs going round at this time of year that can give the same symptoms as well (I had a particularly festive bout of this on Christmas Day last year!).

Might be worth giving your midwife a ring if you're worried, fingers crossed it's nothing too serious:hugs:

I think it can start like that Hun so if your concerned i'd get checked out. But there are lots of bugs out there this time of year that could have similar symptoms x

It can do for some, though its not the immediate obvious!!

Keep an eye out overnight and see what happens

It's how it started with my eldest. I would keep an eye on it, and maybe contact your ms if your worried. Like the above have said, it could also be a bug etc. Xxxx

Thanks everyone, this labour malarkey is so confusing, lol. If i start getting pains i think ill give them a call. Right now im feeling fine and have actually spent the day at the hospital being monitored and all was fine earlier in the day.

Jojo-mummy - going to see my doc on the 22nd nov to book in my section date for the first week of dec! Eeek!! The past couple of weeks have FLOWN by!!

Thats exactly how my labour first started with DS. I also threw up a couple of times, think it was my body's way of clearing out before labour really kicked in.

Keep an eye out for the pains getting more frequent.

However, as other people say, it could be a bug you have caught from someone/somewhere.

Good luck hun!

I would definitely keep on eye on things, it can start out like that, watch for pains in your belly that start from your pain and radiate into your abdomen. Could just be a bug also, I am finding all of this so hard to tell apart too lol
I have read your system might try to clean itself out before labor begins and real contractions you will feel in your back and belly where as BH you feel just in your belly

I'm keeping an eye on it, still having a few lower back pains. Thanks so much everyone, helps me to know that i should def keep monitoring it! Will keep you updated on if these babies are trying to make an early escape!! xxxx

Echoing what someone else said, one sign of your body getting ready for labour is that it ejects unnecessary waste (i.e. empties stomach > vomiting, and/or empties bowels > diarrhoea) so although it could be something else entirely, it wouldn't hurt to be psyched up for imminent action....! xxx
