Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Babywhisperer, glad DH is home safe! We were tempted to take a ride and see what's going on out there but it's probably best to stay home:) The video of Point Pleasant is crazy. The waves are insane.

Ali, hope Zoe came out of surgery well! So sad when our puppies are sad:(

Thanks, still waiting to hear. Shouldn't be much longer now. Then I'll probably be able to go pick her up around 4ish.

Yes, please stay in! This storm looks mega scary. Just watch it on TV! I'm sure that there are plenty of people out posting pictures for you. Well as long as you have power. Then you'll have to listen on the radio, I hope you have a radio with batteries (I have a special storm one). Just stay safe!

Our street is ok, others are flooded. Dh is home now thankfully. I expected the BFN, nothing goes easy for me, ever.

Good luck to Zoe!

Glad DH is home, and safe, and that your street is not yet flooded. Keep us posted! Sorry about the :bfn: if you have any questions about the tests, or what they mean when you go get them, just holler.
I should hear in the hour about Zoe, can't wait to hear she is doing well!

Thanks doll. What tests should I get on cd3 or 7? My poor parents are flooded into their complex. All streets leading to them are under water. Luckily there is a steep hill to get into their complex so they will be dry, but they are stuck. Their town is right next to mine and right on the water...here's some pics

WOW.. crazy pictures!

Zoe is waking up now, and I can go pick her up around 5. She'll be on pain meds and antibiotics for a while. Poor little thing. They are sending the mass to pathology since it was solid. EEK! Now I have to wait 5 days for the results.

BabyWhisperer, here is a site that lists the different hormone tests, when they should be done, and what the outcome should be:

https://www.fertilityplus.com/faq/hormonelevels.html

EEK.. I think Sandy must have taken out power to BabyDust and BabyWhisperer.. The pictures I'm seeing are of mass flooding and major high winds. My parents are in Southern Ontario and they are being asked to put their cars in the garage and be inside after 8pm if possible as the storm is likely to cause damage in their area (which is several hundred miles away from NJ and NY)! Craziness.

Wow! Those are some pictures. I showed them to my son because he's all into weather. He really enjoyed seeing them.

AFM - Went to the doctor and now have a mamogram scheduled for Wednesday. She was going to test my prolactin until she found out I was 7 dpo and we were ttc. She doesn't want to test hormone levels right now as they could be skewed if I am pregnant.
I called the place where I have had 3 interviews to let them know my phone broke on Thursday and to give them a new number. I had asked if they had tried to call over the last few days, and she said no. I figured if they were going to hire me they would know by now as it will be almost two weeks since my last interview. She said nothing about hiring me, so I am thinking it's a no-go. The only problem is that when I had my second interview they told me they had another temp to permanent job for me if I wasn't hired for this one. It's been about a month, so I have a feeling that this other job is no longer available. I think I will call them on the 1st of November to try to get a definite answer about the job. Do you think that is appropriate?

Hi ladies:hi: Just a quick note- Ihave to catch up on posts! :haha:

I am rummy today- I didn't get to sleep until about 5 this morning! :growlmad: lol! All my kids at once...anywhoo, to be expected

So I call the hospital today and ask where they put our birth certificate...dh insisted that they gave it to me and I put it away somewhere  which I was positive did not happen, but why argue with a determined man? lol, anyway I call hospital and the bee-otch at the front counter (yeah, the one who messed up with our paperwork to begin with) tells me all snotty "well you won't get your baby's birth certificate until you come in here and let them do her bloodwork!"

 We've done it twice already! Anyway, as I am very tired at this point my temper soars and I yell at her "Look woman, you cannot hold my birth certificate as ransome for bloodwork! You will get me someone else to talk to RIGHT NOW!" :haha:  So, she got all flustered and got me someone else...turns out the lab actually did have my papers so I marched in a nd took them....they can stuff it at this point, crazy people....:haha:

Sounds like a good plan. Unfortunately companies often don't call you to tell you that you didn't get the job. It isn't nice, and I don't condone it, but a lot of companies just assume you get it if they don't contact you. I think it is totally appropriate to call them if you haven't heard from them in 2 weeks, at least then you'll know for sure.

AFM - Brought Zoe home and Zach seems to want to jump all over her! He's sniffing her and licking her like she smells funny. Which I'm sure she does, since she has been at the vet all day. Anyway, they say she is doing really well, and even though they sent the lump for testing to see if it is cancerous, I doubt it is. I think we would have had other symptoms of cancer by now, like weight loss, and her blood work they did 6 weeks ago would have been off. So I'm hoping it isn't cancerous and we'll find out on Friday or Monday whether it is or not.

ali hope zoe makes a quick recovery

She's been running around like crazy and eating so that is all good! Now if I can get some sleep.. I'm exhausted! Probably more tired than she is from all the worrying! LOL!

Ali- yay for having Zoe back home! Zach will take good care of her :hugs: It's funny how puppies act like syblings :) I am sure the growth is benign and nothing to worry about- when I had a kennel of 60+ animals in Alaska we would get stuff like that often and vet would say it can be environmental but never seemed to be an issue. How are you feeling?-besides worrying? :hugs:

Terri- how are ya?

Alin- :hugs: how are you today?

Babywhisperer and Babydust- I honestly don't expect to hear much from you for a day or so I worry as this storm blows through your area...hope you both have what you need to stay safe! Keep in touch when you can!

Angel :hi: I know you stalk so wanted to say hello! :hugs:

JandK- :hi: Fx'd!

Jess- where are you? :sadangel: We miss you.....

AFM- ah, end to the day- on the outdoors anyway! Seemed busy but not sure what all I did? lol! Been watching the news on the storm all day worrying about everyone 8-[ . Aeryn has spent a great deal of the day eating, sleeping, and pooping :haha: I told the girls she is a "Poopeneater" lol! They got a kick out of that...

I hope you ladies don't mind me hanging out on this thread now. I know it is a ttc thread but I've been here so long it's like my online home and family! :hugs: I am cheering for your :bfp:'s!!!

I'm doing OK, my allergies are acting up and I think I have a serious case of PMS. My period would be due right now, but because I'm on the stupid BCPs I won't have it for 2 more weeks. I hope I don't have PMS for 2 weeks! People are going to die (or they will want to kill me) :dohh: I'm on hold with DirecTV right now because they aren't showing any of my local channels. Why? I do not know. I've been on hold for about 25 minutes and still nothing. UMM. HELLO? Is there anybody there? I wonder if this is due to the storm? It shouldn't, but maybe? I am watching a temporary channel that DirecTV added called the Hurricane Information Channel, I get that! It is showing local channels for NYC about the flooding etc.

Sounds like your little Aeryn is doing exactly what she should be doing!! YAY! I hope you don't leave us, it is nice to have your input on all of the TTC issues we have! So please stay!!!

Ali how is zoe today.

Zoe is doing well, I think she is feeling better since I gave her some pain medication (like doggie paracetemol/tylenol). Last night she was really unhappy, I think her stomach was upset, but this morning she ate a full breakfast and is moving around and playing a little.

Sorry about your bfn, that is never any fun :( Have you thought more about seeking assistance?

Have thought about going to drs to see if they will refer me to a fs if not found somewhere close to me that will do fertility work up inc scans, blood tests etc for £240 or £336 for both me and hubby

Yes, I remember you mentioning that. Have you made any decisions?

Alin- nuts on the bfn- what test did you use? 12 dpo is early yet depending and no dips under your cover yet so- still fx'd!! :hugs:

Ali- glad Zoe is feeling better- well enough to play she'll be back to her normal self soon I am sure! :) Have you heard anything from your over-seas meds company??

AFM- I am looking at charts but ams o rummy atm I can't really see straight :haha: I think I would sleep better if I just quit waking myself up  I ake up, check the baby, get up and go check the dd's in their room...they are usually falling out of bed  so I end up putting them back and covering them, then I go to bed. I do this every 2 hours :haha: Think I am going ? LOL!

Hm...Physically feeling good, my tummy is shrinking  I look about 5 months preo and everyone on town looks at my belly and says "still waiting for baby?" :saywhat: 'Scuse me?! I am not that big anymore folks! :growlmad: Do I look fat to you? LOL! :haha: No offense taken, I get them back by acting offended then they get embarassed :smug: lol.....I have no appetite lately though, I think my body is trying to gear back to what it was  Problem is I'll go all day w/o eating anything then feel like passing out :haha: Nuts!

I'm glad you are staying on here, it wouldn't be the same without you.
