Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Ladies I am feeling bloated, hot, and tired. That's not a pretty image. :haha: I feel like an overcooked hot dog. :haha:

Ice anyone? It's HOT and muggy here :nope:

I hope you found some ice, or opened the freezer and stood in front of it for a while! That is something I love to do when I'm hot and bothered (well not in the good way) :haha:

Well I waited for my office to cool off but it is just barely...so my report will be a few hours late :( Oh well...pregnant lady refuses to type endlessly in 95 degree office- i can see the headline! lol! Anyways... I should be ashamed of myself yet strangley...I am not

I am a little bit ashamed though...for taking a cool shower, donning a sundress, and laying on the couch sipping a very iced sprite while watching Hawaii 5-0 with dh...totally commando :haha: Hey I was HOT okay! :haha: Some items of clothing just get in the way when its so hot  ............

Coy.. I hear you, hopefully you don't get docked for your assignment being late. Do you not have AC in your office? Is your computer a laptop? You could bring it somewhere that is cooler, or get a fan?
Good for you for going commando! It really does feel better to just let the air flow :haha:

Well my computer non-work but important stuff is done. Got the darned refi app completed, scanned and sent so now my loan may go through. Can't wait to start saving about $430 a month!!

Now I'm going to try to sleep , but I'm not sure I'll be able to :nope: kinda feeling wired right now. Might have to go downstairs and get a glass of ice water or something. HMM.. Maybe ice cream? No, no, I don't like eating after 8.. bad Ali :dohh: Water will do.

Night Coy! Morning to those across the pond!

Good night Ali! And nope :nope: no air conditioning, just in the kitchen that flows to the living room. Glad you got your work done... and yes, I will get docked 10% but it was too damned hot! I will finish in the morning and then make up for it with my other assignment. I am naughty arent I? I think you should have a glass of wine :) 'Night!

Morning All, it seems strange saying that, when the last post on here was 30 minutes ago saying goodnight.

Another temp rise today. Did a FRER yesterday and got another BFN, so I'm definitely going to wait until tomorrow now. I'm going to try to make a doctors appointment for next week to get my cycles sorted out. If AF comes, I can keep the appointment, but if I get a BFP, I'll keep it to get it confirmed with the Doc. If I still haven't got a BFP by then, then I'll still keep it to try to find out whats going on.

We actually had a hot day yesterday, which is a rarity at the moment. I walk about 0.5miles to get my tram home and I was roasting when I got to the tram stop. There is one about 5 minutes walk away from work, but I like to take the scenic route through the centre of Nottingham, which isn't really very scenic, but it gives me a bit more exercise. When I got to my car at the other end of the tram journey, it was like an oven.

Coy, I love the name Augusta, I haven't heard of anyone with that name for years, but I do know someone who thought about naming their daughter that and as her parents didn't like it, they ended up calling her August, which I like too. I've decided on names for a boy and a girl. For a boy, I would like to use Hubby's middle name and his brothers first name, so he would be James David. For a girl, I like Scarlet Rose. Don't know where that came from, but its a name I chose a few years ago and we both like it. LOL, it'll probably change when the time comes though.

Ali, glad you are happy about the :witch: showing up, like you said, you can now concentrate on the next cycle.

Alin, yes, it is a countdown to the test as I've now seen a few charts and after 1, it goes to a T. I'm on 1 today, so will test again tomorrow, although I'm still not feeling it. FX for a BFP for you very soon.

I'm still confused with a really bizarre sensation I felt yesterday. You know when you get a flicker in your eye? Well I had that in my left side. You could actually see my side moving. I know its not anything to do with pregnancy, its too far up for a start. It was just really weird. It happened a few times through the day. Yeah, OK, you can say it, I know I'm odd! LOL.

Oh, I forgot to add, I showed Hubby my FF chart yesterday and tried to explain some stuff to him. He said if it is an implantation dip on 8dpo, is that another one on 10dpo. Would that be twins? Hehe.

Of course, it could have still been implanting, which may be why I haven't had a BFP yet.

