Were a group of 3rd year students studying for a masters degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. As a 3rd year project, were planning on developing an interactive application to help teachers and pupils within the learning/classroom environment. This feature extends to children as young as 3-6 years old too. It can be used as a parenting tool at home. We have planning to present this interactive application in the form of software, mini-laptop or a toy robot etc.
The key features of this application will include real-time interaction with children/pupils. A typical usage scenario might be for the provision of reading support. If a child/pupil stalls or mispronounces a word whilst reading a novel, the application would immediately provide correct pronunciations. The children/pupil could ask for word definitions this will all be audible and in real-time. This is just one of the many features of this interactive application.
