Hello,

I don't know if this is a stupid question or not. Does it hurt your baby when you vomit or retch during the later months of pregnancy?

Amy xx

I don't see how it could. It can probably feel your stomach muscles tighten but it would bother or hurt baby. Just think, contractions would be way worse!

No it doesn't harm the baby, only if you aren't managing to keep any food down and there were no nutrients available for the baby, then it would be a problem. But the retching itself doesn't harm the baby at all, it just makes our tummy muscles tight.xx

My little one doesn't even wake up when I'm being sick so I doubt it's doing anything to her

I had the stomach virus 2 weeks ago and vomited about 6 times in one day. It was AWFUL, but she's still doing well. She seems to know when I'm nauseaus and kicks even more then...making me MORE nauseaus. Definietly gonna be a troublemaker.
