Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

I didn't know caffeine would do that either ! LOL And yes, 9+ months prego and chopping wood can be pretty darn funny! Bending over is the hard part...

I think God MUST love me! :haha: That or I am an awesome shopper...here I am on a budget and I go to the bakery and there is a huge bag of twisted knot rolls for $1.99...with a $2.00 coupon stuck on it  So they paid me a penny to buy bread.....:happydance:

Ali- Thank you! I appreciate your frustration, believe me! It helps to spread it around, lol!

Yes, I have been trying to include them but I have to be careful...I let them help fold but then th elittle one thinks she can get BACK intot he drawers and redo evrything...which means I get to redo it later

We all went out and cut fireplace wood, the dd's loved it as dh let them help with the logsplitter. They cleaned up all their toys and stacked everything so it is not lost once it snows. Drained all the hoses for winter, put stuff away... Now we are going to take a walk to the store for gatorade :haha:

I did feel a few cramping pains that got me all hopeful but they went away  My next appointment is day after tomorrow - I honestly didn't think she'd go overdue so I am seriously frustrated at this point :haha: Wonder what my doc will say......

So you start your new cycle on the 9th of November? Is that stilla go or did they change the dates? Yikes! How soon do you need the :spermy: ??

Yep.. send your frustration to us! We can help you with it.. I'm sure you have more than enough to go around :growlmad: Right? UGH. I can't believe you went over either. Totally crazy. I guess as long as mom and baby are healthy, then you just keep waiting. Do you feel her punching your spleen or stomach, or well anything she feels like kicking? She must be getting really good at that by now. :argh:

I just called over to the IVF Meds people in England and told them that I will NOT be paying for their expedited shipping, they have had a month to deliver the meds, and they have still not shipped them! It is not my fault they can't get their you know what together to ship me the meds by the time I need them. I will call them every day this week if I have to, to remind them that my meds MUST be shipped by FRIDAY. I also called to the US company that is shipping my other items and they are on board to ship them for delivery to my FS on 11/1/2012. So the plan is to have all my meds at the FS by 11/1/2012, I really only need the drugs from the US company by 11/7/2012 when I go in to have the trial transfer, and if all goes well, and there aren't any issues on the ultrasound, then yes I start Lupron on 11/9/2012. The IFV meds (from England) don't need to be shipped by Friday in reality, but I want them here on time BEFORE I need them! AHHHHHH. They were like, well we can add on priority shipping for an additional $89. I'm like oh no you won't.. you have had over a month to ship me the meds, and have not done so. So if it needs to be expedited, then you can pay for the expedited shipping.

Important dates:

11/7/2012: trial transfer
11/9/2012: start lupron
11/13/2012: stop birth control pills (YAYAYAYAY)
11/26/2012: start stimulating
12/7/2012 - 12/15/2012: egg retrieval and embryo transfer
12/25/2012: Christmas and hopefully the celebration of a :bfp:

Ali- seems like you asked this earlier and I forgot to answer. I am not telling my folks about the baby yet. i mean seriously, my mom is not normal...she's actually mean! :haha: When I was little she told me I was an accident and messed things up for her because she already had her "one boy and one girl" and she was happy with that. She spent my entire childhood making me realize that fact. Now she wants to pass that crap on to my dd's and dh and I won't let her. So she may find out eventually but for right now I am loving just letting the people I love and that care for me know :hugs: You ladies are such a blessing to me, I hope you all realize how much! :hugs:

WOW.. not only free bread, but they paid you to take it off their hands! That is way cool!!!

I don't even want to see the image I am conjuring of you chopping wood! That just sounds over the top! Hopefully everyone survived, and you are all going inside to light a fire and keep warm!

BTW.. good to hear the kids cleaned up their toys so they wouldn't lose them in the snow.

Awesome! Btw-- what is a trial transfer? And I agree with you- no way should you get charged for extra shipping! They need to get their butts in gear and get it done. This is how they make money though, right?!

Yep we survived! Alot of whining on T's part (she's going through a lazy streak) like "how come you get to do easy stuff like chopping wood and packing blocks -" easy?! -"and I have to do hard stuff like picking up my toys?!" lol!
Just now we got back from the store and she tells me "we have to walk over again because I think I lost that bambi toy...." Ah. The old antique bambi toy you were told to leave home, in the house, and not take with you? That one?. Ah. :haha: KIDS!

I totally understand. Some things should just remain private. I'm sure your parents will eventually find out, but if they don't have anything positive to contribute to you and your girls, then I am with you.. You and your girls don't need the extra stress of being chastised or told that you are less than the wonderful people you are. So I am 100% behind your decision.

My reason for keeping my TTC off of Facebook is due to the gossip mill. If my cousins or my aunts or someone outside of my immediate family were to find out, you can just imagine the rumors and gossip that would start flowing. I don't need distant relatives asking me about my IVF and asking personal questions. It is none of their bees-wax!!! When I do get pregnant, I will share my joy with the world, and they can gossip then, but I'm going to be very tight-lipped with whom I share the details of how this miracle happened. Again, they don't need to know that I used a sperm donor and did IVF. I'm sure they will dream up all sorts of sordid details, like I was part of a sex ring in FL, and the condom ripped and I ended up getting knocked up, and I have no idea who the father was because it could be one of 100 men! :haha: now wouldn't that be a story! AHHH HAHAHA..

So what are you going to do? Walk back or make her understand that there are consequences? HMM.. That is a difficult one.

Trial transfer is where they pretend to put the embryos back. Basically they want to make sure that they can put the catheter up into my uterus without any added stress. They weren't able to do this the first time, which is why I had to have the dialation surgery. So they want to do it again to make sure they can still reach the uterus. If they cant, they'll have to do the dilation surgery AGAIN. He said this time he can do it in his office. So that is better than having to be at the outpatient surgery center!

AHHH HAHAHA..

Sex ring in FL?! OMG! YES! That is exactly what I was accused of- by my mom none the less! Only it was Salt Lake City Ut...I was in an abusive relationship for a few months (he liked to hit women ) then I got my stuff together and got out of it...then met my wonderful dh and we got married. My mom told everyone in our family (from Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Washington, Alaska, Canada (yep- we got folks fromt here too :) ), Colorado--all the heck over the place, that "Coy was a prostitute in UT and got knocked up. Her dh found her that way and 'saved her' from the life of sin. Unfortunately for him she was already pregnant but he's soooooo wonderful to put up with her." Funny thing is we got married and 3 months later I got pregnant. And I wasn't prostituting! :growlmad: lol, I was a floor director for CBS television for crying out loud! They didn't believe I could have a good job though I guess  Anyway I totally understand about the gossip bit and how some people can be. My mom actually told dh to divorce me and marry her "good" daughter :haha:

Wait til you get your :bfp: Ali- then they'll talk :haha: You can tell them the father is some amazing unnattainable guy....like Bono or something...:haha:

Ah, now I understand the trial transfer business...very smart to check that out ahead of time! Everything with getting a bfp is so time sensative, I really appreciate a doctor that thinks ahead! Is it painful? I hope not! Anything with "catheter" in it sounds painful...as far as getting your meds, I don;t blame you for wanting them ahead of time! Don't these companies know time is very important? I think they must, then they try to charge you for it

Re: Bambi. No, I walked back over our steps but couldn't find it. When I d=got home dh said he found it.....in T's pocket! :growlmad: And yes- consequences. I let dh handle that part :haha: Let him be the "meany" for a while

Sounds like your Mom is a piece of work, and not worth the effort.. good on you and your DH for protecting your children from that. When they are older, they can meet them and make their own decisions, but for now you are right in protecting them!! She sounds like a lunatic!

Well it isn't all that fun! Shoving a catheter up there! NOPE :nope: Last time they didn't make it, and so I had the dilation (and I was asleep for that). So I really don't know how bad it is? When they did the real thing it was not too horrible, but I was on valium! So I'm not sure how it will go this time. It is a critical step in IVF, because if they can't get the tube up there, then they can't deliver the embryos! They also have to make sure it is a perfect transfer, if they jostle the catheter while putting the embryos back they can cause a spasm of the uterus which could cause the embryos to not implant. So the trial and then the real transfer have to be perfect. People have no idea how complicated IVF really is. It is insane how everything has to be precise, and if it isn't the entire cycle can fail. Like having bad sperm. :growlmad:

Ali- wow, it is really a complicated process. They will prob give you the Valium again, if not- I would request it! :haha: I really don't think they should have to do the dilation surgery all over again but I am not too clear on that proces. I am going to research it though just so I understand better.

How was the beef burgundy? Have some nice red wine with that? I would have........

Well, I think I'll take the truck to the store, buy our drinking water (not carrying THAT back!) and milk for the dd's. Then I am contemplating taking a bath as my hips are...well, you all know! I'm SUCH a complainer! :haha: Then...dinner.

You know it's weird...Some doctors (if they are men) think women enjoy junk like this. Like when I had to be examined during my mc in November. I was experiencing labor-like contractions- very painful- and hemorhaging (sp) and when the dumb male doctor got the speculum in UPSIDE DOWN (wtf?!) he yanked it out at my protests and demanded with hands on hips "Well you're just miserable down there aren't you?" :saywhat: down there ? down there ? Aaaargh!

Oh, I had a male OB/GYN once who really hacked me off. He came in the room, gave me a robe and told me to get naked so he could embarrass the hell out of me. Really??? :growlmad: Then when my 70 year old aunt went in for her yearly exam, he told her to "spread 'em". :grr::grr: Needless to say, I never went back to him. But I also found out that he used his teenage daughter (I worked with her for a short time) as a guinea pig with different types of BC pills to see how they would effect her. :saywhat:

Beef burgundy was good. I will have some more tonight. YUM! No :wine: though, I'm trying to be good and not drink at all. Figure I'm not missing it, so I may as well keep it out of my diet. I will miss it at Christmas time though.

When he did the dilation surgery in late August, early Sept, he said it would last for 3 months. So that is why I'm concerned that the dilation surgery won't last. We'll see, that is why they do the trial transfer! Make sure everything is ready for when they do the real thing :)

TwoToGo- R U serious? O my heck, I would never go back to that guy either! My doctor is pretty sensative and understanding. I am very old fashioned and modest so these weekly cervical exams are torture for me. Poor guy  Everytime I lay back covered up by my big paper napkin (you all know the drill ) and my knees have to be bent up, right? Well, he always has to start at my knees with his gloved-hand wedged tightly...then he starts to chisel his way down :dohh:  lol! I can't "spread'em" at all  Ah, heck, it is hard being a woman sometimes! Thank goodness my dh doesn't mind coming in the room with me :)

Ali- good for you waiting on the wine! I don't drink either, I haven't had wine (or anything alcoholic) since.....like July of 2011? I guess? So I don't miss it either. I do crave cold beer in late pregnancy though...dh and I agree it is my naughty body wanting to pack on the carbs! :haha:

Well, put T to school, then Kat and I went for a drive in the "storm". Blowing hard wind and driving rain- she loved it! We got our drinking water and stuff for dinner for afew days. Hey, I got lucky though and appprently cooked enough dinner last night dh suggested we eat leftovers :saywhat: OK! I am easy! I don't mind not cooking :haha: I think I'll relax in the bath for once! :cloud9: when it's not past midnight......