Ice anyone? It's HOT and muggy here :nope:

It was 106 degrees in Austin, Texas yesterday!!! Forecast says 108 for today...:help:

What we really need is some :rain: to help cool things off here...

Hehe, compare the difference - Texas - 108, Nottinghamshire, UK - 66!!!!!

Not actually sure how warm it feels outside as I'm in an air conditioned office, but it looks nice out of the window. I don't deal with heat very well with being quite largely built, so I'm quite happy as we are really.

Feeling quite sick again this afternoon, just trying to drink plenty of water. I've had a cupasoup for lunch, but thats all I've been able to eat today. Bleuch!!!

How is everyone doing today?

WOW that is HOT! It is blustery here, the outer bands of TS Debby are hitting us on the EAST cost of FL, which is kinda crazy. She better speed up and move east so that she isn't in my way when I try to drive north. Right now she is stalled out in the Gulf and causing a lot of rain to fall in the pan handle and southern Georgia. My grass is so soggy I think it might die from being too wet! It also has this rusty brown stuff in it, that I think might be fungus? UGH. Isn't it funny how some areas are so wet and others are so dry? At least with the clouds and rain it isn't as hot as it normally is here, probably only mid 80s.

Oh my! I hope you get a :bfp: soon :) :) I like the name Scarlet it is very fun!!

Morning everyone!

I am on CD2, nothing to report really other than cramps and TMI.. lots of icky clots yesterday. WOW, and the pain. I was happy to be able to take some aleve yesterday (didn't want to take it until I knew I wasn't pregnant), as I don't think it is on the safe list for drugs you can take when you are pregnant. I have been pretty obsessive about not taking things you aren't supposed to!

I just got off a conference call that was not pleasant. The client is unhappy with us for good reason, but now that we are doing what we can to fix the issue, he seems to be saying too little too late. I'm like, well if you are going to drop us, please drop us now before I do all the work to fix you. :haha: Oh well, its job security right?

I too have been thinking of names, but I can't quite get them to go together, and I'm having trouble with boys names. I have a few names, but I would like to have a few more as I think its good to wait to see your child's face before you give them their name. Just to make sure that the name fits, you know? Like you wouldn't want to call a red head Raven, or Scarlet, but maybe Aiden (which means fiery one), or well you get my drift.

BOYS: Liam, Cameron, Sebastian, Callum, Morgan, Fredrik, Kolton

GIRLS: Imogen, Reece, Amelie, Cameron, Teagan, Morgan, Julianna

Who knows, maybe tomorrow my choices will change again!! Teagan has been at the top of my list for 5 years, as has Cameron (for a boy or girl). So they will probably stay.

I love thinking about baby names!! BF and I have the first girl and first boy picked out already. If we have a boy, it will be after BF Ernest Lee III. If we have a girl it will be a combination of our middle names...Constance Lee (But we will probably spell it "Leigh").

Now, if we could just manage to get a bun in the oven!! :winkwink:

We here in Texas were hoping Debbie would come our way!! Our grass is dying from a drought!!!!

OHH.. I like both! Ernest is a family name my grandfather was Fredrik Ernest, my dad is Gerald Ernest and my brother is Fredrik Stewart. I was thinking about Gerald after my dad, but just couldn't do it. I just don't like the name enough, but I do like my brothers name Fredrik, so he could be Freddie. We'll see, I LOVE how Liam Cameron rolls off the tongue.

OHH.. did I tell you guys that I had a DNA test done? I was adopted and I really had no idea what my ancestry was. I found out that I am 66% British Isles, 28% Scandinavian and 6% unknown (how can you be unknown), anyway after hearing that I am focusing on names that have a British/Irish/Gaelic origin. Hence the name Liam Cameron, it is very Irish! Or for a girl Cameron Amelie (although Amelie is French), or Tegan Alexandra? AHH..

But isn't it fun to think? :haha:

BTW.. I meant to say that I like the name August, it is pretty, although I'm not sure you could find a short name in there? Auggie? IDK..

One of my brother's is name Gerald...:) But I am not THAT fond of the name. I named my son after my other brother, Michael. My son is Hunter Michael.

OHH.. I like Hunter! Very modern, but not too popular.

That is the problem I have with names, you want it to be something that is strong, and yet not too complex, but also not too popular or too boring, and yet you want it to be something you like, and one that has significance in your life somehow. How do you settle on just one?

Have you read the book Freakonomics? https://www.freakonomics.com/books/freakonomics/

There is a chapter in that book on names, and how people choose names, and predictions on what the future popular names will be. It is pretty cool! Definitely worth a read if you are looking for baby names.

I like names that can't be shortened. I hate it how people, even people who don't know me shorten mine to Trace. I hate it. My name has a Y on the end!!!! LOL. My Hubby thought about Scarlet being shortened to Scar and didn't think he'd like that, but I don't think people would shorten it.

well i am running out of boys names with haveing 5 boys i have

joshua kyle
luke alexander
charlie adam
samuel jacob
mikey john james alan

hubby wanted amadeus

for a girl i want either libby louisa mai or louisa mai

Really? I kind of like having the option of being Alexandra, Ali, or Alex, or some even call me Lexi. It is fun to try on different personas with the same name. I find Alexandra formal, and only use that when I'm in business situations and/or signing things where it is important for people to know I'm female. Ali is playful and fun, and I like it for being short and sweet, same goes for Alex although I don't like it as much. Lexi, well that one just makes me feel sexy and alluring, and it works when I'm in that kind of mood. It is funny though, my first name is Catherine, and I really hate being called that! It doesn't resonate with me, I think people are calling my Mom, not me! :haha:

See with the name Teagan, I would call her Tea, or 'T'. But if my child was Cameron, I wouldn't want to shorten it at all, I don't like Cam or Cammie at all. So I guess for me it depends on the name, and the available short forms.

It is always so fun to hear everyone's favorites, and choices they make, plus with people in different countries it is interesting to find out what names are popular in different parts of the world!

Terri- sounds like a bfp to me! Fx'd and can't wait for you to trest again with an early result test! :) Your weather sounds awwweeeosmmme!

Jess- 108 sucks, sorry! You can keep Texas all to yourself for now, lol! It gets in the upper 90's here and that's all the heat I want...I don't even want that :haha: Right now at 11 a.m. it is perfect in my office....breezy, shady, cool...but I know it's going to be hot again today as my eastward facing kitchen is a blister waiting to happen :( Beats winter drabs though! Thanks so much for the work-out tips! :happydance: I love it, maintenance without worrying about ripping anything....that's the only thing in pregnancy- hormones work against you as far as strength training because (is it progesterone or prolactin? I think prolactin) makes our muscles forcibly relax..Oh yeah- Hunter Michael is such a bada$$ name-- I love it!

Ali- hope the storm doesn't get in your way and you are able to travel soon! Sounds like a doozy. Re: The name Teagen....can be boy or girl. In Welsh it means beautiful (ok, they say pretty but I say beautiful. Therefore- beutiful :haha:) and in Irish Gaelic it means Young Poet. SO- I love it. We named our first dd Teagen Trinity :) And not sure we would try to shorten Augusta as dh and I agree we don't care for "Auggie" much...but have agreed Alex would be her shortened name (from Alexandria). Dh likes the "ria" at end of her name, as he states "It sounds finished and not frilly".. Ok. :haha:

Alin- FIVE BOYS!!??!! R U serious! lol- gl finding a name for the next one :haha: That's totally awesome, my hat is off toy ou!

Hi to all the rest of the ladies! :hi:

AFM- my first name is Larenda and I absolutely hate it and have never been called that...it has always been Coy or just plain annoying nicknames my parents threw at me. My brother, for some inexplicable reason, always called me Paddy  weirdo brother......

My prevert neighbor keeps strutting around near our adjacent fence with his shirt off. Should I tell him it is a disservcie to women, or should I just leave it alone? :haha: He only comes out when our little girls play in the yard and he crouches behind the bushes and watches them  Only our little Boston Terrier very loudly rats him out to the neighborhood with her "PERVERT" bark :) and he always goes running into his house...creep. He even threw fireworks at her once, but that just made her hate him and watch for him all the more
