Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Ali- my intuition is telling me that your drivers license is in Canada  Maybe? Did you need it to get through Customs and did they give it back to you?:growlmad: I am thinking you would need it at the Airport so maybe check your bags if you haven't unpacked them yet....

Yeah the Tapioca is inetersting, I have read that also. I read there is aplace where the native people eat tapioca in it's pure frm and almost every woman has multiple births every pregnancy. Odd....Anyway I ate tons of tapioca while in the ttc stage with this baby

When will she come out.....that's a damned good question :growlmad: lol! I have been trying everything! I was hoping relaxing would help but I have to get up at least 5-6 times a night for one reason or other. Dh has been super good lately even gave me a back rub or two :cloud9: I have handed over my keys, drivers license, phone, etc, as I plan on dh handling everything at the hospital. I did a re-admittance papers a few weeks ago to cut down on paper time when babes is born. I am just getting awfully impatient and these weird cramps and BH are driving me crazy! I am wondering just how different a third labor can be.......

You definately need to egt better! Sounds liek you got run down and this cold wants to hang in there :growlmad: Try not to worry too much about your kitchen a man has a way of tipping it on it's ear! I fight to keep mine organized daily

Question for Ali: how long has it taken for your trigger shots to test out? And did you trigger with Ovidrel?

Hey!

It usually takes me about 7-8 days for it to be gone. I'm pretty sure it was Ovidrel, I think it makes a difference what the dosage was. I did 10,000 IU of hCG. Some Dr's use 5,000 IU, which I am thinking would be out of the system faster.

Thanks. I did a super sensitive (10 miu) test at 6dpiui (7.5 days past trigger) and got a barely perceptible line. I mean barely; DH couldn't see it. I'm assuming it was the trigger. I'll start testing again soon :)

FirstTry- awesome, you're 7dpo and temps are nice and high! How do you feel??

Thanks, Coy! Temps have been a bit wacky  since the IUI, but I hope the rise means something. I'm not feeling great. Pain on the right side (where i had my 26.5mm follicle) since last night. I'm gonna call the doc tomorrow.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to your new addition. Shouldn't she be here already! :)

FirstTry- that's right I forgot about all the hormones and trigger and how it messes with your temp :dohh: Is FF countind your dpo as days past IUI??

FirstTry- that's right I forgot about all the hormones and trigger and how it messes with your temp :dohh: Is FF countind your dpo as days past IUI??

Yes, it is. But I think it's the same this time. I temped the morning after IUI, before I started taking the progesterone, and I got the rise. So, I do think I o'd on the day of the IUI!

Sweet! I am glad you temped before the progesterone....now we just wait and see  What day did they recommend you to hpt?

My blood test is Oct 22. They don't say anything about hpt. I'm starting tomorrow!

Oh, Coy.. I would never abandon you! Or my other BNB buddies. You are all so special to me. I just literally haven't had a moment to breathe. Between work and being miserably sick. I even lost my voice today. I barely got out of bed yesterday, and am not getting much done today either. Dragging my ass around the house as I try to get 2 weeks worth of clothes washed, and put my kitchen back together.

Phil! Thanks for the tip of tapioca. I will have to think about that. I had hoped I would run out and get the bee pollen (royal jelly) today, but I'm not going anywhere. I may just give up and get some online! Might be a better way to get it.

BabyWhisperer! Tell your DH about the ex gf, but keep the emotion out of it. Just lay out the facts, and then go ahead with your original plan. She will hang herself in front of DH, and then it will be done! Also, I am fairly sure I used to use the same protein powder from Metagenics. It is supposed to be good for women with insulin resistance and also hormone imbalances (at least the one I was using). I may start making shakes again. I am in love with the magic bullet, and the yoplait smoothie packages. The yoplait stuff comes with frozen yogurt and fruit in a bag. You add that, milk and I've added the protein powder to it, and presto in about 30 seconds you have a go cup full of smoothie good ness! My diet is actually pretty good, the issue is that the week before I left for Canada I didn't eat all that well, and then while I was in Canada I wasn't taking my pre-natal vitamin (oops). So that combined with being run down and WHAM! I got sick.

