I just read this, omg. And my Mom told me her friend had a son born without a limb and she came in contact with propecia and are pursuing a lawsuit since damage to a male fetus is noted.

Hi ladies! Phew! Busy day today and yesterday, it seems Aeryn is constantly EATING, lol....I did shopping for our Christmas dinner, started my Oceanography course  ( this one's for fun :winkwink:), got wood for the stove for a few days, did a load of laundry, changed about 15 diapers  lol, and I had to strip the tub due to mildew

(yuk)

Then I have to go out to buy tools and mildew-resistant caulking. Then I caulked the entire thing- now waiting for it to dry. Ugh :haha:

And I am frustrated because I am doing it all one-handed around Aeryn and just as she falls asleep (great so I can work  ) one of the dd's runs in the room and starts yelling. And here I am shushing and they bat my shushing aside and yell LOUDER until Aeryn is awake. Then you know what they do?

They run.

Mini-rant, lol. I very often feel cornered with no time at all. I was so upset yesterday because we have a little tradition where we all watch the Polar Express as a family and I was really looking forward to it this year. Well dh demands that I be the one to re-do the tub (why me always???) plus care for babes while he and the dd's sit down and watch Polar Express w/o me :sad1: So yeah, I am a bit pissed. Plus I have to do all the shopping which means busting my a$$ because Aeryn will need to BF anytime. So my "down time" is when Aeryn eats and I use that to do my school- one-handed . Aaaaaaaarrrgh! :hissy: And I have 3 more loads of laundry to do, dishes the family has left me, and dinner to cook. Oh, AND my school assignment...

I'm done ranting now. I feel better lol!

AWW.. so sorry Coy! I bet it is trying at times especially since your DH is in so much pain a lot of the time. I think I would have told DH either you come help me or we'll do it tomorrow so I don't have to miss the Polar Express!

As an aside, have you tried things like time out and/or positive reinforcement when the kids do things right? Set goals for them and if they hit those goals each day they get a candy, or a small toy or a tiny bit of money etc. If I acted out as a child I got time out when I was younger where I had to stand in the corner with my nose to the inside, and as I got older they sent me to my room. I also got an allowance for doing my chores and helping Mommy, and being a good girl. The toy or reward can be as small as a sticker. At their age it isn't what it is, so much as being rewarded for doing a good job. Maybe one of their chores is being quiet when Aeryn is sleeping? I don't know if these things would work and who am I to say (still childless here), but it seemed to work when I was a kid!

 I hope tomorrow is a better day!

The good news is that it takes only 3 months for men's sperm to have a complete transformation with good diet and exercise. Don't worry Babywhisperer your dh can improve his sperm quality so that it will be great quality by the time you are ready to do ivf. He needs to stop taking the propecia. I'm starting dh on geletanized maca powder that Ali and Philomena recommended. Anything that helps I am willing to try.

BabyWhisperer - also consider some of the supplements I was taking. I made a lot of changes between last cycle and this cycle, so I can't say for sure that the supplements helped, but I figure they can't hurt!

* maca root
* royal jelly (if you aren't allergic to bees)
* CoQ10

I just found this article that has a few ideas on how to improve your DH's sperm morphology: https://www.ehow.com/how_5556384_improve-sperm-morphology.html They mention selenium? Has anyone else read about that?

Dh doesn't want to stop taking it. He's been taking it since college and fears he will go bald. He's pretty adamant and unless a dr tells him that it negatively affects sperm he will not stop. I'm so upset. I got for painful tests, take prenatals, get thyroid checked, get opks, preseed, hpt, and will endure morning sickness, fatigue, body and hormone changes and he won't do this unless a dr tells him? If it wasn't a problem why would the FDA mention it so specifically a d there are tons of blog posts and articles in Men's Health. I'm upset he's being so stubborn.

AWW.. that is not fair. He definitely needs to stop taking it! I can't believe he has been taking it since college? So I guess you just need him to come to your appt and have your FS tell him that his vanity is one of the things that is standing in the way of you guys having a baby.

Babywhisperer here is a site that I found very helpful. It gives you lots of does and donts for fertility. It also mentions the Pycnogenol I so believe in and have spent alot of money on over the past year 1/2. Dh takes 2000 mg/day Vitamin C, 200 mg/day pycnogenol, 200 mg selenium + 400 IU Vitamin E to improve his sperm morphology. We will find out next month how improved from 2% 2 years ago.
Goodnight :)

Hi ladies! Aw, thanks for all the encouragement! :hugs:

Ali- I am sure you are an awesome employee but where I come from female employees (okay, ME, lol) get stamped upon...are you sure he's not in love? :cloud9: JK!! Talk about fab news, omg, I would love to get a call like that! :hugs: You are awesome girl!

