I think my OHSS is coming back I can't eat anything without feeling like I just ate a house. Even when my stomach is empty I feel like a balloon. My ankles are ok, but my stomach is decidedly bloated. Even my comfy pants are too small! EEK! No idea what I will wear to work tomorrow. All I know is that I need to keep eating the protein and Gatorade!

Jess.. there are different types of HSG.. some use saline others use dye. I had the saline and it flushed out my tube! It is a little uncomfortable, and if you have the saline, expect to be a little bloated afterwards. It is worth it as they can tell you if your tubes are OK and if your uterus is in good shape. It will also flush the cobwebs out of the tubes, opening them up to make an easier passage for the embryo.

Cobwebs? WTH?! LOL! JK! haha, you are funny Ali Scary what we might find in there when we start digging, right? Re: the OHSS. Is this something the doc said to be worried about or might iterfere with the process of things? From what I have ead it is very common during fertility med treatment. I think you are doing all of the right things though Did you figure out your work schedule?

Well, I am happy today if exhausted! The dd's fevers have been extremely low-grade and T has eaten toast with honey, lemon tea with honey, a glass of watered down iced coke, several bottles of water, and for dinner she has had beef steak, mashed potatoes and a TON (literally) of green beans! Makes me very happy, as she is keeping it all down Oh. Yes. Tmi but she peed today This is all important stuff to moms!

Not real cobwebs! Just cleans the tubes of any goop that might be partially blocking the tubes. I have heard that women have increased their chances by doing the HSG.


Glad the DDs are in the mend! YAY!

I haven't figured out my schedule yet, I'm not even sure I will be going to work tomorrow. I'll get it figured out tomorrow I guess!

AFM - still bloated, but I am seeing my weight come down about 1-2 lbs a day so I am losing the water. I am eating lots of protein and drinking pedialite and gatorade. This seems to be working. I really don't want to have to go to the hospital and so far I think I'm managing well. The worst is the pain in my belly, like everything is being smooshed around. Maybe this is what it feels like when you are pregnant?

I wish I could find out how my embryos are doing! They said that they wouldn't give an update until I got there on Wednesday. That is a LONG time! What if they all die before I get there? I have to think positive thoughts! I will think positive thoughts!!!

I'm stealing this from an IVF thread, so you guys can see it too. It outlines the stages that your embryo goes through from the point of transfer to when you can test using HPT. I think it goes for all women though, as natural fertilization needs to do the same thing!

This one is for a 5-Day Transfer:
-1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enoug h to be immediately detected on HPT

Ali...Wow! you were really bloated if you are dropping 1-2lbs a day! Have you tried iced tea? It doens't have as much caffeine as coffee and a lit less sugar than gatorade. It is an excellent diuretic. I just know all of this will be worth it when you get your BFP and a few months later your beautiful baby...or babies!! Lol!

AFM...I am at the beginning of my TWW and well, let's just say Ididn't do much in terms of knowing when or if I ovulated. And of course I am still hitting it pretty hard in the gym. So, we shall see.
Oh, and I am so tired of working on my master's paper. I can't wait to be done with it!!

Jess- I don't blame you for being tired of working on your paper! Ugh, I mean I enjoy learning but sometimes my schedule makes it tough to keep up...are you working online or campus? Re: this cycle. Sometimes to geta bfp exactly what you need is to "forget" where you're at Nothing like trying to relax to make it happen

AFM- slept weird last night. The girls had no fevers so dh told me not to set my alarm and try to geta good nights sleep but did that happen? lol! Dd woke me up a couple times, no big deal really as it gave me an excuse to sneak in a temp-taking I think they are getting much better now I am off to run errands in about 5 minutes so will catch up more with ya'll later!

I do normally drink a lot of ice tea, but I'm not allowed any caffeine right now. I'm actually not in need of a diuretic, that is what everybody seems to think I need. The issue is that my cells are leaking fluid and the water is not where it is supposed to be. So in effect I'm dehydrated as the cells don't have the water they should. So taking a water pill or drinking caffeine would actually make things worse. The gatorade get the fluid to the cells and prompts the kidneys to work. I know it is all counter intuitive, but it does seem to be working!

I think it sounds like you are doing just fine with this cycle. It is good to get your mind off of it and to focus on something else for a while. Sometimes we focus too much on TTC that we drive ourselves mad! This way you can just enjoy the training and your competition and then re-focus on TTC when you are done! Plus you now have your BF on board to get tested, and that makes things MUCH easier. You can both go in and confront it together, YAY!

Well ladies, I am about as exhausted as could be at this point. Had another trip to the emergency room with Teagen tonight Poor little girl- she hasn't peed literally ALL day and can't hold even water down. She had oatmeal for breakfast but didn't drink her milk....then I noticed she wasn't drinking water and asked her too - she drank it then about 10 minutes later vomited it back up A while later we tried sipping more room temp water and eating 2-3 saltine crackers. Again she vomited that up too. So a while after tried gatorade blended with ice and water which she liked and felt great but ended up vomiting that up too. The RN at emergency said to bring her in so I did. Dh kept Kat home so no unneded contact with ER germs Anyway she was bereft w/o her sister so was upset the entire time and put dh through he@@ At the ER they cheked her temperature and it had gone down, though she's had a temp all day and kept puking up her tylenol, etc. The doctor had to draw blood- poor little girl! Then they gave her a Zofran tablet to dissolve under her tongur to keep from getting nauseas and vomiting. Well, she drank some water and was fine. No infections, blood came back great. The put her on a breathing aparatus to clear her lungs as they were worried about pnumonia but nope, none of that Her chest felt better and she could breath better and no puking so they sent us home. No sooner than we walk in the door and she tell her big story, she drinks more water and ten minutes later puked at least half of it back up if not more So I called the doctor and he said to just giove her Tylenol to get her 101.3 temp down and let her sleep. So that is what we have done. She was exhautsed so I had to carry her to bed- 55 pounds! So far she has kept the tylenol down and her fever is reducing. I sure hope she is better by morning! Doc said to bring her in if not as they'll probably have to do IV drip for fluids

