Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Coy - eek, about your DH, maybe you should get him to go to the hospital? I know some of those antibiotics can be worse than the initial problem. Maybe being in a hospital setting they can give him a better dose or a different med?

AFM - yes I caved, but it was the juice that made me cave. The lemon/cayenne juice burned all the way down and was causing my stomach to feel like it was on fire. I knew that I needed to put some FOOD in there to counteract it or I was going to be violently ill. I would do the cleanse again, but NOT the lemon one! I'm thinking that perhaps I'll do it again if/when I hit a plateau. The last one I drank, the almond joy was awesome, and soooo filling! It was amazing how full I felt after that one.

Yes, Zoe is having surgery tomorrow, to remove a little pea sized lump on her shoulder. My Mom felt it and said.. ohh that felt just like my cancer! :argh: Like I wanted to hear that! It does feel like the lump she had removed 6 months ago on her other shoulder, and it was non-cancerous, so I'm hoping it isn't anything to worry about. Like last time, it will take a week to get the results, so I won't know until next week what we are dealing with. I'm worried and a little scared, but hopefully it is nothing bad.

Yes, I get to meet Victor FINALLY, but it isn't until NEXT Thursday. I'm excited!

Angel this is for you

Angel no negative thinking please! Enjoy your pregnancy. Negative thoughts are no good. The tiredness can come and go. I felt tired for a few days in Barbados but then it disappeared for a week and then came back. Breast were also not as sore as the first time around so I was worried but now today at 7 weeks they are veiny and very sore. You are early. Your symptoms will come. Your guardian angel is watching over you. If I listened to my OBGYN I would be doubtful too. She told me that she didn't think this was a normal pregnancy. :nope: Keep the faith sweetie. :hugs:

Yikes drinking anything cayenne could be, uh, stressful...good idea to eat! Hope Zoe is okay :hugs: She's a tuffy!

ahhhhhh I am rummy right now. Just finished combining some team efforts, got one individual assignment to crank out and :sleep::sleep:

OMG that emoticon looks awesome :sleep::sleep::sleep: lol

I did put a word in to dh's doc, we'll see what he says?
Urgh, I bolted 2 mugs of hot coffee now I need food :laugh2:

Yep! The worst part was that I was not expecting the cayenne, so I started to chug the drink.. then was like AHHHHHH that freaking hurts! :haha:

Yes, I'm hopeful that Zoe will be just fine. As I said, we removed one just like this 6 months ago, and it was inflammation due to an immune response to trauma. So hopefully this one is too!

That  icon is so cruel! That is all I want to do too!:sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep:

Let us know what you hear from he Dr!

Coy thanks for the pics of Aeryn. She is so cute!
You are such a awesome nurse for your dh. Sorry to hear he is so ill :(

Ali I hope all goes well with Zoe's surgery tomorrow. I agree with you, it is probably a lump like the one she had in her other shoulder. Why are people so quick to think the worst.
To answer your question I feel hungry today. Bladder is no longer waking me up during the night..boobs are. Even wearing a sports bra they hurt. Finally I see a map of blue veins on them. I've graduated from a B cup to C cup :haha:

Ali How exciting that you get to meet Victor next Thursday!! :yipee:

I remember how awesome it was to finally meet dh in person! First thing he said to me was "You are the best thing that has happened to me today" (after missing his flight because he forgot his passport and had to turn back for it. Then being stuck for 6 hours in Puerto Rico waiting for the next flight)

Yes, I'm excited! It should be fun to meet him and see if there is any chemistry :happydance: I think we will get along quite nicely

Course trying to have a relationship with someone that lives in a different country is going to be interesting. Especially since he has no interest in moving here (that I know of) and while I would love to move there, don't see that being feasible.

Just a quick drive by post. My phone still is free in the Virgin Islands! Tested this morning and BFN, hoping it was just too early but I have zero symptoms. Even the crampiness has gone away that I had last month. Just a sore lower back.

Had a great day touring St. Croix. Tomorrow I am on the waiting list to swim with dolphins, if not then ill hang on the ship since we've been to this island.

Cool! What island are you visiting tomorrow? If it is St. Maartin, I recommend going to the french side of the island to the town of Marigot, there is a market there that is really fun! I got a really sweet little watercolor, and a beautiful larimar necklace and earrings. I think you can get larimar at several islands in that region.

P.S. I think my chart is all messed up for this month because I have had such wacky sleep patterns, so bbt is all messed up too. I will try to rely upon opk and then check am temp accordingly  That way if I do get preggo I'll have a clue :haha: But I gotta say if I wanted to get preggo my chances are pretty good lately :laugh2: Bd every day/every other day pretty much raises the odds!

So we are going to see what happens tonight. I told him to eat before he takes his antibiotic and to rest when he's tired instead of dragging everything out, chugging meds on an empty stomache and trying to sleep :growlmad:

Well, I got one assignment done, made chicken noodle soup, lunch for dd's, fed Aeryn, cleaned the living room....I was so tired last night I got up and sbrubbed the toilet :laugh2: Why I have no clue, when I get tired I try to force myself to do the stuff I hate

Now Aeryn is asleep and I should take a nap too but am driving myself....

Must have missed some posts.. bad Ali! I am going to blame it on my extreme fatigue! Bummer about the Dr being so vague. I mean come on, that is what they are there for. ARGH. I hope things are better tonight. If the antibiotic states take with food, then by all means take it with food! There are some that just wreak havoc on my tummy, so maybe that is what it is doing to your DH.

BTW - Aeryn is sooooooooo sweet! Love her smiles.. just want to sit there and watch her smile and giggle all day long! :baby::flower::winkwink:

Hi ladies, just dropping by to say hi and have a good day.

I've been pretty low yesterday and today, I'm reading though! I just think this little bean isn't going to be my rainbow as I don't feel tired this past two days and I've been to the loo a few times (normally my first sign that things arent progressing).

I'll keep in touch xo

  I really hope you are wrong! When do you go in to see your Dr? Have you done a HPT recently? :flower:

I don't go until the end of the month Ali, the 28th I think it is. I went for a run and my head is a little clearer,I'd forgotten how tough these early weeks can be.

Tomorrow is another day ladies, thanks so much for the encouragement, it does really help me keep perspective.

xo

Chantal, thank you so much :hugs:, that brought a tear and a smile to my eyes:flower: im going to have an early night and wake up looking forward. Here's to us both holding our rainbows in 7-8 months time xo

Coy, i want your daughter, she's TOO cute:winkwink:

Ali, what age is Zoe? Lipomas (fatty benign cysts) become more common with age. They mainly occur on the shoulder, hips, legs and even belly. Our Petra has a few but as she is 13 we're just leaving them. I think the first one appeared when she was about 8. She has ither problems so the vet advised to just leave them unless they annoy her xo

Zoe is 10, normally I'd leave it, but apparently the location/depth of the mass makes my vet nervous. Thing is, I'm not so sure I'll put her on chemo if it is cancer? I guess we'll see what it is and the recommended treatment.