Babywhisperer- hm, the hair treatment gots to go huh? Def bing it up to your doc then. I'd say "hey, I put up with your damned ex-girlfriend!!" then shave his head :rof: Oh, if only it were that imple, right? Start watching Bruce Willis movies and tell your dh how hot he'd look all smooth and shiny  On that note- I kind of agree with Ali on the IVF but maybe go one Iui if you are really determined first??

Chantal (correct?)- thank you for all the encouragement you always post! My dh is disabled and yes, I think in ,many ways he takes me for granted. I have always been a focused driven worker whatever the project but there are times 9like with the dd's) where I throw my hands up and HE deals with it :haha:

AFM- feeling better now. I got to take a shower :yippee: the caulking dried. Aeryn has been very boob-needy lately lol, so I really have to jam personal stuff....

Oh, most concerning...2 days after T finished off her super-antibiotic those damned white streaks came back! So we have an appt. w/ a ENT doc in the morning 8-[ Poor girl she is all worried they'll want to take her tonsils out :sad1: fx'd.

BabyWhisperer - wasn't your appt today? Or is it tomorrow? My brain is frazzled. Either way I hope it goes/went well!

Appt had to be cxld since the Dr went home with a bad stomach bug. I have rescheduled for tomorrow @ 4 if she is feeling better an in the office. I hope she is in tomorrow as I don't want to put this off until after the holiday...but whatever will be, will be. Thanks for checking in. How are you feeling??

Oh! I hope you get your appt tomorrow!

I just read that implantation cramps are often worse at night.. so I think my cramps are a good sign. It's been really bad the last 2 nights. Seems to set in around 6pm. I wonder why?

AFM- ladies, take a look at my chart! It is brief I know as I have just begun charting again but, uh, happenstance has it I could totally get preggo again :growlmad: I keep telling dh we have to be careful but that just seems to make him more, eh, you know.... Crud, I don't want to get preggo JUST yet...Oh, and will you look at the pic of my IC OPK from yesterday? What do you think? I had cramping pains like pms type yesterday evening, pretty sharp, so I am thinking ov pains. Damn and bd'ing is just perfect for it with bd on CD 7, 14, 16, 19, 21 :haha: Aaaaargh! wtf, right?!

OPK from yesterday

https://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o611/greyeyes3/000_4273_zps77c7467d.jpg

Looks like a surge is happening.

Yup appt is today at 4. Gulp. No clue what to expect. I hope it's not unexplained infertility and I hope she doesn't say go to IVF ASAP. I will let you all know.

Ali hang in there babe, you can test tomorrow and Saturday. Hope the pain and fatigue subside. You might need to get used to it though, all my friends have told me the 1st trimester is plagued with insane fatigue. Ugh. Say goodbye to your sleeping years.

Coy - definitely a surge! so be careful! :dohh:

I'm doing OK, just when I think the cramps are gone they come back! I don't get it. No fair!

BabyWhisperer - hope your appt goes well!

I'm gutted...AMH came back at .47 and she wanted to see 1.0. She said I have a 4% chance of conceiving naturally, 10% chance with clomid/IUI and likely after 3 rounds of Clomid/IUI I will need IVF anyway. Dh had 90million sperm, but 5% morphology...misshapen, but a lot of sperm as they look for 20million. So with the 2 factors even with IUI it may not work if fertilization is the issue. I don't know how to break this to dh, let alone the fact that we are not covered for IVF on his plan and 1 cycle is 14k.

.... that sucks that you are going through this!! I'm so sorry the results came back like this....
I just thought I would put my 2 cents worth in.... DH and I were told that IUI with clomid would give us a 5% chance... that we could try it for 3 cycles and then look at other options at that time (like IVF)... but we got lucky on the first try! It CAN happen... and especially if you are not covered for IVF, I think trying IUI for 1-3 cycles is a good option. with my DH, they took his sample and did a scrub and shine so only the best of the best were inserted into my uterus... with a sample size of 90 million, surely they could do the same for you??
Anyways, just my thoughts.... sending good wishes your way....

AFM: Had our spa day today! I'm sporting eyelash extensions, had a massage, a facial and a mani pedi!! I'm almost ready to have this baby!! Blessingway ceremony tomorrow! Very excited!
So today, I also had my latest ultrasound and was told that the baby was approximately just under 7 lbs - so exactly NORMAL size for gestational age.... AND my placenta looks good and healthy, and all the other factors they look for to determine health of babe and placenta all look good as well....
I meet with the obstetrician tomorrow morning where we will evaluate the results and then I will get the official recommendation from the obstetrician about how she wants the labour and delivery management to go... last time I was there, I was told that if everything looked good (healthy placenta, normal sized baby) that her recommendation would be for me to stay with the midwives and allow labour to happen spontaneously and naturally (as opposed to being induced).... So that is exactly what I'm expecting to hear tomorrow!
If that's not what she tells me, I'll really advocate hard for it.... I can't see any reason why I can't have the natural labour I want at this point.... all signs are pointing to getting what I want!! *grin*

So, the obstetrician appointment, then the Blessingway.... then I can just sit back and wait for her to come!! I have a few little things to wrap for my daughter for Christmas, but will be doing that on Saturday.... and then I can reward myself by just being a bump on a log until after Christmas!!

Time for bed.... It's past midnight and my world hasn't ended yet.... must be ok then, and NOT the end of the world??
Goodnight ladies!!

Morning All, just a quick report to says its 1010hrs here in the UK, so we're still ok. I did hear on the radio this morning though that it was due to end at 1611hrs. Well, I'll have had my works Christmas lunch by then and will be relaxing in the pub with my sparkling water at that time. Strange that by that time, Australia will already be into the 22nd December!

A bit of an update, but not much to tell you. Ian took his :spermy: in for analysis yesterday, apparently it'll take about 2 weeks to get the results back. My boobs have been hurting for a few days now, so I know I ovulated. Temp has started to go up now too after a bit of a drop after my positive OPK. Just the wait now. As I've mentioned before, we didn't get much BD in this cycle due to us both being a bit stressed, but we'll see. At least we know that our Doc will start to look at things in the new year. Hopefully, if they won't allow Metformin, they'll put me on Clomid, which should at least make my cycles shorter and we will have more of a chance to catch, 11 or 12 chances per year, rather than the current 5 or 6.

Only 25 minutes left at work now. Woohoo!!! We're finishing at 1215hrs and having a walk into town to get to our Crimble dinner. Should be fun. They usually are quite a laugh.

Speak to you all later, when we'll know for definite that we're still all here. I think this must be about the 6th 'end of the world' in the last few years and I'm sure there'll be more to come.

Hope you're all ok.

Morning ladies.. still getting BFN's :( I don't think this is going to work. At least I have some frostiness :cold: for me.
The wind an rain woke me up this morning so it is entirely possible that the world is ending! LOL! Not really but it is a crappy day here. I think I read that a cold front was coming through and it was going to be an ugly day. I'm off for a P4 test this morning and then it is my last day in the office until 2013!

:hugs: Don't worry about me I'm much more zen this time about a BFN.

Too early I think.....and I don't think the world is ending either, lol!!!

:saywhat:.................

Ohhhh welllllllll..........................:sadangel:.............

:saywhat:.................

Ohhhh welllllllll..........................:sadangel:.............

I'm here.. spent the evening with my Mom we went out for dinner and bought a tiny fridge. My little one I keep in the garage died and we need it for cold drinks over the holidays. There will not be room in the main fridge for that stuff.

So I'm trying to figure out my symptoms. My urine/vaginal discharge has (TMI) been smelling like semen! How is that possible? I haven't had :sex: in eons! My thighs ache, my uterus is doing funny things, my lower back hurts, but the cramping and back pain come in waves. I have the odd headache but they are usually short lived. I'm having trouble keeping my train of thought too. So what do you all think? I definitely haven't had the odd smelling pee before!

I went in for blood today and my progesterone is 44. I guess that is fine?

So that is what I'm up to, what about you?

Yes I agree with Coy! Too early to test Ali. They don't even do a blood test this early. Stop testing I tell you!! Don't you remember me saying to you that it would only make you feel negative thoughts like maybe it didnt work? You had 2 high quality blasts transfered so you have an excellent chance of at least one if not both sticking. Just BELIEVE sweety :hugs: I am praying and believing for you my friend.

afm- I woke to excruciating af cramps like I usually have when the :witch: is here. Had to take 3 tylenol. Pain was radiating to my legs and back and was doing the labour breathing. Within 30 mins cramps disappeared and I haven't had any spotting or anything. Very odd. I had a huge temp dip below coverline yesterday and an even lower dip today so I know af is arriving, just playing evil games with me. Eric's parents are visiting Saturday and Sunday so I hope I feel ok then. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. :dust:
