Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Coy...
OMG! What would you do if you got pregnant again so soon?!?! Wow!

Freak out! :haha: Don't think I am though  lol!

Jesus woman you must be fertile Myrtle! Did you take the 6 week break from bding as doctors usually suggest?

Twotogo, plead with the billing dept that the collection agency is harassing you to the point of causing you so much stress and you are trying to get pregnant. I Agree with Ali, set up a payment plan with them directly. Sometimes though once it's in collection it's too late as a collection agency has bought your debt for cents on the dollar so they are motivated to collect all and then some of what they paid for it. As far as litigation, isn't there a 90 day grace period before they do that? Maybe it's just crazy scare tactics. Google about it b/c I believe 60 Minutes or 20/20 did a story on this.

How are the hives Ali? Jess did you test yet??? I'm on the edge of my seat.

Afm, it looks like I ovu on cd12 the second smiley day so we bd the day before ovu and the day of. I have an appt for the RE on the 29th which might be cd1 or 2. Do they do internal exams? What can I expect from my first appt? Here is the link of the place my friend went and had success with IVF after 3 failed attempt elsewhere https://www.northshorelijivf.com/

I'm not very encouraged about how much bding we got in this month or the timing. The day before and day of seems like not enough or not early enough. I am feeling less pressured though knowing that I have the appt on the 29th which also happens to be my test day as per FF. Is cd2 too early for AHM and FSH tests? I figure if I am at their office they can run tests.

Ok off to have some decaf, have a lovely morning ladies. DH and I have a very important day today...will fill you in later!

TwoToGo - yep.. you basically have to beg the Billing Dept at the Hospital. They are usually helpful and responsive. Explain your situation, and just hope you are talking with someone that has some compassion! I am sure you will be able to get the help that is needed. Collection agencies are horrible. I had one call my house at 8am one Saturday morning and the guy asked me to walk down the street and knock on my neighbors door! I'm like WHAAA :grr: I turned into cussy sailor wife and told him what I thought of his plan and said if they EVER called me again there would be a law suit for harassment. Well they have not bothered me again, but these are they types of tactics they use. At least with the hospital you can hopefully make some headway. Plus if you have been making payments, I don't think they can pull you into court. that isn't my legal opinion, just my common sense opinion.

BabyWhisperer - YAY! for the appt. That is awesome :) I bet you are feeling much more relaxed and happy that you have made that first step. On my first appt they did an ultrasound, and I remember the Dr saying, look at that nice corpus luteum! My appointment was around day 21 I believe. So they didn't draw blood then, they just gave me a Rx script with the list of things they wanted to test, and told me to take it to the Lab that my insurance covers on day 2-4 of my next period. So that is what I did. If you go in on day 2-4 of your period as you think it will be, then that is perfect timing! They will likely do an ultrasound and run the blood work at that time. AMH can be done any day of your cycle, the other hormones can as well, but they have set limits that they are looking for on day 2-4 (day 3) that they use to judge your fertility. Between that and the ultrasound they will have a good idea of what is going on down there. The may also schedule a tube test, either with saline bubbles, saline solution or oil, if you can, opt for the saline solution or the oil, as they have the best cleaning ability and can improve your tubes cleanliness. They may ask your DH for a SA if you come back looking squeaky clean. If you want, you can ask him for a clomid Rx, that is usually their first choice, and with you being there at day 2-4 they could get you on it for your next cycle, as you usually start it somewhere between day 2-4 and take it for 5 days. Then you could either do timed intercourse (TI) or inter-uterine insemination (IUI). IUI is where they take your DH's sperm, spin them around and get them out of the semen, and place them directly into your uterus. This gives them a head start and helps for women suspected of having an inhospitable cervix.

Best of luck, but I still think we should be :happydance: with this month!!!

AFM - well its been a bit of a rollercoaster, this week really did me in. I can't keep going like this or I'm just going to melt into a puddle!

Hives seem to come and go, but now that I'm taking benadryl at night it isn't so bad during the day.

TV Reality show - just not worth my time or energy, plus I'm not one of those people that want their dirty laundry on TV for the world to see. So thanks but no thanks.

Parents - well my Mom is about to take my Stepfather into the emergency room, he's 76 yrs old and for the past 3-4 nights he's had a fever of 102 and night sweats to the point that my Mom has to clean the sheets daily. He has been tired and doing things he normally does makes him feel like he can't breathe. He's just been feeling crummy. I looked it up online and Dr Ali thinks it could be 2 things, endocarditis (infection of the heart valves) or some type of anemia. Both fit with his symptoms, especially since he had a cracked tooth and had to have that fixed last week. When you have work done on your teeth they often put you on antibiotics for this exact reason. The infection is easily transmitted to the blood stream in your mouth and can cause endocarditis. Neither endocarditis or anemia are things to ignore, so I told him to get his arse down to the hospital ASAP. His daughter is a MD so he called her this morning and is waiting on her assessment. Hopefully she agrees and they head to the medical center. My feeling is that at that age you just don't mess around, even things like the FLU can be fatal. UGH.. Parents, what do you do?

Ali: I'm so sorry to hear about your stepfather. I hope he is okay. I know when you have a mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation, they put you on antibiotics whenever you go to the dentist, because people with MVPs are more susceptible to endocarditis. But MVPs are more common in women. Anyway, I hope it's just the flu and he's better in no time.

TwoToGo: If you guys make <$25k/year, aren't there programs for you to get coverage, like Medicaid? I'm so sorry that you are going through this stress. I agree with Ali that you should go directly to the hospital, but you might also want to find out if your state has any programs to help. You are in Nebraska, right?

AFM, we have a confusing situation this morning. I :test:ed and there is a faint pink line on the 20miu IC. But Clearblue Digital say "NOT PREGNANT"! WTH?

I should note that I tested with the IC and then went back to sleep. I saw the line a few hours later. I'm 5 days past 5 day transfer, so basically 10DPO.

Each test uses a different cutoff point for its test. If the IC has a faint line and it positive at 20miu then your levels may be just under that, say 15miu, so that is why you are seeing a faint line. The digital may need 50 miu to show pregnant. That is why you are seeing those results. Wait another day and repeat the testing with morning urine. Good luck!

TwoToGo- I still think you are not responsible for the billing...just my opinion but maybe you should get a consultation on that? I think the church insurance should cover it ... How do you feel (re:the mammogram and check-up)? I agree with FirstTry- medicaid should help cover this, in fact if you aopply they will cover retro 2-4 months also, e.g., your dh, mammo, etc...

Babywhisperer-lol @ "fertile Myrtle"! no, I'm not sure where the idea came from...yes we bd'd a couple times (we have never waited the full 6 weeks .....) once the bleeding waned...I think because my usual AF would be approaching soon so hormones are crazy, plus residual hormones, plus I felt all moody and bloated. TBH it'd be waaaay too soon for me! I want to be bada$$ for awhile again, maybe get some skiing in, and some weight training, box some more :cloud9: Dh can teach me some tiger-style fighting....How are you feeling? How's the neighborhood? : I bet it seems like it is taking forever to regain some normalcy in that regard :hugs: Oooooh, important day ?! Fill us in later? Yay! Oh re:bd timing...only takes once  I have my fx'd for you!!! You are oficially in the 2WW ;)

Ali- I don't see any dirty laundry  :laundry: lol! I don't blame you though, what a bunch of nonsense that would be to deal with! Did your doc suggest why you may be getting hives?? Obviously you are reacting negatively to something, that worries me a bit  Oh I hope your mom gets your Stepdad in asap! :hugs:

FirstTry
- sometimes the cbe digi's are very demanding of absolute perfect circumstances iykwim. I don't know about the pink line- you are 10dpo (or is it dpt?)? Trigger is all gone, right? You could def have a bfp! fx'd!

Jess
- where are you?

Terri-Tracey!!!--:sad2: where are you?

Angel, Babydust, Alin, Georgiabelle- :hi: :bunny:

AFM- this is what I am doing today :juggle: And this is how I feel :bike: lol!

So I made the mistake of opening my mail today. Bad idea. There was a letter from my HOA about excessive barking. AHHHHHH. I'm so angry and sad at the same time. I don't know what to do. We've lived her 6 years and this is the first letter, and it stated NUMEROUS complaints of excessive barking. What does that mean? One person complaining every day? There isn't much I can do, they are dogs, if there is someone that is close to the fence, they bark, that is what they do! Well my neighbors like to wash their cars on the road every weekend right along my fence. What do you expect? I don't want to train my dogs to not bark when strangers approach, that is why I have them! Single lady living alone, they dogs are my warning system! GEESH! I don't know what goes on when I'm not here, but the dogs aren't outside barking all day when I'm home, 90% of the time they are sitting inside with me and snoozing or playing with each other.

Anyway, its put me in a funk and now all I want to go is go back to sleep and ignore :ignore: this issue. Like I need more crap to deal with right now. I think I'm just going to say.. SUCK IT  and make an effort to keep the dogs inside while I'm home other than brief potty breaks. I have no choice but to let them have the doggie door when I am in the office, as they can't be left for 12 hours a day without being able to go potty. :sadangel:

Hi everybody, sorry I am AWOL at the moment. Work is mad, home life busy, job hunting pants, impatient WTT and on my hysteroscopy (which is next Thursday), so long story short I'm a bit overwhelmed and for my sanity I am trying to take a little bit of a back seat from posting and coming onto BnB so much. As much as I love you all it's been one heck of a year after 3MCs, work probably finishing soon and DH on a 3-day week . I'm an emotional bunny regarding no number 2 baby after so much pain this year so ignorance is my tactic.

I am popping on and reading so forgive me if you see me lurking .

Ali.... what are the laws in your state? Would you have to muzzle your darlings? Have you any idea who complained?

Jess, Terri, FirstTry, Ali, Twotogo, Phil and everybody else, missing you all ladies.

xoxo

Ali- argh, I hate neighbors! I even hate your naighbors! :haha: lol! Hm, what does the letter say exactly? Does it say "do something about it or else"? I think they could fine you maybe, I am not sure on FL...I know the dumb ordinance enforcer here would try to take the dog away and "find ity a bette home" type crap but not sure in your state. I would put video surveillance in your yard so you can see if your pups really are barking that much. OH, and ALSO-- call your city and get your civil laws, you need to find out if their is a nuisance type law including an hour of cut-ff. I mean- dogs bark. That's what they do. But if there is a noise ordinance, say 10 p.m., then make sure they are in by then. That's what I had to do here- there are dogs barking literally all day but not squat can be done about it as long as they are quite by 10 p.m.

Angel- good to see you! :hugs: Hope all is well, thanks for posting and updating once in a while!

My fussy little baby is demanding I pick her up and type with one hand! Well I'll show her. I just wont type :growlmad: LOL!

I've lived here for 5 years and this is the first formal complaint I've had. It is from the homeowners association. They didn't say when the issue is occurring of how to fix it. The dogs are never out at night and so all the barking is between 7am and 5pm. So I don't know what the issue is. There are plenty of other dogs in the neighborhood that I hear baking all the time!
We also have a 'no parking in the street' law which my neighbors violate daily. They also have their window covered with hurricane shutters, so I'll give the HOA a call Monday and tell them about these issues. Two can play this game! I wouldn't have said a thing before, but I will now!
You do not want to mess with me, I am a very stubborn and persistent pain in the arse if you cross me! :ninja:
I can hear a dog barking right now, while I'm trying to snooze, do you see me complaining? :nope: cause that is what dogs do! :grr:

They found a nodule on my stepdad's lung, he has a CAT scan on Monday to get a better look at it. I read that he has a 50/50 chance of it being cancer.

Good to see you, too, Angel..... sending good thoughts your way....
phil.

Ali- yeah! :ninja: Let'em have it. I am a firm believer in fighting back! Why would the homeowners association complain? Are you in a closed community? Hm....

Just got back off a walk with dd's...went and got some basic items and still not sure what to make for dinner :sad1: Beef stirfry maybe?

Does anyone know if it is safe to drink protein shakes that contain taurine or creatine?

K. I am giving up on food :nope: JK! I can't find anything safe to drink that isn't loaded with fat  Annoying. And don't get me started on finding a nursing bra! :growlmad: Aaargh!

Mini-Rant :haha: So I feed babes and she falls asleep and dh says "Oh can you run to the store and pick something up for me? Oh, and it is light enough out yet so you can walk- if ya want". Sigh. Ok, my butt can use the exersize so I walk to go shopping, buy waaay more than I should carry home  lol and by time I am done it is pitch black outside so I end up walking home in the dark overloaded. And oddly my muscles are all super sore- like the tendons surrounding my knee caps, and my hips, atc...My arm muscles are sore and I haven't done anything wierd. I wonder if it is hormones? Anyway, I struggle into the house and don't even have my other foot in the door and Teagen starts demanding I put movies on for them to watch and get them snacks and stuff and oh, mom, could you... Kidding right?! Anyway I got irritated and told them NO MOVIES tonight. I made them clean their room and now they are in the tub  lol! Then I packed in wood for the fireplace and cooked dh a steak for dinner... Like I said, mini-rant

And strangest thing, my appetite is nonexistant- I have no appetite. It's like I don't want anything to eat until I feel weak and shaky  Wierd. And dd's are trying to pull a fast one with me and they have been saying they want "such and such" for breakfast or dinner, etc, then refusing to eat it and chucking it in the trash can! I turned this one over to dh also :growlmad: Kids can be so annoying! :haha:

:hi: everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic Saturday.

Ali...how are you? How is your step-dad? I sure hope he gets better soon.

Coy...I have an image in my mind of you breast-feeding and typing at the same time! :haha:

TwoToGo, Phil, Jen, Terri, FirstTry...how are yall?

AFM...my graduation invitations came in the :mail: today!! I was pretty excited because I ordered them so late I thought I wasn't going to get them in time to send out. Oh, and I came home from the gym today and BF had bought me some really pretty :flow: ...iris'...one of my favorites! :)

And on the TTC front...well, FF says tomorrow is my testing day but I don't know. I have no spotting but for the last couple of days I have had very mild cramps. I just don't see where the BDing timing was right. But then again, there have been other times where I thought is was right on time and BFN is all I got. I just don't have any real symptoms. My BBs are sore, but nothing out of the ordinary (other than they have been sore for 8 days.)
I was telling Coy earlier that right now I am enjoying the thought of the possibility and I don't want to test and get a BFN and be :sadangel:...besides, I dont even have any tests at the house.
I just don't know what to do...

My invitation!!

Jess-aw, flowers?:cloud9: also-l you bd'd about 5 days before ov which, in all reality, can be in that optimal time frame but  Only way to know is test or AF (STUPID af :growlmad:)fx'd!!!:hugs:

DH even agreed that there is a second line on my 3am test!!! We are cautiously optimistic. It's 6dp5dt = 11DPO, so still a big chance of it not sticking. Either way, I can't sleep. :wohoo:
