Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Ali- lol, yes I saw the ticker! It's funny considering....I wonder when she'll decide to come out? I had this frustration with Kat too  Aaargh! I can't wait for the doc appointment tomorrow...I am dreading the weight scale however, just don't want to see that "150" iykwim...Guess at this point it doesn't matter too much. I don't really think it's what I'm eating. All I had yesterday was a couple peices of bread basically and today- well ok, I had toast and a chocolate chip cookie :haha: Not good for me. Ah, but I did finally eat a peice of two day old chicken breast.....

I am just sooo ready to have this baby out!

How late was Kat? I wouldn't even look at the scale, it is all baby at this point.. don't they say that in the last month the baby gains a pound a week? If she is late, then perhaps even more?

Kat was like...10 days late :sad1: I sure hope we don't have to go that long this time! And wow, I hope babes is not getting toooo big! I gotta squeeze that out :haha: I am going to go for another walk now, maybe that will help.

I'm sure your Dr is able to estimate her current size. I know my other friends that were pregnant were told that. Actually that is one of the reasons they did decide to induce, because waiting another week was going to put the baby into the 9-10lb range. I'd ask your Dr about that tomorrow. You said that your other DD's were small, so I doubt you will have to worry about that, but still, I would ask!

Yes, I will ask...also I am worried because if you go a week or so past due date the baby can start to suffer from lack of sufficient oxygen nutrients, etc....I may ask for a heart monitoring for an hour or so to make sure she is okay in there.

As for now- I am off on a walk and the dd's are out getting wet again :growlmad:

Good plan, I know my cousin was 2 weeks late! He was very happy in there. Then again that was 28 years ago when he was born. I'm not sure they really want to let you go that long anymore. I guess your Dr will discuss your options tomorrow. Hurry up babes!

Hey guys, I am so seriously tired tonight! I'm in bed and will probably be asleep soon. Last night I fell asleep from 7pm until 8:30 pm and then woke up and was back to sleep by 10:30, and oh yeah, I took a nap yesterday afternoon too! Well, maybe a :bfp: is in my future:) I don't think it's the lack of caffeine anymore b/c I was doing okay without it. We will wait and see:winkwink:

Anyone watch "don't trust the B in apartment 23" and/or "Happy Endings"??? So funny!!!...they return tonight! But I don't guess I will be able to stay awake for them :haha:

Babywhisperer, we are the same days past O! I think I'm actually 6 or 7dpo but my chart says 5dpo so I will go with it:) Also, we live near eachother...I'm bridge and tunnel:haha: I live in Jersey:winkwink:

That is awesome! I lived in the city for 10yrs and moved back to LI a year ago...so I am back to being bridge and tunnel too. I miss my 20 block commute!!! I am 5dpo too, but feel less b/c I had some ovu cramping on Sunday. We'll see. I still have really creamy cm so I think I might be less. Af is due Nov 1, but I usually spot the day before...I hope the witch stays away on Halloween!!! Fx'd for us bridge and tunnel girls! Btw, where in NJ? My cousins are in Short Hills, Chatam and Summit, and my brother is in Howell.

TerriLou- MEN!:growlmad: They always conveniently forget stuff like that :haha: Hey, it's not easy for us either-getting poked and prodded and asked embarrassing questions- and sometimes getting cranked open with a speculum and swabbed  Sheesh! The least they could do....LOL! Glad he did speak to the doctor about it though, kudos! Hey, as anyone given any research to any kind of correlation between deep diving and male fertility??? I'm gonna look into it just out of curiosity...P.S. Go ahead and shout!

Babydust- yes I felt odd but- nope, no baby yet! And your temps look awesome btw! I checked out your chart, looks perfect for 5dpo...bfp maybe?  Not sure why all your signs are not showing up--as I mentioned I had a limited package with FF too so... We need advice! :haha:

Ali- how are you today? Hope you are kicking the "worn out" feeling from that flu. Are you working in home today?

Jess- where are you?

Alin, Babywhisperer, TwoToGo- :hi: :hugs: :bunny:

AFM-
Well, I am officially 4 days over-due :growlmad: lol! Awww well, what is a girl to do, right? I slept ok last night and feel somewhat more rested today...and oddest thing is my hips are sore but not just killing me. Not sure if I should attribute that to all the activity and walking yesterday or maybe barometric pressure changes with the cold and snow?.Or...could I be regressing? :help: Nnnnoooo! :haha:

Hehe, Coy, funny you should ask, but I did some research on scuba diving while TTC. Apparently for men, it doesn't really make a difference, except mainly that they tend to make boys. Not sure why, didn't really get much of an explanation and no scientific reason, just thats what seems to be the case.

