Welcome to Trying To Conceive #1

:hi:So, I'm new to this whole forum thing but after 13 months ttc unsuccessfully:nope: I thought it was finally time to get some support from like minded woman. So, a little info on me: I'm 29, so is dh, been together 7 yrs, married 4. I've been off BC since Jan 2011, but was previously on BC for over 10 yrs, neither have children. After many months of NTNP I decided to take things seriously. I've been keeping track of menses as my only way of tracking until this month when i purchased a OPK. Last period was July 1st and get a POK:happydance: on the 16th. DH and I had intercourse at least 7 times:sex: during fertile window. Really hoping for a BFP on Monday:test:!!! Wish me luck and baby dust.:dust:

Hello everyone. I'm new here but a little background info...DH and I are both 29. We've been married for 11 months and ttc for about 2 years now. We've tried just about everything and finally after having my cycles be so outta whack i decided to go to the doc and see what was goin on...well i was diagnosed with PCOS. I was put on bc to regulate my cycle and shrink the cyst. Seems to have worked so now we're giving it a go again. This is our first cycle after a 3 month break. Prayers going up daily that this is our month. Baby dust to you all!!

Also a newby at TTC. Been off BC for about 7 months (was on for 6 years) so hoping that it wont effect anything! Just had our first BFN so hopefully this wont take to long! :/ Anyone else using BBT to chart?

Hello,

this is my first time here on this forum. I am 35 and did our second IUI and I am sort of bleeding but very dark brown. Per my Doc I have to do my test tomorrow. I am so depressed and worried because I feel like its my period and we will have to start all over again.

Did this happen to anyone else.

Anything will help
Thanks

I finally don't feel so alone. My husband is an amazing listener, but it's hard for anyone to understand what this is like if they aren't going through it. It's like having a whole new family. Thank so much for making this possible. :dust:

Hey ladies,
First post here and I'm super excited!!! I look forward to gaining knowledge from you guys!!! Me and hubby has been married for 11 months now and have been TTC for a bout 10-11 months. Besides TTC the marriage thus far has been beautiful!!! Well I've been taking regular vitamins and I've heard about Geritol complete, so today I started my first dose of it. I will keep you ladies updated but hopefully this month is a BFP. Tired of the BFN.:nope: With prayers and baby dust I wish us all lots of luck! Pray for me ;)

PS. I've never been to a doctor and never gotten BFP. So this is all new to me. Btw I'm 24 years of age and hubby is 27.

Looking forward to a reply :happydance:

Hi ladies! Dh and I have been ttc #1 for 9 months now and no luck :-( I began, taking vitex last month. This month I'm taking Fertilaid and hoping to see results! Baby dust to all of you!

Hi everyone! My husband & I are are still ttc our first and have been off & on for several years now. We've been seriously ttc for 3 months now and I'm not giving up this time. I'm just ending my period & I've got OPKs in my bathroom cupboard. This my first month using OPKs (took me a long time to convince him to let me get them). I've tried doing the BBT charting in the past but it's very hard for me to get up at the same time every single morning to get an accurate reading. My cycles are anywhere between 27 and 35 days (with the rare super long cycle thrown in there every so often). It's been a very frustrating road. We've been married for 10 years this year and I'm tired of waiting. I don't know about you all but I sure could use lots of prayers and baby dust! Spreading the same around to you all!

Hi!

I never thought I'd be the person to end up on a board like this. Like honeybear1981 before me, we've been trying and I figured it would just sort of take care of itself by now even though i have wildly spaced out cycles. We both come from bigger families that include twins. Bad news at my doc's office this week (she actually said "your follicles are sucky" based on an ultrasound after my second round of clomid) led me here. I left the doctors without asking enough questions because by the time I got home I realized I didn't know what a follicle was. And my sweetie got it confused with a Fallopian tube.

So, I have a lot to figure out. And decisions to make. I have talked lately with a few friends close to me about the disappointments this year, but the 'Just Relax' comments and stories of others they know who tried, though well meaning, just aren't hitting the right spot. I look forward to learning from this great group of women.

Cheers to the weekend.

THere are things they can do to help "sucky" follicles :) Don't get discouraged!! Are you seeing a reproductive specialist? If you're not, I'd say find one! They will know TONS more than a regular ob/gyn (most of the time) and they can help you a lot. There are so, so many things they can do. And yeah, the "Oh - just relax, it will happen when the time is right!" gets old .... and it will make you crazy!! lol

:flower:my first post and first time here at BnB. I was just browsing since i woke up so early around 4 am to constantly go to the bathroom i search upon if uti could be a sign of pregnancy and found this awesome thread that i had to join. Reading on post here getting information since ive been living w/ my partner for two years and still no angel.:baby: Well i wasn't serious at first but the pressure of relatives are getting to me and there's this odd feeling of jealousy when you see babies that you'd also want your own. Hope to learn and also share what i know.:happydance:

Glad I'm not alone. It's 6am here in the Bahamas and I'm up reading your post and comments. I'm praying this is our baby year. I've just started on Geritol seeing that I heard there's a baby in every bottle. I will start charting next month and if nothing happens by December I'm going to a doctor. Baby dust to all...

hi j_lynn,

The one good thing my ob did give me was a phone number for a local reproductive endocrinologist, and said he could get me started on injectibles. So that's a possibility.

I also have a job interview next week that could really make some changes, so my sweetheart suggested we just let it ride for a month. If I can't get pg on my own, then I won't have to worry about insurance coverage for a pre-existing pregnancy. So practical a response! So not what I expected to hear from him! We have to talk this out now, since I have been a wreck. But it's not a bad idea. Just one I don't really like.

So, it could be a few weeks before I use that phone number. I really hope it doesn't take 6 months to get in to see the RE or I will be angry at the wasted time. Ack! Back to job worry!

I was doing a bit of research into lp today and apparently anything between 12 and 16 dpo is fine (mine varies between 12 and 13 and like you I was worrying). I don't take anything for my cm but am considering grapefruit juice, evening primrose oil and royal jelly next cylcle if this one is a bust (currently 9dpo and I just feel that I'm out :growlmad:

Good luck with yours

Good luck to you and let me know if those things work for you. I started them with this new cycle. Grapefruit juice, evening primrose oil and geritol and cinnamon and mucinex...fingers crossed for both of us!
