I have had a letter from the council this morning. It is a 3 bed house on the brand hew development in Birstall!!! This is a 5 minute walk from every single member of the immediate family, across the road from Kayleigh's school, 2 minutes from where we used to live, and miles away from this poxy 2 bed flat we're in!!!
It is through Nottingham Community Housing Association, and the council have nominated us for it. So there is still a chance that they may turn us down, but the woman at the council has said that she's never known that to happen as they have an agreement only to pass suitable tenants details on.
They have been told by the developers that it should be completed mid-March, so we will be able to move in at the end of next month!!
I haven't stopped smiling all morning, and have been in tears on the phone to Stu!
Charlie can have his own room!
The dog can have a garden!
Charlie can have a bath in a bathtub and not the kitchen sink!
I'll have kitchen cupboards that close!
We'll be able to park!
We can have carpets!
There'll be no mould in the bathroom!
No 10 mile round trip for Kayleigh's school twice a day!
She can go out with her mates after school!
I can walk to all of my friends houses!
We can decorate!
I can finally buy a new sofa!
We can hopefully eat at a table and not off our laps!!
Do you think I'm a bit excited???!!!!
