Unexplained infertility support thread

:hi: ladies! We are unexplained too! Been trying for 17months now, all tests are clear, sperm, tubes are fine, all bloods done. Just waiting on my NHS referral to start IUI which seems to be taking forever!!!!! :dohh:
I have decided in my head why we cant get pregnant, and if i am right then hopefully the IUI will work. Anyone else started IUI? and also do they give you medicated straight away?Xx

Hi Hays! We all understand how frustrating it is to have all tests be clear...and it still doesn't work. And then there's all the waiting! Ugh. What is it that you have decided in your head, if you don't mind me asking?

To answer your question, we've started IUI. I'm actually in the TWW for #3. I'm always hopeful for some odd reason. I started taking femara in November just to give everthing a boost, then femara plus IUI in December and January. All BFN. This month, we did bravelle injection on CD 9, trigger on CD 11, IUI on CD 12, and then progesterone from CD 16 on. I think we'll do one more IUI if unsuccessful this month and then on to IVF (which we will pay for privately). Good luck to you!

Hey Chicken!

I have a feeling its my 'environment' that isnt very good, so maybe too acidic and the sperm are getting killed off before they've even been given a chance tyo start their journey. I think i might have some sort of inbalance somewhere along the line, as i get yeast infections on and off. If everything else is fine, then it has to be something like that? or ofcourse it could be the eggs im producing, so i'd only find that out when/if we go for IVF.

Fingers crossed this IUI works for you, have you found it ok tho? obviously apart from the BFN? Did you get to choose the injection option this month? Good luck to you too :)

Hi Hays! I hope IUI does the trick for you!!
Hi to everyone else..
- AF got me once more.. So I´m out for another cycle.. It never gets easy.. I have so many questions and feel so confused, if nothing is wrong then whyyy??? At least it seems like things will be moving along on the NHS here in France, so hopefully I will at least have a 5th opinion on our fertility...
Hugs and kisses to all...

Hi all :flower:

We had our appointment yesterday with the nurse to get the details about IUI.

Today is CD12 for me and I have to call them on day 1 of my next cycle. I have been given a prescription for clomid (and the stuff for an injection just in case it is needed) and also the forms for another blood test.

On day 1 I have to call them up and wait for them to tell me what day to have my bloods done and what day to start the clomid then I'll start going in for scans! Once everything looks like it is happening OH will be called in and we'll get our first go at IUI!

thats great news louttc1!!! are you nhs for iui?

Hi Hays.

Yep we are NHS. We get 3 tries with IUI with one month off between each one. If that doesn't work then one go at IVF.

The hospital have been great. The nurse told me to find out about the IVF waiting list in my area (I have had the tests etc at a different hospital to my local one) so that I can hopefully go on the waiting list while we have IUI to save waiting even longer if IUI doesn't work. Not sure how that works but I'll call them at some point in the next few weeks.

You said above you have been waiting for a while. Hope you get an appointment soon! The waiting between appointments isn't fun but at least something is happening.
