Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

thanks Ali. I will buy some since with my uterine lining I am starting from scratch. It should help build it up along with the chinese herbs. I finished the antibiotics a few days ago so now I can take them. Acupuncturist said not to mix western and eastern medicine. I am starting back my yoga and pilates today. Hopefully I will stop feeling so tired all the time.

Wishing everyone a great day!

That is a good plan, I guess with everything that has happened you have to wait a few months anyway right? Don't they like to wait 2-3 cycles before you TTC again? Or is that wrong?

OK so I guess I didn't ovulate  It is so strange when ttcing to hope you DON'T ovulate  Anyway, they can tell by the levels of estrogen and progesterone. My e2 was 69 and my p4 was 0.4, my estrogen is LOW but still OK, and my p4 is under 1 which means I didn't ovulate. Usually by this point it should be around 10 if I'd ovulated.

So we are going to go ahead and do the biopsy on Monday. We will make some changes to my real FET by adding in Lupron and also acupuncture. I wonder if there is anything else they can do? Ladies? Do you have any thoughts on how to thicken a lining? I feel like just 2-3 months ago I was asking how to thin a lining? My body is crazy!!!

Chantal- I understand. The chromosomes probably faded by then. That was similar to what the doc said to me also, indicating as babes had stopped growing at 8 weeks and I didn't mc until 12. Wow, you are hopping right back into the physical activity! You go girl  I wish I knew yoga and pilates. Right now "me time" is a huge pipe dream :laugh1: Yoga strikes me as something that would be a bit like meditation...am I right? I love to work out, just wish I could juggle the time it takes. Re:uterine cramping. It may feel crampy for a week or so, have you asked your doctor about it?

Ali- what in heck is neupogen (sp)? I have never heard of it. How does it help? And if you didn't ov how did that corpus luteum get there? :wacko:And I agree w/Chantal...find a way to fit the ice cream :haha:

AFM- you don't want to know, lol!

Oh, and as for waiting 2-3 cycles after d&c or m/c. Nope--not if your lining is ok. We skipped one month because dh wasn't feeling well but got preggo the next month.

Neupogen is a drug that helps the body create white blood cells. I'm really not sure how it helps create the lining other than there have been a few studies that show it helps make the lining thicker and that almost 100% of the women treated with neupogen got pregnant. It was not a full trial, and there is still more research to be done, but at this point why not?

I waited 1/2 an hour and got my ice cream, it was peanut butter flavored ice cream with chocolate fudge and chunks of reeces pieces in it. YUM!!!

I know we will be adding in Lupron, maybe neupogen? IDK. We'll see what he thinks!

COY we do want to know!!! How are things today?

lol! ok, AFM! :haha: Not much really, just being irritable today. I am being told (in a nutshell) that I am testy and defensive and (apparently) these problems of mine date back a decade or so  When I am told I probably can't figure out a bike tire pump yeah--I get testy :growlmad:
I will rant visually :

:brat: :hissy: :growlmad: :hissy: :juggle: annnnndd !!@#&&&*$#!!

I sent a post last night but in my migraine induced misery I never hit submit. I had a bad day yesterday ladies. Migraine was so bad I got chills and wanted to vomit. I also had cramping. Is this from trigger leaving my system? I started the progesterone supps last night so far I'm ok.

Ali good news about not oving. Sounds like they have some protocol tweaks up their sleeve if needed.

Coy I hope these tonsil stones go away fast. I got mine removed when I was 8 due to recurrent strep and ear infections. My quality of life improved significantly.

Chantal I hope you feel back to your happy self soon. I have never heard of using castor oil, maybe some ladies on the assisted conception board might know. All I know is that you are meant to be a Mom. Maybe God is saving a special child for you, would you ever consider adopting? I have a friend who adopted after years of ttc and a year after they got their adorable daughter she got prego with another girl. My ob said the best way to get a bfp is to adopt! I'm praying for you.

SAms how is my fellow LI'er doing? If you're going to take some time off do whatever you need to get your system and mind ready, even take a vacay if you can.

Afm not as bad of a headache and cramping is slight on right side. Fatigue is subsiding too. That trigger shot was like a coma shot! My boss asked me today if I'm going for IVF. I told him no...not a lie yet! Ugh.

