Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Ali- how long do you get to hang out in the hospital after the ET? I hope they give you time to rest and relax before you have to leave. Are you driving home or will Michael be available? Or do you want to risk the drive again? :haha: Maybe best to hire a taxi! I agree, I think 2 is a perfect number. Personally I think your chances of going full term with both is excellent  especially since you have that beautiful triple lining! As far as the hcg goes, from everything that I have read twins do eventually produce higher levels of hcg but apparently not necessarily sooner. At any rate you should be able to register a good response on a blood test by 3-4 days and on a frer by day 6 or so? So that means we'd be looking at...Next Tuesday! :wohoo: ! I am excited! So basically might know within a week :headspin: I can't wait! Oh yeah, I think the meds made you sick and shame on you for not eating :growlmad: You should at least have a piece of bread or some crackers- some kind of carb to help settle the acid  Chalk it up to early ms

I'm not sure how long I'll be in their office. Possibly an hour after the transfer. Hopefully I'll be home and resting ASAP. Michael is on his way now, as I'm not allowed to drive myself. They want me to take Valium!
It could very well have been the doxycycline I hate it too!
So 14 DPO is Friday sept 28th. The first hCG will start to be emitted on Friday or Saturday the 21st or 22nd. So I reckon anytime after that I'll be able to try testing!

I have a really great feeling about this, like restore my faith in everything, great feeling!! You have a lot of people thinking of you and sending you support from all over! I can't wait to see that BFP!!!!!!!!! Keep us in the loop as you do nothing but rest! :hugs:

Ali- you should test now to see if any of that trigger is still in your system... that way when you DO see the hcg (and I'm very confident you will ) you'll know it's your "bfp: :) :test:

:happydance:

AFM- well, I worked in the garage for a couple of hours this evening. I am so dirty I smell dirt. LOL! My garage somehow turned into a catch-all  but we are getting it sorted. And this time I broke everything I threw away :smug: I had this particularly thick glass item that just wouldn't break...then I spotted my 8 pound sledge leaning against the wall.....enough said? LOL! Anyways, I skipped cooking dinner as everyone has been snacking and I'm going to hop in the shower and then relax :cloud9: Dh told me again today he is predicting babes will show herself next week sometime. Hmm......would be nice :)

I did test this morning with an IC it was faintly positive. So I'm sure by Sunday it will be gone.

Glad you are making more progress with the garage! It must be huge to have this much stuff in it! When we clean out my garage it takes a day :haha: but then again my Mom refuses to let me throw anything out!
She sounds a lot like your DH.

Next week would be great! Maybe I'll see a :bfp: and you'll have your babes in your arms!

I'm still doing headspins! :headspin:

Nope, our garage is just a small one-car garage...but it is totally full- or was. At least a minimum of 50-60 50gallon totes, 20+ large fruit boxes, excersize equipment, sports gear, tools, yard tools, car parts, tires, car seats, walkers, ladders, bikes, toys, garbage bags FULL of "stuff" to sort, toddler beds, mattresses, frames, paintings, buckets, J.U.N.K. :haha: O my heck, but I am finally to the back wall- it was so full before you couldn't walk through it. Now I think one more day will finish it  Hope I make it. LOL! :haha:

You can do it! Maybe you can enlist the help of the girls? Make a game out of it?

So excited! Just one more sleep until the transfer! YAY! :wohoo:

NNNnnooooo! The girls don't help!:growlmad: They are worse than their daddy! Packing stuff back IN to the garage! LOL!

Yay! I am excited for you eeek! Can't wait!

Ali...I'm thinking about and praying for you this morning!!

I've been a bit MIA for a few days... took a while to catch up on all the posts.

Ali - Praying for you today! I bet you are sooooo excited, and we are excited to see your BFP next week! I am also praying for an uneventful ride home :haha:

Coy - I'm glad you are almost done with your garage. Hopefully you can do a lot of resting next week. You need it! I don't know how you have the energy to do all that you do. But please take some time and rest.

AFM - I have been very busy. Haven't been able to fix our washer, but I did find a wash board at an antique store fairly cheap. It has made laundry much easier. I have also been baking up a storm... homemade donuts, bread, pizza. Instead of baking, I should be exercising but there is something about fall weather that sends me to the kitchen instead. I love this time of year!

Transfer day is finally here! YAY! Now to start drinking my water and taking my Valium.. never had Valium before, should be fun! LOL :haha:

Valium will make you not have a care in the world. :winkwink:

You will have happy, healthy, sticky beans and be the best Mama! Listen to everything they say, rest, relax, and positively visualize holding BOTH babies in your arms and crying tears of joy. Good luck, I'll be saying prayers for you. :hugs:

I love to bake when Thanksgiving comes around. I make 2 dozen pumpkin breads and give them out to friends. So far Fall has been felt mostly at night as it gets cool. Yesterday though we had another tornado warning and the wind was so crazy! I am staying away from baking until I drop 10lbs. I have a whole wardrobe that doesn't fit! I swear I open my closet and my skinny jeans mock me.

On the :baby: front, still no dark line on the opk, maybe I won't ovu this month. Today I am cd11 so we :sex: last night and used preseed. Hubs just laughed at the name. He was cute, he kept asking me about ovulation, so I told him I don't ovu every month and I use opks. He asked if we should :sex: in the morning before work, and I suggested holding off until tonight. he then said "well you let me know when you get that darker line". I just love him when he is cute like that.

Ali- Yay! ET Day is here :happydance: Hope you enjoyed your valium :haha: and are having great success at the doctors office. Can't wait to hear about those sticky beans! Come back soon and update all of us :hugs:

TwoToGo- I have had to do laundry like that- I HATE washboards! :haha: As kids that is what our mother gave us to use....None of it is too bad except for wringing out jeans, that's tough as heck! Does the spinner work on your washer at all? And I hear you on the baking- I used to love to bake bread, cookies, pies...you name it. Then I married a diabetic :laugh1: Can't do all of that anymore, a cake once in a while though...

Ali- LOL at the "fun taking Valium" bit :haha: My luck it would make me nauseas!

Babywhisperer- wow, your dh is so supportive and...available when you need him to be :haha: LOL! That's awesome. How do you know you don't ov every month? I am wondering if your lh surge is very brief and maybe you miss it on opk? Mine were never super long so I tested twice a day just to catch it

Jess- how are you today? Almost there, just a few more weeks

Unfortunately, the spinner does not work on my washer. :nope: And I hate wringing out jeans and towels... other than that it's not too bad.

Babywhisperer - I understand about having a closet full of cothes that don't fit. I really need to lose about 20 pounds, but I have to be careful 'dieting' since I used to be anorexic. My doctor told me I have to be above a certain weight before I can try to lose. I haven't weighed myself in a while, but my clothes tell me that I am above that weight. :growlmad: not real happy about it either.

Ali - Can't wait to hear an update! :hugs:
