Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

So here's what happened to my day yesterday.........

When we bought our house we put in a fence- to which the neighbors crowed a fit and we were forced to pay 3,000 dollars for a surveyor to prove our property line. Once we had that established we built the fence- but not from edge to edge of property line, we reserved walking space on either side. Well our neighbors decided that since we didn't build on the line that we forfeited our property to them.

Anyway we said "Of course not" so they decided to build on our property anyway and they erected these stupid 6x4 boards and rebar and stuff right up against our fence to the point it was pushing our fence over. So we asked them nicely to move it and my dh was told by the crazy lady next door to go, um, do something to himself :growlmad: So then she called the cops. Well the Chief told her she was going to have to move her stuff to which she started SCREAMING at the top of her lungs and spinning in circles about it. The Chief stared at her in stunned silence for a moment, then pulled dh aside and asked him (I think out of fear of the crazy lady) to acquiesce and just give her the property.

...........................::saywhat:.....................

To which dh said "No." Then the lady started name calling and nit-picking and the chief finally lost his temper. Bad. He like totally wigged out! If you've ever seen the movie "A Christmas Story" and witnessed how the father wigged out when the Bumpass's dogs ate his Christmas turkey....it was that kind of temper tantrum. LOL! Anywhooo tons of stress yesterday. The Chief finally forced them to move their stuff so we have our property back. Good Lord, huh? Nutty folk...anyway today is promising to be much more relaxing...I hope...... :haha:

But it was so weird last night...I felt normal, a bit tired you know, but I fell asleep putting the girls to bed  and by time I woke up I thought "I better finish my school assignment" and went in and turned on the computer. Soon as I did I got to feeling so tired I was sick and my shoulders and back muscles were screaming! So I said to heck with school (terrible, I know) and took Tylenol and went to bed  I woke up late feeling hung over! Dh says it is from all the stress and tension of yesterday

Hi GreyEyes! wow! good for your dh to stand up for your rights... you paid for the property and that's that.... what a *itch!!

I can see how that would be stressful for you!

AFM we spent the day avoiding the heat (+31 degrees Celsius) and went to see the new Spiderman movie... I liked it!
now we are home again and going to escape to the basement tv room to watch another movie!

Chat later, ladies!

I have changed clothes at least twice today in search of something cool...thinking of just getting naked and standing in the sprinkler  Then my neighbors'd have the cops here fore sure!

Yeah, tday was much better, much more peaceful :) Got dinner all done, now putting the girls to bath then bed

Oh, I did get our room converted yesterday amidst all the craziness. Now I have the Bassinet installed in my room and everything switched around. Huge relief, I am now starting to feel somewhat more ready :)

Well done you for managing to get your room sorted in the middle of the chaos of your neigbours. They are completely bonkers by the sounds of it:wacko:

We could do with a bit of your sun...we are having a wash out summer over here with nothing but rain, rain & yet more rain

I'll take some of your rain! :haha: This heat has been incredible....but at least at night it cools off considerably so we can sleep well.

How are you today?

I have been trying to get pregnant for three months using the CBFM. For three months it has given me the high fertility 2bars from day 9 until my cycle begins at around 26 days. Not only are the sticks expensive but this cannot be accurate!? I was going to call their hotline tomorrow to see what gives!

lol your welcome to some rain..just gotta find a way to redirect the clouds lol.

I`m fine just sick of being in limbo waiting to see if AF will ever arrive. Will test again in a few days if she doesn`t arrive but thinking maybe I have a luteal cyst or something which is causing the delay.

Have you checked for bfp? Your temp is registering almost 98.0

I never used the CBFM because of the expense. What I did use (and had excellent luck with) is the Clear Blue Easy Digitial Ovulation Test Strips. These were handy for me and cheaper and easier to understand-- a blank circle if you are not peaking in lh and a big smiley face when you do peak in LH. :) Maybe give them a shot? I usually used IC (Internet Cheapies) for 20 days or so to track then about the time I started to increase in lh I would switch to the CBE digi's about twice a day - Always caught my surge about mid-day though.