Babywhisperer sorry to hear how sick you were yesterday. :hugs:
Wow I never had vomitting after trigger shot. Did you ask the doctor if maybe you had an allergic reaction to it? Hope you feel much better soon :hugs: I am adopted so I am open to the idea. I am also scared that many times the birth mother takes back her child. I would not be able to handle that.

Ali sounds like you will not be delayed afterall :happydance: The only thing I know that thickens the lining is the chinese herbs I take. Are you still going to acupuncturist? I was only told no :sex: for a month. Dh keeps seeing every kiss etc as me trying to seduce him lol  My libido is completely gone. Hopefully it comes back in a month. This has never happened to me before  I do have more energy after doing pilates today.

Coy you can chop wood and do alot of stuff alot of women have no clue about. Who told you that comment about not knowing how to use a bike tire pump? Understandable that you never have "me time". You need to tell your dh that you need 1 hour of time a day to relax. :icecream:
Yes yoga involves meditation while doing different poses and breathing exercises. The fertility yoga I do has special breathing called "Ujjayi" which helps stimulate the ovaries for ovulation. Yes I did ask OB about the cramping and she said it was normal. After natural miscarriage I felt like myself again and uterus didn't cramp. I am still spotting too.

BabyW - sounds like you have the estrogen issues I have. You have to understand that your body had 2-3 times the normal amount of estrogen in your system before trigger, and now that number is falling, so it stands to reason your body is reacting to it. I'm really sensitive to my estrogen changing and I get horrible headaches. So much so that even when I change patches it spawns migraines. In fact I'm sitting here right now at my desk with one

Drink more water, and call the FS, some of them will prescribe something for the migraine, others will not. So maybe yours is one of the nice guys that will give you something.

Cramping is probably the residual from the IUI, I felt every little twinge!

Implantation probably won't happen until 6-9DPO, and you are 3DPO right? So that means 6-9DPO will be Sat-Tues next week. If you can, try to rest and relax during those days, take it easy and by no means do you want to get stressed. I'm convinced that my NK cells fire during stress, and I had very stressful day 7s for both IVF cycles. I know that sounds crazy, but when I get stressed I clench my muscles, and I think it caused me not to conceive. So this time around I'm going to take days 5-9 off and not work and just relax. Maybe I'm being  but I want this to work!!!

Yes, I'm very happy no delay! :happydance: OHH.. fertility yoga? I NEED THAT!!!

Hi Ali :hi: Did you end up using the patches yesterday?
The dvd is called restoring fertility yoga for optimum fertility
I got mine from Amazon, This is the website on the back of the dvd.
www.restoringfertility.com

hmm that site is temp down so you can try this one. There is a short clip. I exercise with those 2 oriental ladies every day :haha:

So I just noticed the lady narrating has the same name as me spelt differently..

Hi Ali :hi: Did you end up using the patches yesterday?

I didn't I was so sure we were going to cancel, I didn't want to waste them. I put them on as soon as I got to work this morning and sure enough.. another migraine :( I swear my body hates estrogen. :sadangel:

Ali I know you have strong pills for your migraines but have you tried magnesium? It also helps with cramping. It is an awesome supplement. Though when I take too much I get the runnings :haha: I added the site for the fertility yoga in my previous post.

HMM.. never tried that  The fioricet helps, but it comes back, and I hate taking so many drugs all the time!

OHH.. one thing I have started to do to try to get my electrolytes to be happier is drinking coconut water (not milk). It is a great way to get the electrolytes naturally.

Yes coconut water is great.
Dh likes it with rum :haha: He is bummed that now he has to go back to only having one a month

Hi ladies! :hi:

Ali you are so funny with the "I need that!" comment in regard to fertility yoga! LOL! You're fertile hon, just planting and timing issues  I think you're getting it all hammered out!

Chantal- yes, there is a dfference when you get a d&c--the doc gave me meds to help with bleeding but I never took them as the bleeding stopped pretty much on it's own. There was cramping but  I think I ignored it. If it persists def call your doc!~

Babywhisperer-- so sorry you were that sick! Ugh, I hate migraines :nope:

Sams- where are you?

AFM- ah, a "misunderstanding" between dh and I on the tire pump  lol! I admit it--I am defensive, but he souldn't say "you're probably doing it wrong" with such resolve. As it happens it was a hole in the tube :smug: so there! lol! Just like a few years ago I called from work to say my car wouldn't start and he's all like "crazy woman, you probably left the lights on AGAIN and drained the battery :growlmad:" Turns out the starter went out- aHA! Again SO there! lol....ah, men are so eager to point out when we're wrong, I think they love it? He always reminds me of our first date. HIs truck alternator went bad so I had to tow him. Well, he suggests using my little car which is a wreck repair (another term for spit and glue :haha: ) Anyways, I hit the end of the rope to hard, the hook snapped off and ended up deeply embeded in his headlight  He'll never let me forget it. :sadangel: lol!

Oh yeah, I hated my bloated feeling yesterday and decided to "get back on the wagon" lol! Ahhh...cutting carbs feels so freaking awesome! No bagel this morning *sniff* but I tided over with a couple crackers and no-fat yogurt  and my amazing coffee! Today I have had my share of chocolate though :dohh: but THAT I am not giving up :sulk: lol And I am drinking more water which also feels great! Everyone wants chicken enchiladas but I dislike the amount of rice and corn so I am having a steak and salad for dinner  MAybe a glass of wine tonight. And almost like a kick in the pants I get a free bodybuilding magazine in the mai for women over 40...hm...did I order it in my sleep or did someone send it to me? lol!

Also trying not to stress over the tonsil issue- mine seem fine, back to normal, maybe just residual? Anyways as careful as I've been there's not too much more I can do to prevent it in dd's, so if we have to take tonsils out- ah...guess we'll deal with it at that point! I gotta suck it up and be a tough mom sometimes.

Coy- Your awesome:thumbup: I wish I had your discipline. If I could just eat what I say I'm going to eat. You eat nothing. I think I eat what every hour what you eat in a day. I'm glad you are feeling better.

Alicatt- How are you doing girl? I have to say every time I read this forum, I wonder how do you know all of this stuff

Babywhisperer- Tell you boss that is none of his business! Really he asked you that? Hope you are feeling better. It doesn't look like I'll be taking time off my next session. I'm working on my egg quality.

Chantal- Coconut water is excellent. Where do you find the time to do yoga and pilates. I used to do pilates religiously, but didn't see any results in the way I looked. I hope your spirits are up.

AFM- I saw the acupuncturist this am at 7 am... I'm beat right now:sleep::sleep: He said either I can do IVF the next cycle or July, because he's going to China in June. He told me I have to take the tea or he wouldn't see me. w:nope: I don't want to drink it!:coffee: It makes me gag. I'm totally tired. He helped me decide to see a new clinic. I called this am and got an appointment. It's not as well rated as my current clinic, but who knows about these stats. My acupuncturist recommended it and so did my obgyn.. and its closer to work and home, so I'm going to go and get an opinion, tomorrow! Wish I had my blood work and info with me.
So I went to acupuncture at 7 am. Work all day, lunch meeting.. then took off early to take my niece and nephews for a fun afternoon. They were so tiring... but I didn't eat right today. Now I'm exhausted and don't know how I'm going to go drink that stuff.:nope:

Oh yeah, I hated my bloated feeling yesterday and decided to "get back on the wagon" lol! Ahhh...cutting carbs feels so freaking awesome! Sams- lol @ your 80'ish year old Chinese guy! Sounds like something out of a cool movie :haha: heheh...is there incense burning when you walk in and does he just appear silently and scare the bee-jesus out of you??! haha! awesome :laugh2: here's my take on it:if the tea is good stuff you probably ought to take it...on the other hand if dude is making a sweet MINT everytime you buy the tea he's probably pulling one over:huh: That's what my cynical nature tells me. But even tho it makes you gag it sounds like all good stuff

K, I don't feel disciplined :haha: Did have my steak and salad but naughty girl threw Doritos in there too.......not sure how THAT happened.......o well, waste not want not :haha: I ate them :smug:

Sams.. good to hear from you! Infertility can be so tiring! Running to appts and acupuncture and still trying to work a full day, it's a wonder we don't all collapse! Plus a lot of the meds wipe you out too!

I'm curious how your ancient man can improve your egg quality in 1 month? Science has demonstrated that it takes 3 months for an egg to mature  so you need to wait 3 months to see results. I'll be interested to see how it improves!

AFM.. migraine from hell and a messy house. Cleaning ladies are coming tomorrow but I need to get so much more done before they get here! AAAAHHH!
I'm going to get into bed and deal with it tomorrow!!

OH, and I have to give myself the dreaded PIO shot :argh:
