Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Jess- we posted at near the same time so I missed this one! lol

I checkout out your chart and I think you are smack on about your Ov dates...FF is not perfect and very often gets confused. Hell, here I am ready to deliver any day and it never did accept my bfp! I tried every which way but it kept me listed at ... weirdness, I guess. Since I was prego I gave up charting (but will start again for the record after babes is born ). Your body doesn't lie- if you were getting EWCM on cd12'ish then that was the perfect time for bd'ing  And, with that in mind, and judging from your amazing temp spike  this could be a great bfp month for you Jess! :happydance: I am totally going to keep watching this chart! :haha: I know you had high temps the firts month you charted but I don't remember how long they lasted. And last month you never reached 98.0 ata ll....so I have my fx'd for you! even though I charted on FF and used opk's I generally pounced on dh whenever I noticed ewcm as that's your body telling you now's the time. So don't sweat it! I think Ali is right and you timed perfectly :hugs:

Ooooh, Ali--stuffy nose? Hot and cold flashes? Headache? I had all of those symptoms with early pregnancy! :happydance: Who is to say when they start as far as dpo as every woman is different. Got my fx'd for you lady!

Yuk on being on call, but that beats having to drive to work in the rain! Stay under your covers if you can. I saw the movie "What To Excpect When You're Expecting" for sale and wondered about it...maybe I'll rent it :haha:

So I can't decide, should I shower and brave the outdoors? Or stay in and watch another movie. HMM.
It has stopped raining and I have $20 kohls cash burning a hole in my pocket. But I am on call and if I leave I will have to answer my phone in public and its on its last legs, I can barely used it sufficiently as a phone now. I really do have to go out and get a few things: baby aspirin (I'm out), tylenol since I can only take it for my headaches, etc, and I want some tea (caffeine free). I haven't had any tea in over a week and I'm totally jonesing! :haha: HMM.. and maybe something sweet? I was thinking I could make blondies? They are just like brownines but well blonde! No chocolate in them.
OK that settles it. I'm going to jump in the shower and run (speed of light) to the grocery store, get the necessities and save the kohls cash until tomorrow when I can go shopping at my leisure. WOOHOO :wohoo: I have a plan!

Mmmm blondies sound good! But no running [-X!! Running is bouncy and we don't want to knock anything loose! :haha: Walk slowly and succinctly (yes, it is possible to walk succinctly) :haha: but maybe drive fast :)OH! Btw- on the tea...be very careful! I am not sure what kind of tea you were planning on drinking but it's such a damned nightmare to shop when you are prego I gave up  Here's a few tips I remember: Hibiscus is evil for pregnant ladies and almost everything has Hibiscus in it so double check. Green tea while being caffeine free has something in it (I forget at the moment) that they say may or may not cause mc's so I avoided it like the plague too. Pretty much I got down to Nesquick :nope: But at least that is hot and somewhat chocolatey! Sorry to be a downer :( but I want you to be uber careful! :hugs: Hmm...maybe like a lemon tea or something? Even the herbals have tons of hibisucs in them, and raspberry is bad too in early pregnancy...from what I remember...On that note- what did your doc say about baby aspirin at this stage? Should you avoid it to prevent Reyes Syndrome?

HEHE! I got another call.. I think I'll wait until evening before going out.
I was just going to get decaf regular tea, and yes! I'm still supposed to be taking baby aspirin! They made a point of telling me to take it until they say otherwise.

:cry::cry: I think I'm out this month. The cramps I've been having the past couple of hours feel just like AF. It just doesn't feel any different. Strange thing is that its too early for AF, I'm only 8DPO, so these cramps shouldn't be happening for another 4 days or so.

Here- I looked some stuff up online in hopes to ease your AF fears! I honestly do not think it is AF as 1) too early (like- waaay too early) and 2) you're looking for it :) Read this- especially the bold print :hugs:

"Every woman is different. So are her experiences of pregnancy. Not every woman has the same symptoms or even the same symptoms from one pregnancy to the next.

Also, because the early symptoms of pregnancy are often like what happens right before and during menstruation, those symptoms aren't always recognized.

A few days after conception, the fertilized egg attaches itself to wall of the uterus. This can cause one of the earliest signs of pregnancy -- spotting and, sometimes, cramping.

That's called implantation bleeding. It occurs anywhere from six to 12 days after the egg is fertilized.

Besides bleeding, a woman may notice a white, milky discharge from her vagina. That's related to the thickening of the vagina's walls, which starts almost immediately after conception. The increased growth of cells lining the vagina causes the discharge."

Soooo, I would say this is a very positive sign you may be prgnant :happydance: Don't worry that it is AF. Your odds of being pregnant are very high this month, try to relax (naturally, no wine :growlmad: lol!) and keep in touch- it is this awful tww that makes bnb sooo awesome!

...Awww......:sadangel:...where is everyone?.....:sad2:

Morning sunshine! Sounds like you have gotten everything done just in the nick of time! I bet you go sometime next week, maybe the 30th. How tall are you? Your weight fully prego is amazing! How are you feeling?

Ummm, 5'11". JK! :haha: I am a very short 5'5 :( lol! I just feel fatty atm because uterus is pressing into everything and it feels like I can't get breath!

The biking sounds so fun, I am jealous! I love biking but mostly on free easy space, just cruising, you know? I grew up where there were no roads and I absolutely got my fill of rough terrain

Okkkaaayyy, I have cleaned the livng room fireplace, vacuumed the house, washed dishes, went shopping (twice) cooked lunch and dinner ahead of time, picked up medicine for everyone (allergies), had a snack, window shopped....now I am sitting at the computer procrastinating my Individual Final assignment in college! I better get busy :)

WOW, I've put out 2 work fires, answered 4 support calls, watched 1.5 movies, napped and surfed the web! I fear I missed my window for getting out and doing my errands without being rained on. It is now raining again :( I really just need to get the baby aspirin. I'll run and do that in a little bit. Right now I have to finish with the second work issue. No fun!