Anyway I am totally exhausted. I got to thinking with all the crazy kid stuff going on the only thing I've eaten today is toast this morning...I should probably eat something before bed but I'm too pooped! I'll stay awake to maker sure she doesn't vomit again, then go to bed

Aww babe so sorry to hear about little T feeling sick. My Grandma has a drink she makes me when I get all pukey...it's boiling water with lemon jiuce and cream of tartar! She makes it, chills it like a lemonade and I sip an ounce an hr and it stops the puke-a-thon. I can get the exact recipe from her if you need. I guess it's officially the start of the school year and sharing germs. I hope no one else gets it.

As for my brother, thank you. It does come with the job I just feel awful that he's in pain.

Afm, been taking my temps but sometimes I get up to pee and don't take it until I wake up an hr later so they are probably off. I am def in a funk the last 2 days. I don't know if it's work anxiety but I am more sensitive to stuff and not my usually happy silly self. Did my 2nd acupuncture session yesterday. My pulse is still weak, and the pin she put in my foot that corresponds with my liver hurt a lot. I guess I still have some cleansing to do.

Still getting caught up from the weekend...will write more later.

Babywhisperer- thanks! I'd love to get the exact recipe, I know cream of tartar is something not commonly held in kitchens anymore but my mom always had some T is doing much better now and managed to keep everything down yesterday

How do you cleanse? I used to do a real simple detox with just lemon and water fasting for a day or so...and OUCH! I think the pin in my foot would be enough to hurt me even if my liver was okay! I have never done acupuncture though!

I promise, I have cleared the deck of anything remotely close to work for Wednesday and Thursday. I even got prepped with a bunch of new movies to watch those days from bed. I bought a whole bunch of HPTs today. I had some items to return at Walmart but didn't have the receipt. So I figured that it was all pretty pointless. Alas, they gave me store credit! So I used the money to buy more FRER's! I now have enough tests to start testing on 9dpo! YAY!

Coy.. hope all is ok with you! Normally you are the one that is wondering where everyone is!

I didn't hear from my FS today which is good news.. means my embryos lived another day!

Ali...are you really off to bed Me too. After I get dd's to bed, somehow they ended up an hour past their bedtime tonnight so I slammed a quick shower whuich, after our day in the garage was purty durn nice LOL! Dh helped me alot today, he moved all of the heavy stuff. What we are doing is just thoroughly sorting and tossing. Only problem is once we get the truck loaded for the dump dh always brings stuff back Things I took for granted were junk I should have broken, lol! Today I made sure I broke everything that went in the garbage can!

I did get my team final assignment donw which isn't due until next Sunday so Here is my plan. Get my individual assignment done and be done with this course except for a few comments I am required to make. Then, during this week I can finish the garage, finish the closet, and fine-tune the house for baby. Then I get a full week off in which I hope I can relax enough babes will be born Nice plan, huh?! LOL! Never works out though, but I'm gonna try

Can I say I'm totally excited about 2 days of bed rest!!! I'm glad I wasn't on bed rest today or I would have screamed! I got 3 emails this morning.. saying hey.. I know you are off, but can you help me with this issue? Like really? I was flabbergasted! I helped them today because I was actually working today. If I get calls on Wednesday or Thursday or emails, I'm just going to IGNORE! My baby making is more important!!!

I got some 'free' money today.. like $300 worth! I called my cell carrier and they rebilled the months I was in Canada and I got $200 back, YAY! Then I returned stuff to Walmart and Petsmart, things I'd lost the receipt for, so it was awesome that I got store credit! Got HPTs and doggie food and a few other things with the rest! I like days like that!!!

Your co-workers may all begin to wither and fade without you for a day or two but you'll be back in time to revive them So don't sweat it- relax and enjoy perking little eggs for a couple days!

I am finally off to, well, not bed- got my eye on some ice cream... My little Kat zonked so hard and fast she didn't make it through her prayers "our Fadder who is in Heaven, hollow is your name, Your kindom come, I will be dumb..." then she started to snore She cute and funny too , lol! Then T got me involved in God conversation, you nknow "who made God" kind of stuff and "does God have a wife" et cetera. Those really big twisty paradoxal kinda questions! Ah, anyway now I am totally tired, gonna relax a minute and hit the hay!~

Your daughters are so adorable! I can only hope and pray that I will be lucky enough to have moments like that in my future!
I hope you get more rest than I'm currently getting. I keep getting woken up either by the dogs or by my heartburn. Stupid doxycycline really messes with my tummy! Doesn't help that I'm stressing about my embabies, I am so worried I'm going to get a call today letting me know that they died. I keep having positive thoughts, but that is my biggest fear.. eek!
