Hi there!

I'm so glad I found this website because I have a lot of questions and I really can't find the answers. I'm 38 and my husband and I have been trying for a baby for many years.

The fertility doc we saw for these problems told me that I would probably never get pregnant because of my age. We were so upset, but I pushed to try some options and he prescribed Serophene. I have a friend who used it and a beautiful baby girl was the result, so I thought that I might try. I have only taken my first dose this month.

The problem I'm having is that the doc gave me a pregnancy test and it came out BFN. That was on day 26 of my cycle, so I'm pretty sure it was accurate. The situation now is that I am three days late for AF. I know that that isn't very late, but it does concern me. Does anyone know if Serophene makes AF really erratic? The fact that I got the neg. blood test makes me think that I can't be pregnant, but should there be something else I should be concerned about with this drug?

Thanks to anyone who can help with this question
Deanie

Hi Deanie...how long is your cycle normally? I am not familiar with that particular drug at all.

Hi dachsundmom,

It's actually one of the Clomid varieties. My cycle is usually 25 days and I'm now on day 33. Perhaps I'm getting far too ahead of myself; I can be a drama queen at times :winkwink

:hugs:

Deanie...I have been on Clomid and my LP didn't change much...right now I am on a Tamoxifen cycle and I have found that this drug lengthens my LP...I wouldn't panic yet at all.

Thanks, dachsundmom. I'm a control freak and the length of my LP kind of surprised me. I have to ease up on the panic, I guess :winkwink:

If you figure out the secret, please share...:haha:

:hi:

I have been lurking on here for about a month now so I figured I would introduce myself. I can be a little "shy" about posting but I have to say that it has been very comforting reading other's stories and realizing that so many of us from all around the world have the same types of feelings when it comes to wishing for that miracle.

I am 37 (almost 38) and I am actually trying for my 4th (DS 13, DS 10, DD 3). I would love just one more so my daughter can have a sibling close in age. I am worried about my age. I still O on my own but have short cycles of about 23 days. I just finished my first round of clomid (which my dr. prescribed right off the bat) and am in my first real month TTC after a few months NTNP. I am worried that I took the clomid too soon but I guess only time will tell.

Looking forward to making some TTC buddies!

I am 45 and TTC with my new husband. I have two children from a previous marriage (girls ages 11 and 13). We conceived without trying back in April of 2009 but unfortunately that ended in MC. We got married 7/2010 and have been trying since October of 2010. We want to stay with natural/alternative solutions so right now we are both taking Maca for about 2 weeks, and chinese herbs. My cycles have always been regular and I o every month. Just waiting for it to happen! Here's wishes for all of us in the same boat!

Hi everybody,
Hope everybody is well, This is my first time on the site, so please forgive if I make any mistake's. I have got questions about Nasal Spray and what way it affects your AF. I am on 4 x a day and have been using it for a month ( from the 2nd of October, I was told by nurse to expect period as normal, which it came 6 day's after first using nasal spray, " 2 days late " ) I would normally of got my Af on the 6th october that month.
I have started spotting again and have period like pains, and am now afraid that I will have another AF!!!!! Is this normal as I thought that the nasal spray was meant to get rid of Periods.
I am due to start Gonal injections' on the 10th of this month and I am due for egg collection on the 24th of this month.
I am scared that this will affect my cycle as I have only one chance on the NHS.
Please would you advice me on this as I'm petrifited,

Hi, I don't have an answer for you, but we do have a thread going about fertility treatments and there is also an Assisted Conception forum; the women in both of those places might be better to assist you.

Fx'd!

Hi! I'm a newbie here. DH and I are 37 and working on #3 (hopefully). Looking for support!

My name is Chantal. I am 40 and my husband is 38. We have been through a miscarriage March 2010. I had a fibroid removed later that year. My husband was diagnosed with male infetility (2% sperm morphology. Had a failed ivf June 2011. ivf messed up my cycle so I started doing weekly acupuncture in July. Last month my husband started doing the acupuncture with me. I am also doing restoring fertility yoga and we are both taking chinese herbs. My husband is taking super antioxidant pycnogenol. Hoping for our miracle. Delayed but not denied. I am on cycle day 4 and having lots of cramping in right ovary.
Happy to meet you all and looking forward to sharing in your journeys.
