Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Ali How exciting that you get to meet Victor next Thursday!! :yipee:

I remember how awesome it was to finally meet dh in person! First thing he said to me was "You are the best thing that has happened to me today" (after missing his flight because he forgot his passport and had to turn back for it. Then being stuck for 6 hours in Puerto Rico waiting for the next flight)

Yes, I'm excited! It should be fun to meet him and see if there is any chemistry :happydance: I think we will get along quite nicely

Course trying to have a relationship with someone that lives in a different country is going to be interesting. Especially since he has no interest in moving here (that I know of) and while I would love to move there, don't see that being feasible.

Wait a minute!! I've missed something! WHO is Victor??? I'm so out of the loop!!

chantal- can't wait for your mind-easing scan :hugs: Btw- vivid dreams are a symptom of pregnancy, i had the weirdest darn dreams! Hey, samurai ken is cool :laugh2: I want one! :haha: Btw- the cartoon of ivf- i almost wet my pants :laugh2: Waaaay cute! :hugs:

sam- ah! Pupusas! Lol, now i remember, i used to eat these when i lived in utah, i totally forgot...i thought you were talking some pregnancy acronym :haha:

angel- try to stay positive :hugs: Huge  Your way!

ali- hashbrowns and eggs :haha:  :laugh2: Lol...heheheh...you totally caved :haha: Good girl though, you need food :growlmad: And good ol' irish food to boot! Wow, so you meet thursday...(whisper...oooo lala :haha: :hugs:) jk...i'm feeling bad today as in michael jackson's "i'm bad" kinda bad...

Wait- why is zoe having surgery? 8-[

afm- i am tired, can ya tell? I was up all night with dh- his fevers strike at night  And pop up to like 101-102 and he is wracked with chills, hot sweats, and pain all over including his heart 8-[....anyway we were up until 5 am then i bounced out at 8 to get medicine. His fever is down and he's  In his big chair in the living room while dd's watch cartoons. Hm...anyway he almost agreed to got o the hospital last night, which i know it;s gotta be bad when he does that .

My lazy baby is still sleeping and my right boob is going to explode. I should just wake her up  But she's soooooo cute when she sleeps- see

Victor is a guy I met on BnB on the IVF thread a few months ago. He's single, lives in the Bahamas and is pregnant. Well he isn't literally pregnant, but his gestational carrier is. He's coming to FL for the 20 week ultrasound. If I'd gotten pregnant during my Dec IVF, then I would have been 2 weeks behind him  Oh well, I'm still not out I have 4 :cold:

Ah! ok.... I missed that his name was Victor or that he was coming down..... woo hoo!!

there is something about the sweet, soft skin of a newborn baby, isn't there?

aww Phil she does have very soft looking skin. I can imagine how good she smalls too
I'm feeling nauseous after eating a bowl of tapioca for dessert :saywhat:
silly chia baby, I ate this every day before you were conceived! Don't you recognize it? :haha: Only thing I can think is I put dark chocolate and agave instead of vanilla essence (because of alcohol). 3 years ago I would get nauseous every time I drank hot chocolate. Milk has not been a problem. Maybe it's the chocolate?

it could be anything, and it could change back in a second! tomorrow tapioca could be fine again!
for me the ick was fish.... it lasted all the way through, but I can eat it again now!

I'm just watching the bachelor.... cheese at its best!

dh is watching Lost girl. It's his tv night. Being human before that was pretty gross. (maybe why I was nauseous)

Yay! He let me switch to AMC and Sixteen candles is starting.
Haven't see that in about 20 years :haha: I love John Hugh's films :)

I LOVE Sixteen Candles.... and the Breakfast Club.... all those movies.... best thing is watching them with my eldest DD.... and being able to say... yeah, my hair was like that girl there.... or - Yup, we all wore clothes like that... or All the girls thought boys who looked like that were so hot!

It makes her laugh!

There are German band students visiting the city right now. Our band students are going over there in 2 weeks. We (the school band parents) are hosting a potluck dinner and I'm trying to decide what to bring as my contribution.... I want something uniquely Canadian, but also superbly tasty.... I'm thinking Butter Tarts? or maybe Maple Butter Tarts? Or Nanaimo Bars?
What do you ladies think of when you think of Canadian Food Fare?

I think tourtiere and poutine..but I guess that is french Canadian huh :haha:
yes Maple Butter Tarts or Nanaimo Bars sound like a great choice Phil

I think I will try for the Maple Butter Tarts.... the only ingredient I don't have is corn syrup and I can pick that up tomorrow.

Babes is asleep again! she's been asleep more than awake all day long! hope she doesn't want to be awake all night!!

MMMMM.. Nanaimi bars for sure!!! Or maple fudge? I'd say a Bloody Caesar but that would not be appropriate for teens! :haha: I'm trying to think of other options.. tourtière is good or Montreal smoked meat? I always make plenty of Montreal smoked meat sandwiches! Served with dill pickle chips :haha: Butter tarts are also up there on the list! I vote for the Nanaimo bars though. I haven't had one of those in ages, but boy does that sound good!

I think I will make up a tray of Butter Tarts, maple fudge, Nanaimo bars, and Beaver Tails!
Totally Canadian, Eh?

Perfect! I hope that isn't too much work? Now I want all of these things! YUM!

Hello All,
I hope this finds my BnB ladies well today!
I've just gotten in the door from picking up treat making supplies.... BUT I want to do a deep clean of the kitchen first!
Babes MUST be sleeping better if I have energy to do the detail stuff in the kitchen.

I don't know how it happens, but the tray that holds the spoons, knives, forks etc always seems to collect crumbs or whatnot and it drives me nuts! They go into the tray clean, so where do the crumbs come from?? So one of the things I want to do is pull out the silverware and wipe out the tray. Then wipe down the cupboards and re-organize under the sink (if I still have energy and Babes stays asleep!)

WOW! That is some burst of energy! I have the exact same pet peeve, how on earth do those pesky crumbs get in the CLEAN cutlery holder? It makes no sense to me either. Do you want to come over and clean mine out too? I have to do under the sink as well, it is a nightmare under there. I just keep shoving things around :haha: I figure that I'll deal with that cabinet when I'm pregnant and starting to baby proof the house. I figure it can house nasty chemicals and be all dis-organized until then! me and my procrastination! Congrats on starting to feel better though! IMO.. the more you do in your day, the more active you are while babes sleeps, the faster you will lose the baby weight, and well in your case slim down! :happydance:

AFM - I should hear from the vet around 3ish to hear how Zoe did under the knife. They send the lump down to Miami to a lab down there that does the pathology and I won't hear about that for another week. So I'll be on pins and needles for a week about that.

I'm on day 2 of my GF meal delivery, and while I'm not really too fond of how they cook their eggs, I'm already noticing how much better I feel with proper nutrients in my body! It is like someone flipped a switch and suddenly I'm more attentive and my brain is thinking more clearly! Plus I feel like I have more energy. :happydance: I'm also down 2 lbs, I know that isn't much, but its only been 3 days! My goal is to lose 15-20 lbs before my FET at the end of April, beginning of May. Which is about 7-8 weeks from now.

ARGH! I need to get back on my GF eating..... I've gained back 5 lbs and I feel it! DH gets paid on Thursday, so I want to have a menu plan in place by then so I can go shopping for CLEAN eating GF foods!
We are meeting up with DH's family at the end of April and I'd like to feel svelte even if I'm not quite there by then.....
Ali, maybe you and I should be GF buddies and keep each other on the path?
xx