I did read your comments about the cramping, and maybe it is implantation. I was thinking that too. I guess we just have to wait! :coffee:

Thank you Ali and Coy for your reassuring words. We shall see, huh? I got into a disagreement with my BF about the gym today. Then I got all emotional, weepy...you know the routine. Cried a bit... but we made up...now I have a headache AND I still have to work on my paper... Sigh...

You know, that is kind of how I feel too! Emotional, weepy and a bit of a headache! That and cramps. Plus I'm stuck working. BLAH.

I'm working too...just on school stuff as opposed to my profession...we are in this together!! Lol! I feel better already just knowing I have your support...:hugs:

I don't want the headache but can I be emotional and weepy with you both? LOL! Aargh, that's how I feel anyways...Oh, and Jess, I am sitting here eating ice cream :haha:

Jess- does your BF not want you working out today? That's okay, that just means he loves you :hugs: Maybe you are prego and getting hormonal! Either way working on the thesis sounds sucky right now...I am trying to work on my final assignment too and seriously not into it...It's not officially due until Monday but I am starting to get nervous about babes being born early (dialating already, 75% effaced, and noticing tons of thick heavy cm...all positive signs...) and I absolutely will not let myself fail a course so there'd I'd be all amidst contractions trying to write my paper! Did that with a major tooth infection once, puking up hydrocodone and passing out but typing away! :haha:

Coy! I am soooooo jealous! I want ice cream! On our refrigerator we have a grease board that we write our grocery list on. On one side is the "real list" and on the other side is the "wish list." Ice cream is absolutely on my wish list. I will have some on three weeks and I will be on :cloud9:...:winkwink:

About the gym, my BF was irritated that I was talking so much and not finishing my workout. He was ready to go. But it wasn't my fault that everyone coming in today wanted to talk to me. By the way, I REALLY DO talk A LOT!!

But we  and made up...

Oh, and that is a great visual, with you in labor pushing in between typing out your assignment!!

Hey, I could do it :smug:...LOL! That's why I am so uptight about finishing early...I have the oddest sense lately, plus this very heavy feeling in the cervix, I think I am just dialating pretty quickly. I hope she doesn't come before MOnday though as my doc is out of town until then. His wife is a MW and works ina different city. One of her mothers is being induced so she is "camping out" in that city and so my doc is spending the weekend out with her. He told me to call if I go into labor but that's a hour and twenty drive! I'd prob be done by then :haha:
re:talking too much  I have been guilty of that too. My 7 year old has a serious problem talking too much :haha: Ah well, what can we do?

I was a little freaked out that FF moved my oveulation day. So I just did some research (instead of working on my thesis! :haha:). And this is what I found!! It is regarding Triphasic Charts...Made me feel hopeful since I have never had one! ...

With a triphasic BBT chart pattern, there is a third, sustained upward shift in temperature, usually occurring around 9 days post-ovulation.

Since progesterone is the hormone that causes the upward shift in temperature at ovulation, the theory is that increased progesterone from pregnancy might cause another upward shift in temperature.

Is a Triphasic Chart a Reliable Early Pregnancy Sign?

FertilityFriend.com, a free fertility charting online software company, did an informal analysis of the BBT charts on their site, to see if a triphasic pattern might indicate pregnancy. This was by no means a scientific study, but the results are still interesting to consider.

In their informal analysis, they considered a triphasic pattern to be a second, significant upward shift in temperature of at least 0.3 F, occurring at least 7 days after ovulation.

After analyzing almost 150,000 BBT charts, they found that 12% of all pregnancy charts showed a triphasic pattern. When looking at non-pregnancy charts, they found that only 5% of charts showed a triphasic pattern. So, based on this data, you have about three times more of a chance of being pregnant with a triphastic chart, than without.

The Bottom Line
Having a triphasic pattern on your BBT chart does not guarantee that you’re pregnant, but it does seem to be a good sign. However, it’s important to remember that some women show triphasic charts and are not pregnant. I have a friend whose BBT chart shows a triphasic pattern quite often, and she has not gotten pregnant.

It’s also important to remember that the greater majority of BBT charts do not show a triphasic pattern. So if you don’t see this third temperature shift on your BBT chart, you shouldn’t take that as a sign that you’re not pregnant.

Ah! So that is a great possibility then, 12% may not seem like a staggering number but compared to only5% then yeah ... Not sure I ever had a triphasic chart, but I was loking at your temps and it looks awesome! Have you decided if or when you will test??

Oh, and I research other stuff (plus write on bnb) all the time when I am working on my assignments. Helps my mind to go into it's multi-tasking mode and I think better :haha:

Ali- are you back yet? Did you get Jess' ice cream ?! :haha:

LOL, I haven't left yet! That movie, the 5 year engagement took me like 4 hours to watch! Geesh! It didn't help that I got interrupted about 5 times, kind of like their engagement. LOL! :haha:

I am going to go now.. doubt I'll pick up any ice cream, but my favorite is Publix brand ice cream. It is fantabulous. So yummy! It is the store brand, but by far the best. It is not too sweet, and they have so many cool flavors. Even some lower fat options of frozen yogurt too. They are the bomb!

So that is where I'm heading now.. :icecream: does sound good! Especially if I put it on top of my blondie!
