Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Hi gals. I just read the posts on this site and you are all so great!

I am gonna be 39 on thursday. My fiance who previously said he wants a family is now saying it would be too hard to have a child and that it would ruin our relationship. This is obviously causing a lot of stress.

Why are they just allowed to change the whole life plan??

It's outrageous PositiveUs. :hugs: My husband finally agreed to try for baby#2 after 5 years of persuasion and we have been TTC for more than a year. Unfortunately, it didn't happen as fast as with our DD 10 years ago. And now he feels "tired". I need him for this and not planning to give up, so using my imagination and cooking skills. Let me tell you, they do come in handy :winkwink: But, jokes aside, I know how frustrating it can be, I am going through it myself. Good luck to you and lots of positive wisdom to your fiancé. :flower:

Hello ladies! I turned 38 in July. My husband is 41, we've been married for almost two years and we're trying for our first. I have two awesome kids from my firts marriage. We have been ttc this one for over a year. This is our 13th cycle. He has some male factor problems (but not too serious, we think we can overcome them) and all my testing has come back fine. I am currently 1 dpo, and I believe we have a really good chance this cycle. The doctor suggested that instead of trying every 48 hours, we go for every 72 hours to really allow his count to replenish. And, as good timing would have it, we bd'd on the night before I O'd. I used OPKs this cycle, and got a blazing positive yesterday morning and then had my temp increase this morning. So, FXFXFX!

I am here because although I also participate on another ttc board, I have found that this one has a much better over 35 forum and I would like to be a part of that. It's good to be here!

Hello ladies. I am TTC at 37. DH and I have 2 DDs together (14,10). We started trying in April of this year.

Hoping for BFP for all of us!

Hello all you wonderful ladies--been creeping for a little bit and decided its time to introduce myself. Me 42, DH 42, DD 12 Been "trying" for a year (DH says no to more but only bc he is scared due to our ages) I can't accept that. I have a special place in my heart waiting for another little miracle to complete our family. We aren't doing anything to prevent (I may be steering things my way during optimum times ;) which is why I know deep down he really wants one too but is too caught up in facts--he follows his thinking instead of his heart. I don't have anyone to talk to that understands so was so glad I found this site--THANKS EVERYONE for being here.

Hi Ladies,
I am 35 and been married for 7 years. TTC since January 2011 after a tubal reversal. I have been stalking this sight for some time and realized how much I should introduce myself. I have 2 children from a previous marriage and my husband has 2 as well. We both realized last year that we are not complete. I do not know what the future holds, but we are trying . p.s im new at the website too..

I am new at this too. Read your post and related instantly to the trying to get healthy and hopefully reverse some of the last 20 yrs of neglect. Any ideas and suggestions would be welcomed. Been with husband 11 yrs, married 9 of those and 7 yrs ago we made HUGE mistake to have my tubes tied. Mainly my decision but he said he should have stopped me, well I hit 39 and besides the fact of going back to school for nursing we have found Dr and have surgery scheduled in 6 weeks now to have tubes reversed. Really happy about this and have changed the way we eat over a yr ago, try to go for natural, protein, fruits and veggies and sugar free. Both of us have lost 40 lbs + each. I don't drink except a glass of wine once in a blue moon but have smoked for 19 years - needing so much help to lay them down because once I go for surgery I want to be smoke free. Anyone else beat this habit??
I have started taking pre natal vitamins because of all the stories and importance I have read on Folic acid.

I’m a new member :)

I’m 35 and trying to conceive #1

Tried to conceive on and off for the last 4/5 months but REALLY trying now. Had a check up with my doctor 2 months ago and all looks good to try naturally, but he said if no luck in a few months he can refer me to a fertility clinic to speed up the process!! I pray it happens naturally!

This is the first month I am using Preseed and a clear blue fertility monitor...

Good Luck ladies xx

Morning ladies, another newbie here, I'm 37 and ttc my first with assisted conception. I have been on that board but also though the over 35's would also be of help.

I look forward to chatting to you all