I'm feeling really down today and because of that, on my way home from work, I went in to Tesco and bought loads of rubbish and ate it in the car. Grrrrrrr! Why do I do this to myself? Why can't I have another type of eating disorder, rather than one that makes me too fat and causes problems????

:hugs: Terri :hugs: I understand the feeling, but I do want to share that I have run the gammut of eating disorders, and anorexia and bulimia are not the route to go. Those were the ones that almost killed me. On the bright side, the FertiliTea gave me extra energy, and when I added CoQ10 to the mix I had a LOT of energy and lost some weight because I was so active (note to self: start taking CoQ10 again :haha:).

AFM - TMI, but I have had a weird few days. I have had EWCM for almost 5 days, which is unheard of for me. I know that I O'd yesterday morning as I was working with DD in math when I had 'double me over' O pains and I cried out. She wanted to know what was wrong. Didn't explain that one. :haha: Anyway, today I am still having EWCM and I had a tinge of blood in it at lunch time. I have never had spotting while ovulating, but I would have figured that I would have had it yesterday and not had any EWCM today. Could I have possibly O'd twice? I have also broken out like a teenager. That's okay. I'm just thankful that my body is working the way it is supposed to.

So much for rest and relaxation tonight! Lol! As I never made it in to soak last night I thought- well, kids are getting ready for bed, dh is getting ready for bed...I think I'll sneak off and soak. Then dh's glucose dropped to 50'ish  so had to pump orange juice into him....and Teagen comes and says "my throat is sore" :dohh: and dh looks and there are these huge whitish looking scabs type things in her throat. She says its not bad but it's been sore for 3 days. :growlmad: She knows to tell us- I wonder why she didn't?! I think because she knew I wouldn't let her play out in the wet snow all day! So we talked to an RN who hazarded strep throat but her fever is only 99.0  so maybe viral? Wonder why Kat doesn't have it  Anyway, Advil for her and a doc visit tomorrow to see what it is... and sanitized the whole house and Lysoled everything  then I vacuumed, washed dishes, I still have clothees to wash ... but dd's are asleep, so think I might get that soak in anyway! :haha: Streeeeesssss..........

Yay for bridge and tunnel!!!!:) :haha: I live in Sparta which is nw Jersey in Sussex county. I worked in Short Hills (Short Hills Mall) for 8 years so I know that whole area very well. My CM has been very sticky but I hear that Creamy is more of a sign of BFP!!! So fx'd for Halloween :bfp:

Morning Ladies,

Not much to say here, still waiting :coffee: until I can start my next cycle. I just realized that I have to wait 2 months to see if it worked! :argh: That is a LONG time.

I'm still not bouncing back, and am wondering if I have a lingering sinus infection or something. I don't have the pain, but I'm still quite stuffed up and congested. I have always been prone to them, but I have been way better since I moved to FL. More moist here than Denver where I had sinus infections the entire winter. I think I'll take some Mucinex today, and now that I have my DL back, I will get some Mucinex D at the store this evening.

Did I tell you where I found my DL? Yes, as soon as I ordered a new one, the one I lost re-appeared. It was mixed up with the Emergen-C packets I had, and when I was leaving work (in my fever induced delirium) I put it in my desk drawer! So when I got better and went back into the office, there it was! OOPS. That was a $25 mistake.

So I'm sitting here at home, working. Looking out the window at the strange looking clouds and the palm trees blowing softly in the wind. It isn't a bad day here, but I fear it is going to get progressively worse. There is a tropical storm bearing down on us. It is supposed to go east of us, but still hit us with high winds and rain on Thursday/Friday. I bet I will be working from home the rest of the week. Today and tomorrow because I have super long work days, and Friday will be due to the storm. They will probably close the office and have us work remotely.

Sorry you are still not feeling well:( Can they call in a z pack for you? I get chronic sinus infections and they are miserable!

Okay, please keep me posted on what you hear about the Tropical Storm cuz my dh is in the Dominican right now and it is hitting them now. He said it's just a lot of rain and mild wind but this just freaks me out. All I can think is Tsunami and that I will end up a widow:wacko: ~ yeah, I'm going to the worst possible scenario on this:haha:

Hope you are feeling better!

Hey ladies! So my temps are still looking good. I've had crazy fatigue, sticky cm, and I am very bloated. What is strange about the bloating is that I have been eating no carbs (YES NONE!) and I normally have a very flat stomach until a couple days before AF. I do remember being very bloated with my ds before I got my bfp. So I do have some symptoms...but of course only time will tell...