Thanks Alin, doing well- and baby girl is wiggling away in there...:) So irritated though. This old lady at one of our stores frowned hard at my dh and I when we told her we were having a girl (she asked): then she proceeded to tell us how sorry she was for us that it wasn't a boy and that she personally was so sad when she found out she was having another daughter (years ago). She "cried when the baby was born, I was so heartbroken". :saywhat: Crazy old lady! :growlmad: We are ecstatic over our child, how can any parent hate thier own baby for not being a boy?! Nuts-o....

Ok...so I know I have been MIA for the last week or so. My 14 year old nephew was playing outside with some of his friends and my two younger newphews and a freak accident happened.
The pinky and ring finger of his left hand were severed. It was so hard to deal with. My brother and I are extremely close. We talk every day and see each other at least once a week. My sister in law has been in my life since I was 16. She is like a sister to me. AND our children are close as well. When I got the call on last Tuesday night that my nephew was on the way to the ER in an ambulance I freaked out!! My brother is already nervous about him starting high school because he is so small. He is 4'11" and weighs only 60lbs. He is going to a really BIG high school. And now he has to start high school with two fingers missing.

But, he is an awesome kid and is doing great. If I didn't know before, I certainly know now that he does not have any self esteem issues!! He is making jokes about his hand telling everyone to give him high "3" instead of high 5. He was bouncing around on a pogo stick yesterday, and playing video games with my son all weekend. He has a cast on his hand and has not seen what it looks like, but he knows 2 of his fingers are gone. But like I said...he is an AWESOME kid with a great personality and a fantastic outlook on life.

AFM...I am on CD 24. Don't really feel any different and I am not expecting too much this month. I am still working out quite a bit but I just can't help it. That has been a part of my lifestyle for so many years, it is darn near impossible not to workout.

How is everyone else?

Ali...how is Canada? Do you have your appt scheduled yet?

Coy...how are you feeling?

~~Jess

That must have been awful poor kid. Sounds like he is pretty resilient though & taking in his stride. Also sounds like he has lots of support around too:thumbup:

Hello Ladies,

So sorry I have been MIA since Friday. The wedding kept me busy on Saturday and yesterday I was just too lazy to turn on my computer! :haha:
It has finally cooled off here a little and I'm actually wearing pants  (picturing me sitting here naked), no I was wearing clothes, just not pants! :haha:

So it has been a wild couple of days, between the follicles on the right and then the tube being opened so that both are now clear. Then being told I have poly-cystic ovaries. I'm like huh? So much has happened.
This morning I tore down to see the nurse and have another ultrasound and have blood work done to figure out where we are. Well! The follicle on the right that was 16mm has disappeared, but the one on the left that was 10mm on July 4th is now 18mm. It was funny, the US tech said to me on the 4th, that she felt that the follicle on the left was a beauty. So here we are 5 days later and it was the dominant follicle all along! :haha: So I really didn't need to go down and have my tubes looked at and flushed (although I am glad I did) since the dominant follicle was on the left all along. Now they are thinking that the follicle on the right was actually a cyst and has since disappeared. I just got a call back from the nurse, my blood work was:

E2: 741
LH: 26.4
P4: 3.2

So she said it was up to me whether I used the trigger or not, but we have scheduled the IUI for 9am tomorrow morning, YAYAYAY!!!:yipee::wohoo:

As for the poly-cyctic ovaries, she said that as long as I'm ovulating on my own it really doesn't matter whether I have poly-cystic ovaries or not, and form what she can see from the US and the blood, that I'm doing just fine!

Thanks Jess! It has been a crazy week :) They unblocked my right tube, and then it turned out that I'm going to ovulate on the left. Either way, I'm happy I did the tube procedure because now I have 2 open tubes, just in case it doesn't work this month. I am pretty hopeful that it does. FX'd.

So sorry to hear about your nephew, that must have been really scary! However; it does sound like he is a super resilient boy, and will bounce back just fine. :hugs: So glad you are back too!

:dust: to you and FirstTry and Angel and Alin and everyone else that is in the 2WW. I will be starting in just another day or 2.

:wohoo:
