Sounds like a a fair deal for a last minute hidden cost I'd still be pissed, but maybe the blame lies with the builder which usually cuts corners in developments. Good for you in negotiating!

And yes, my getting sick was uh, the south route Now I am left with some serious gas so I'm happy to be home. I decided to go out and buy some hpt's and the test line came up immediately and darker than the reference line which is a first. I am relieved, but not going to really feel ok until I see the scan and or heartbeat. Some women see the heartbeat earlier than 6 weeks and some even hear it as early as 5 weeks 5 days, which is the date of my scan. Fx'd! Dh is coming with me and he is so excited!! I don't think I will fully relax until baby is born, develops normally, graduates college, gets a great job and gets married. Seriously.

Ouch! I have had issues the past few days with the umm.. south route as well. I have been trying to figure out what it causing it. I know I'm not eating as much, and that can make things get loose (without a gall bladder that happens). Oh well, I'm home all week, so that makes it not as bad.


YAY! For the nice dark HPT I hope that helped calm your fears. I can only imagine how you are feeling, like walking on egg shells. FX'd that you see the heartbeat on Fri!! That is so fun that your DH is going with you too. Your first glimpse of your little bean. So awesome!!!

Ya.. I figured that I got as good of a deal as I was going to get. I mean the guys are still working on the floor and getting it flat, so I can see why the extra cost. The last thing I want is for them not to get paid! They are the ones doing the work, so I understand that they deserve the $$, but I don't mind Lowe's taking a hit

Not sure where I'll be sleeping tonight since they are not likely to get my bedroom done. I might be sleeping on a couch or something. LOL. Good thing I'm working remotely this week. Between not being able to get into my bathroom, and taking benadryl instead of xyrtec in the morning, and sleeping on the couch I'm going to be a mess!

Thanks! lolz about the test test test!!Y, the only thing worse than a taken-too-early-BFN would be to have that occur with a stale expired test. Why not add another layer of doubt right? If I make it to like 15 DPO w/o AF then maybe I'll get a test.

Don't even ask about my flooring I've had to yell at 3 different people today to get this all sorted out. I am very unhappy and am still feeling like I'm going to get screwed. The installers left, I have pools of this leveling stuff all over my bedroom, and I get to sleep on a mattress in my office tonight. Apparently the issue is the size of the install. They don't want to do it without t-moldings! I'm like well you shouldn't have taken the job then as that was part of the deal. NO T-Moldings!! OMG So I just got off the phone with Lowe's and basically told them that if they can't figure out a way to install the wood without T-Moldings and WITH a warranty of the materials AND labor, that we were going to have issues. All of this was supposedly reviewed and approved BEFORE I signed on the dotted line. There aren't even T-moldings on my order! I feel a migraine coming on. I knew this was going to be a rough week. Just didn't realize it was going to be this painful.

From what I've read everything says no hot dogs...but I guess as long as you know its pure meat and preferably NOT pork (like, say, maybe kosher??) and cook the heck out of them! I ate kosher ones....what are they called?? Hebrew National!! (I remembered)lol....even deli meat has to be cooked first...no soft serve ice cream..the fear is potential bacteria- what we or small kids can handle can kill a fetus ..

They were uncured meat hot dogs and well cooked. I might have a stomach bug because anything I eat today even saltines goes right thru me. I really think it was the sauerkraut. It might have been too pickled for my tum.

So I did another dumb thing! I left my silvedene cream in my master bathroom but I can't get in there until tomorrow morning! They dumped a ton of the self leveling stuff on the floor and its not dry! UGH..

I just prepped my makeshift bed for tonight, I'm sleeping on my mattress on the floor in my office! LOL! It will be like camping! The dogs think its cool and were jumping on/off the mattress having a great time!

Hopefully the bedroom will be done by tomorrow and things will be a little easier!

So I did another dumb thing! I left my silvedene cream in my master bathroom but I can't get in there until tomorrow morning! They dumped a ton of the self leveling stuff on the floor and its not dry! UGH..

I just prepped my makeshift bed for tonight, I'm sleeping on my mattress on the floor in my office! LOL! It will be like camping! The dogs think its cool and were jumping on/off the mattress having a great time!

Hopefully the bedroom will be done by tomorrow and things will be a little easier!

Really 3 days? I just tried soup and it went right thru me and I'm starting to get scared its something I ate and will harm the embryo. It was an Applegate Farm all beef hot dog with no nitrates or nitrites. Could sauerkraut cause harm?

Sorry you are separated from your medicine. Can you Macgyver a wire hanger or some makeshift pole to get it or is it too far away?