This is interesting too...So have any of you ever had a panic attack?? If you have had one, you know that it is a feeling of impending doom that comes on suddenly and starts out mild and progressively (over the space of a few minutes) just gets worse and worse until you literally feel like you are going to die. Anyway, I had them as a teenager and in college probably due to the fact that I lost my dad to cancer when I was 9yo. I learned to work through them and then after college never had them again. UNTIL I was pretty much 9 months pg with my ds, I started getting them again. My trigger was always the shower oddly enough. So anyway, I would be taking a shower and suddenly feel the panic attack coming on and would have to get out of the shower immediately. As soon as I got out, it would start to go away. IKNOW it sounds seriously WACKO!!! And I'm really not...in fact I never told anyone about them until I was much older. Okay long story short...I started getting one the other day as I was getting out of the shower! I have wondered if there is a hormonal component since I had them when pg with ds...have not had one in 5 years...until the other day...SO maybe :bfp:???????????????

Hi Ladies. I am a newbee, joined today. TTC for 18 months. I just turned 40 and I have an 8 year old son with previous relationship & hubby has 3 from previous. We've been married for 2 years. Hubby has good sperm count and I have unexplained infertility.

I am on my second round of clomid 100mg 2-6...the first round last month I was on 50mg 2-6. I honestly didnt know what to expect. I was bad tempered (poor hubby), felt faint, dizzy, nausea & to top things up went for a scan on CD12 and no follicles, didnt O & AF appeared :nope: so doctor put dose up this month, yay.

No major side effects this time round except HOT FLUSHES. OMG, I had to rip my hair extensions off as I was dripping in sweat Lol! Scan on CD14 showed one follicle on left. Nurse couldnt find right ovary & pretty much said to go home & "get busy" as looked like I will be ovulating in the next few days.

Today is CD16 & I have had the worst O pains. My right side is the worst. Worse than period pain. Is this normal? Intercourse was very painful. Not sure how we are supposed to get busy with this much pain  It feels like my lower abdomen is about to explode. Anyone know what's going on?:sad2:

The storm isn't going to hit the Dominican directly, but they will get wind and rain as they are on the strong side of the storm. They are to the east of the storm. Don't worry, I'm sure he will be fine.

I've had panic attacks in the past, mine started after I was unemployed for a year, and being unemployed for that long took its toll on my self confidence and with bills and mortgages and all sorts of other stresses, I just collapsed. I don't have any experience or knowledge of them occurring due to hormones, but it sounds possible. How many DPO are you? Have you tested yet?

Welcome!!! It's a great group! I always get bad O pains and yes the thought of bd'ing is the LAST thing I want to do! Take some motrin though and YES get to work!!! :haha: This is a good sign that you are ovulating so you must bd:thumbup:

Welcome! Yes, I agree with BabyDust, you are ovulating!! The pain is often worse after meds, especially clomid. I had the same thing when I took clomid. So take some motrin or tylenol and get busy!! :haha:

Thank you for the info!! That puts me at ease! FF says I'm 6dpo but I really think I'm 7 or 8dpo. I will test maybe at 10 dpo with frer :) Isn't it amazing what stress can do to the mind when we don't even know it's happening??? So bizarre. Glad you have gotten through that stressful time!

Yep! I know how you are feeling though, and I'm sure it doesn't hurt with DH away with a TS nearby! GEESH! Just try to relax, and get through the next few days. Not sure if you were around during the end of my last IVF cycle (I was anything but calm)!! So I know it is easier said than done!

Coy got her BFP with a FRER around 11 DPO I believe, maybe it was sooner? I've never had a BFP, so I really don't know :( I am hoping and praying that you and BabyWhisperer get a BFP this month, and then when I do my next IVF cycle in Nov/Dec I get one too! :happydance: If you can hold out then, I would hold out testing until 10-11DPO with your count, and then if that doesn't work, then wait until FF says you are 10-11 DPO and try again.

We need some more BFPs on this thread!!!

Hey Ladies, well at 11dpo today, I caved this morning and needless to say, as its about 11 hours later, it was a :bfn: as I expected.

I asked Ian to take my purse to work with him today so that I couldn't go out and spend any money on food. We don't really keep much in the house, only salads and stuff and thats not really good enough for me to use to punish myslef or to make me feel better, both are reasons that I binge.

We went swimming again with our friends last night and I only managed 30 lengths, I did 40 last week, but I keep getting cramp in my legs, so I have to go a bit slower. We're not going on Friday as a few of us have other things on, but we'll be back to twice again next week.

Hmmpf! Still feeling a bit down, but you know what'll bring me out of it? Coy? Where are you? Having this baby yet? :baby::baby:

AWW.. at least you have the ultrasound and the Dr's appt to look forward to! Cramping in the legs could be due to a lack of potassium. Have you tried eating a banana a little bit before you go swimming? That might help. I personally hate bananas, so if you do, you can look for other things that have potassium in them or take a supplement. I use something that we have in the states called morton 1/2 salt, it is a combination of sodium and potassium, and I shake a little bit on my food instead of regular salt. Just a little goes a long way, electrolytes are a tricky thing, and it is easy for them to be out of sync!