Coy - I just can't believe that you haven't had babes yet! I too check in every day hoping that today is the day. What the heck is she doing up there? You sure she hasn't got some crazy glue and is stuck in there permanently? :haha:

So I lost my drivers license. Did I tell you guys that? I had to take it out the other day to get into the gated community where a friend lives. Well it isn't in my car, and it isn't in my wallet, and I literally have no clue where it is! The biggest issue is that I can't get the good drugs without it. GROAN. I wonder if I can go into a drug store and give them my CDN drivers license? I would really like to get the good stuff so I could get a good nights sleep. I am pretty achy and my nose is dripping and I'm just well, feeling crappy.

My doggies are pretty awesome though, Zach is very sweet and cuddly and Zoe has been more cuddly since I've been back too. I just keep thinking, another few days and I'll feel better, and will be able to get on with the things I had planned to tackle this weekend. WHEW!

So sorry you're feeling crummy. Losing your voice is annoying, I know when I lose mine I sound like a drag queen...it's not cute. Load up on the fluids, healthy veggies and fruit and rest up.

Jess, I admire your focus. When I try and concentrate and study or write I become like a boy on prom night....I get randy as can be...my fav way to procrastinate

Coy, you are Super Mom. I am envisioning you fully preggers hanging Halloween decorations and I don't know how you do it. Is there anything you can do to lessen the discomfort...other than just popping her out? My Mom was 2 weeks late with my brother and he ended up being 9lbs 11 oz...and no c-section..ouch! That was her first though, I'm sure you'll go very very soon.

Phil, Ali & Coy thank you for the support w/ this ex gf thing. I don't like talking about it w/ my friends as it will taint their view of dh. He can be naive, and doesn't think anyone has hidden agendas or ulterior motives, bc he is just not like that. He is pure in heart and intent. I just hope she shows her true colors in front of him one day. Other than this annual event that she and I go to, I have had no cause to see her so no run ins anytime soon.

Afm on the ttc front, I am cd7, we bd yesterday afternoon and then around 1am...dh woke me up from a deep  No ovu yet, I will start using opks on cd9, but plan to bd every other day instead of just when I get the smileys. I hope I ove this month. If I don't feel the cramps I normally do when I ovu, I might ask my obgyn about Clomid. I was told Clomid results in a higher probability of having a girl, so dh would be happy.

Thanks again for letting me vent about this twit...you have given me great advice. I will tell dh when he brings up the fact that he wants us to meet soon...and just say that I wasn't going to say anything but I have serious doubts that she really wants to meet me when she could have introduced herself that night...and that her behavior was that of someone who is either not over him, or jealous of me...very catty, immature, and not genuinely interested in getting to know me. She may say she wants to meet me, but I think it's more dh trying to force me to meet her, to see what he's been saying about her and to see that my fears are unfounded. In the meantime I am letting it go so as to not keep this triangle going. I want to focus on us and hopefully getting our bfp.

Good evening guys! Well, this no :coffee: thing is kicking my butt! I seriously could go to bed at 7:00 no problem:sleep: ~ I am having a little more cm leakage today...watery. I did not get to buy any opk's b/c I had such a busy weekend. I find in the past that they always look positive?? Anyone else notice this?? Is there a better brand to buy?? Also I little crampy today...always thought that meant I was ovulating...no???

Looking into tapioca now...would LOVE to have twins...they do not run in the family though:)

Phil- the book club sounds like loads of fun! I am glad you had some girl-time :) The trip sounded fun and like you got some much needed laughs out of it :hugs: Great idea to travel with a doctor, a nurse, and an obstetrics bag  lol, I remember researching tapioca as well! From what I read it helps eggs mature and aids in proper ovulation; most women who eat it regularly have multiple pregnancies, e.g., twins, etc.

Babywhisperer- Re: the Status thing Phil mentioned. I'd say the ex-gf turning the 90 degrees from you indicates you already have a status! You should post some pics of your own on FB, lol, you and dh cuddling, you and dh laughing...etc. You know though you don't have to. He's your man, he's in your bed, he's going to be the father of your children- she can take a flying leap, I understand it is more his perspective that you are concerned about :hugs: Your tough, I know you and dh will find a way through this. Maybe it will just take him getting upset at you but realizing being friends with her is damaging to you?

Jess- how are you today? I'm gonna go check out your chart.....:coffee:....

Ali- where are you? :sad2: I miss you bnb buddy.....:sadangel:............

TwoToGo- I see your "thank you's" so know you must have been on...how are you feeling?

Babydust- how are you today? I am glad you figured out how to post your chart!

Terry- I'm going to go take a look at your temps for today- got my fx'd for ya!

Angel- you are MIA lady! How are you?

Right now.... migraine. :( I will probably get on tomorrow morning and chat, but right now I just want to bury my head somewhere.

Babywhisperer- what if you did go to see her with your dh? Then just fawned all over him and stuck your tongue in his ear and stuff  lol! Ahhhh...women, eh? :haha: Anyway, I agree- concentrate on your family and your upcoming bfp!

Babydust- yep, the Clear Blue Easy Digital opk with the "smiley face" is the absolute greatest! It gives you a blank face when negative and a happy face when positive! Oh, re: watery cm..it usually precedes ewcm so get ready for bd'ing :haha: And on the coffee..I hear ya! :nope: It's hard but you are in the home stretch now! Btw, OMG I hope babes doesn't weigh 9 pounds  lol!

TwoToGo- sorry to hear about the migraine :hugs: Go ahead and bury your head in a pillow and try to sleep it away!

AFM- stupid team assignment in class tonight, I did my part but another teammate is responsible to put it all together and post to our instructor and she is screwing it all up! Aaargh! And after I fixed it she snottily rejected it and said "my way is the right way- if I want your advice I'll ask for it" :saywhat: Anyway, wait for the team review I have to write bee-otch! :growlmad: lol!

I am going to go eat lasagna now, relax, and contemplate a warm bath........then

Omg That would be hilarious! I wish I could be manipulative like that, but I can't. He did put a pic up on FB when we first started dating of he and I leaning in to kiss...and we are both smiling, it's very sweet. I think that was the pic that made her defriend him on FB b/c she didn't want to see it. I wish she was with the last guy she dated...I'd feel more comfortable, but he cheated on her so they broke up.

I am starting the EPO and Mucinex tomorrow as it will be cd8 and I've gotten smileys as early as cd11. Is that enough time? I pray I ovu this month.

The beeotch on your team sounds like a typical girl. Why do some women go straight to the "you're challenging me and I'm right" place? This is why I work on Wall St...it's mostly men. Women are passive aggressive, catty, devious, and go on power trips. If a woman is promoted I am pumped for her, I don't get jealous. Would I like the promotion, sure, but I don't begrudge someone's success or happiness. I get happy for friends who get their bfp's even if I wish it was me...I am still able to be 100% thrilled for them and excited. It comes with being happy with myself and my life. Now, if I could lose 15lbs by Christmas I'd be doing backflips!!

Anyone know any tips for keeping the :spermy: in?? I've tried a few things but usually just resort to toilet paper waded up...:haha:

Have you tried Instead cups? They are little cups that you slip in after bd'ing to keep the spermies inside. I think they are intended to be an alternative to tampons, but women TTC use the for spermies instead.

Not sure where you are, but a good way to keep them up, nice and cozy by your cervix is to use a product called Instead Feminine Cups. They are supposed to be used during your period and are easy to insert. They are a soft cup with a pink ring which sits nice and snug inside and is designed to keep menstrual flow from leaking out.

ah! First beat me to the punch!
I always used them during my periods and I found them at Safeway Grocery store here in Canada. Let me see if I can find a link.... depending on where you are there might be an equivalent product....

They go by a new name now.... Softcups.... here is the link to the site:

what a jerk!

can I just say, lasagna sounds great for dinner!! I am making pork chops smothered in mushroom soup, with onions and red peppers.... over mashed potatoes..... should be yummy! 15 mins to go until suppers ready!

Babywhisperer- I am with you on the women passive aggressive issue  I saw that more than ever when I was an employer  What a nightmare lol! And yes, that should be plenty of time for the mucinex- it works within 12 hours for everything else so I am sure it muct for cm as well

Babydust- re: keeping :spermy: in place. I just lay on my back with hips propped up after  and my knees drawn up for 15-20 minutes. That aids the sperm with gravity to make it on their journey  I have heard of the Instead cups First Try mentioned too but never used them...

Phil- yep the lasagna was good  And I love pork chops smothered in mushroom soup :cloud9: Maybe I'll make that tomorrow as I have the stuff.......:hugs:
