I did this test you can get online, I wish I remembered where? They send you Petrie dishes and you leave them out to collect stuff, then send them back for culture and analysis and you'll get answers. I think it was around $100 for the kit and analysis.

Thanks Ali I will look into the Aveda haircolour. I was just looking at their site and they have rosemary and henna and natural products like you said. I remember a young girl working with me who was 17 and pregnant and she saw a lady from another store who was pregnant at 36 and she said to me "that lady is too old to be pregnant." She had no wrinkles but she had told me that she was scared to colour her hair and so had alot of grey hair. She didnt want to harm the baby. I was so mad at the young girl! I asked her how she would feel if someone told her she was too young to be pregnant? A couple months later a tourist asked her why she wasnt still in school because she looked like a child and not old enough to be having a baby. People should keep their hurtful comments to themselves you know? :growlmad:

I will know my due date at my next sono on the 15th March. I am praying there is a heartbeat![-o<

I think you can get the mold test at home depot. We did the one for Radon gas. Our levels in the basement were high but not in the danger zone. Maryland has high levels of it in the ground. Dh doesnt want me going in the basement while I am pregnant but I had to go down there today to do laundry

Here is the site we used after doing the test and I just checked they do have mold tests. Home depot only has the radon and lead tests but you can buy it from the Prolab site directly.

I should test- we have done the radon test too, I mean we tested a few months ago but maybe we should do it again? Couldn't hurt

Wow, yeah, people should keep their opinions to themselevs! 36 is soOoo not too old! Heck, I wam 37! I'll be 38 in about 3-4 weeks  lol and hey, maybe I want another baby?! :haha: Can if I want, right? Too old, sheesh....

Ah, I am going crazy dh has been gone for an hour now....BNB should have a "thumb twiddling" emoticon, I need it!

I was just remembering what the RE said that my eggs were too old and since I am turning 42 in a few months I was no longer able to use my own eggs for ivf and would have to use donor eggs. Maybe I should print out a photo of my RE and place it on a dart board:devil: :grr:

I see everyone has gone offline so going to make dinner. Will check back tomorrow for an update from Sam! Have a fun Friday night ladies!!

Love the dart board idea!! :haha: Seriously.

Yay, dh is home and no stones! Just a major infection :sad1:

Me too! Go for the dart board Chantal!!

Coy, glad DH is stone free, so what happens next?

Wow you guys have been a chatty bunch.

Alicatt- Do the cleanse you will feel better

Coy- Ughhh awful about your hubby..but don't worry. I suggest you do another home test. It could also be this dry cold weather! You should dye your hair and put some lip gloss on. Drink some beer and chips, because you have room in your jeans for it!

Chantal- Awesome news!!!!! Can't wait.:flower:

So FS called 8 eggs were viable and I got 4 embryos...boy these numbers start to dwindle! So transfer is on Sunday! Lets hope they make until then!

I feel a bit sore, but I'm okay! It wasn't that bad. I start the progesterone oil today. I have all these left over drugs and they are worth so much...but I hope never to use them again!

Sams, that is to be expected I think they expect about 30% of the harvested eggs to make it to day 5, since you are doing a day 3 transfer those 4 will keep going  So the PIO shot, not my favorite. By about 10 days I had bruising all over my bum, and lumps too. Do the ice thing first, that will help a ton, then massage the area for a few minutes after to disperse the oil, then you won't have as many lumps  So have you decided how many to transfer? 1 or 2 or maybe 3? My FS said I could transfer up to 3, but recommended 2. So exciting! :wohoo:

Ali- Thanks for the advice! 3 day transfer and I'm hoping to transfer 2. My friend has triplets..too stressful!

Just shot my bum with progesterone oil! Ouch! What is this for anyway!

Good plan with 2, the idea of triplets scared the crap out of me, and selective reduction did too (where they go in and inject potassium chloride into the heart of one of them). So I will continue to stick with 2! I don't think they normally suggest 3, but the idea is that as you get older they tend to think its better to put more back. It would be my luck that all 3 would stick! :haha:

The PIO shot and the estrogen are both necessary to help maintain the pregnancy. In a normal cycle the follicle will burst and out comes the egg, but the follicle will turn into a corpus luteum and will produce progesterone and estrogen to help the embryo grow until about 8-12 weeks when the placenta takes over. However; with IVF they go in and harvest the eggs and ruin the follicle so it can't turn into the corpus luteum. That is why you must supplement with the PIO shot and estrogen (patch, pill, suppository, shot). That is the interesting thing. Each time they choose a different method. I've always gone with the PIO shot, simply because it is cheapest and seems to do the trick. The suppositories are mega expensive, and well depending on the suppository are quite gross. In each of my IVF cycles I've had estrogen patches, which is why I find it so strange that he moved to the shot. That clearly didn't work! Anyway, that is why you need to use the supplements.

 Sam- you crack me up! :haha: You are so strong :hugs: Yay for all the great embryo's--sonce you are only transfering 2 are you going to freeze the others? :cold:

Ali- I think the cleanse would help too but make certain you don't dehydrate n any sense.

I think I will test the house for mold again  Just to be on the safe side. And I am wondering because we usually use wood heat but once in a while let the fireplace go out and the furnace (gas) may kick on and it blows warm air into the house. As soon as it does everyone starts to sneeze like carzy! So I am wondering if maybe dust, allergens, mold--

Oh, and the idea was that if dh still had infection he had to be hospitalized to get rid of it. But his doc flew to Ecuador and the fill in he reccommended put dh on a :bodyb: super strong antibiotic for 2 weeks  So I hope this'll do the trick.

I swear. My family is making me :loopy: lol!

I feel better after coloring my hair. And Sam- you made me laugh "rooom ion my pants"

Coy- yes I think the cleanse will be good for me, it's 6 16 oz bottles of different juices that are made of things like lemon, kale, cucumber, almonds, coconut, beets etc. Each one does a different thing. One cleanses the kidneys another balances metabolism, etc.

Should be a good thing!

Yes, get the mild test, and maybe get your ducts cleaned? But I don't think an allergy would give your DD's white spots on their tonsils

I'm hanging with my mom today getting my car serviced and new tires too. We're at the mall now then heading home in a bit.

Hey, Jess sent me a recipe for egg white muffins (on FB, she has pics, lol) - I love it! It's super easy and everybody seems to like them  Yay, I can make breakfast the night before :haha: lol