I'm hoping to be able to walk on it before I go to bed! If not I'll be able to get into the bathroom in the morning

I was just reading that diarrhea is common in the early weeks of pregnancy. It could be a bug too, but either way I'm sure your bean is just fine

I ate hot dogs... just know its cooked hot all the way through... same with deli meats- I'd bring them home and throw them on a hot fry pan to steaming, flip- then they were stored in a different container. It kills anything that may be on the surface like listeria which is the concern for pregnant women.

saurkraut is cabbage, right? cabbage always gave me issues too but it shouldn't effect the baby... and I am sure the hot dog was fine... chances are its a little bug or even the surge of hormones can get things going in that way...
loads of mums get the flu, colds, etc and the babies are well protected....

I managed to retrieve my cream and brush my teeth! YAY!
Zach and Zoe are not too sure about our sleeping arrangements! Zoe just leapt off the day bed onto Zach.. Now he's all pissed. It's just like having kids! LOL!

Thanks Phil for the updates! I knew the issue was listeria. I do enjoy sausages in the summer grilled on the BBQ and served with sauerkraut and spicy mustard!! MMM! In fact that is what I'm bringing to the Memorial Day party in a month! I might be preggers by then! WOW! It almost feels surreal!

Thanks doll. I could use all the loving energy I can get. I think it was a bug. Anything I ate including Saltines went right thru me. I went to bed around 9:30 and am attempting my commute to work. I hope I don't have any further issues at work. They think stomach bugs are bs excuses and I'm just playing hookey. But I was logged on from home and answering messages and other things on Bloomberg that they can check to see if I am on and picking up msgs.

I guess I slept OK! Doggies woke me up far too early They are not used to all the noise on the street in the morning and hit me up an hour before my alarm It wasn't entirely their fault, someone had let their dogs out and Tgey were barking up a storm. My burn is getting better, but I still have these darn headaches and still no word from the FS office.

Lowe's has stated that they will warranty the install even though the installers will not. What kind of company refuses to warranty their work? I'm surprised that they are even working with Lowe's! Plus I was reading that Mohawk will only warranty the materials if they are installed with Mohawk glue! I haven't heard anything about glue being used and especially not Mohawk glue! Not sure I can take another day of battling to get this job done right.

Hey Coy..

I'm here. It is mass chaos at my house today. There is a film of dust EVERYWHERE. Even on me I hate feeling dusty and gross, UGH. The hardwoods are going in, and they are floating them (no glue or nails). I hope that is OK? Mohawk is the name of the company that made my floor. They made my first floor as well. It looks amazing so I'm hoping my second floor does too. So far so good! They are putting in the 1/4 round along the edges in my bedroom so that is a good sign!! I can hardly wait until my cleaning ladies are here next week to clean up this mess. It is icky nasty!

I remember when I was little we LOVED Inspector Gadget. He was amazing Only problem was that the show didn't air in Canada, so we could only watch it when we were on vacation in the US! So we'd come on vacation to Florida to visit my grandparents, and all we would want to do was watch Inspector Gadget! My parents were like.. umm.. there is a beach and Busch Gardens, and a pool and Disney. Eventually they added the program to Canadian broadcasting and it wasn't a big deal. The silly things kids do when they are young

Babywhisperer- LOL @ your " Macgyver a wire hanger or some makeshift pole" TOTALLY sounds like something I would try to do Hm...if it was all beef and cooked well then no problem- also, the sauerkraut shouldn't be an issue. When I was pregnant with Kat I ate tons of Kimchi...and with Aeryn it was tobasco so should be fine. The vinegar may act as a detox tho and flush your body but as it has lasted more than a digestive day I would just guess you picked up a short-term virus? Def call your doc and get some "opinion-fodder" to mull on, that's what I always did I mean hey- we pay those people lol OK. I just looked it up. Saurkraut is fine- in fact, beneficial. It's high in folate plus a binch of other stuff, aids digestion etc. Here's my thought- it's high in sodium which may have (pardon the "term-age" lol) aided in water filling and floating your bowel- which um....yeah. what is Kat into? what were you thinking for a theme? let me know and I'll see what I can come up with! most things are way easier than you'd think when you know some tips and tricks.... I love throwing themed parties but I'm lazy so it has to be relatively easy.... *grin*

The Wee Babe has finally really slept through the night- TWO nights in a row! don't get too excited, though, it simply means at least one solid chunk was 5 hours or more! last night we had a solid go from 11:30 til 4:30 and the night before it was 12 til 6am!!
if this keeps up I will start to feel human during the day again!!
She's started reaching and grabbing for toys, and giving everyone raspberries!! Also, she seems like way more of a mama's girl this week... did that happen with you, too, Coy? The Wee Babe is 3 and 1/2 months now....
