my formula comes in a thickend version for reflex and bringing back up pretty sure the U.S has ones too if you look, i personally don't agree with adding things to the bottle. here we are told not to

If you add rice to the formula, you will be fine. My pediatrician put my LO on Enfamil AR (added rice) at 9 weeks because of acid reflux. He was not concerned with allergies or any other issues that are spread over this forum.

Do what is best for your child. My LO stopped spitting up all the time with her formula change and seems quite happy now!
