We didn't want to do a wedding list but MIL & her sister were moaning so much we just ended up doing one ..... Honestly, what a nightmare! We have had to log in and add things 3 times now as keep getting emails and phone calls saying everything is gone lol

Don't get me wrong, we are VERY VERY grateful for people buying us gifts and honestly totally overwhelmed by peoples generosity but I now feel rather guilty/rude that people have infact brought us anything! I tried to word our invites in such a way to say we didn't need or expect gifts, we just wanted them to be part of our day!

Honestly these gift lists have been the source of much stress having to keep adding things lol

I totally understand where you are coming from me and my husband didn't register at first either but then everyone was giving us grief so we just did for a few things. Just remember that it is YOUR day and you do it how YOU want. Just tell the people that if the things are gone you're not going to just add a bunch of crap. Don't feel like you have to cater to everyone else's needs. You DON'T!! Good Luck and CONGRATS!!! This will be day you will ALWAYS remember!!!

:hugs: hun. Luckily we aren't doing a Wedding List, we are asking guest to just give money if possible (not mandatory) to go towards our honeymoon, we have everything we already need for our house etc so its pointless really! xx

thats what we are doing, if our guests want to give us gifts then we would like vouchers to go towards our honeymoon :)

Were doing the same
we put a little poem in our invites saying we dont want gifts but if they do want to get somethig, help towards our honeymoon is appreciated.
x

Aww hun sorry to hear its stressing you out. Bloody interfering in laws eh lol!!!

We haven't asked for gifts nor money either but have asked close friends and family to join us for a meal after the ceremony and pay a little towards the bill. x
