What are you doing Christmas Eve?

When baby is asleep hubby and I are going to watch Toy Story 3 blu ray and drink mulled wine and make up Lily's stocking.

Sooo excited! It will be like the proper start of Christmas.

What are your plans for Christmas eve?

Dean is finishing work at 5 and then we are getting a takeaway when he gets home...then its Christmas TV all the way!!I might be good and prep the veg for the next day xx

We spend it walking dogs in day, preparing things for the next day, in the afternoon my mum and dad will come over for tea etc and then we take the kids out to see the lights, kids have their xmas eve boxes, bath, story, leave things for santa, bed etc and then OH babysits while I go to midnight mass x

We're getting up at 6am to go to Morrisons for us and my Mum - she's coming over here to listen for Tegan waking up though I really doubt she will! We are going to make the rounds and visit family, do a bit of shopping maybe. Bake some cookies, watch DVD's and have a takeaway. We'll keep Tegan up later than normal and she will have her very first take away with us this year

In my family, Christmas Eve is more of a celebration than xmas day!

We go to my parent's house for a big seafood feast: Shrimp, orange roughy, smelts, breaded fish... plus stromboli... and side dishes.

We then exchange our presents with each other. I have a small family so it's just me, OH, our son... my parents... and my brother, his GF, and their new baby.

When we get home... we will make cookies to leave out for Santa, get dressed into xmas pjs, and put LO to bed.

Then OH & i will stay up....... putting lots of stuff together & getting all LO's presents under the tree & his stocking filled!

(Christmas Day is more relaxing -- Don't plan to leave the house at all!)

During the day we will probably be doing the last minute shopping and wrapping. In the evening we will watch movies, have a chinese and Eloise has a few pressies to open (PJs, a christmas bear and a christmas book). Once she is in bed we will put all her pressies under the tree and put some of the big toys together

This year I will just be coming out of hospital with LO so just be relaxing at home watching movies, but still plan on doin everything with DS like leave stuff out for santa, Christmas story, open one gift.

We will spend most of the day visiting family and delivering gifts, then tea time we will watch a christmas movie, get Brooke ready for bed, leave stuff out for father christmas .. then once she's in bed i'll make a big buffet feast for me and OH, we'll have a few drinks, put the presents out under the tree and watch christmas tv!!

We usually spend christmas eve day rushing around like headless chickens, then we'll order a takeaway, get the kids to bed and spend the rest of the evening tidying up and wrapping presents! We never get to bed before midnight on xmas eve!

During the day I will do my last minute shopping, collect my turkey, give the house a good cleaning and go to my mums house for a bit. Than at about 5.30 it is time to get the boys their bath, get them into their new jim-jams and have a chinese for dinner. After dinner and all is over the boys will each get to open a present, then OH goes out for his Christmas eve drink down the local with the rest of the family. Dan and I will watch some Christmas TV maybe have a little snack then start getting the pressie sorted for Dec. When OH comes home, him me and Dan will finish off setting out the pressies then we will sit and have a little chat, once Dan is in bed OH and I will bring down all Dans pressie and then we will sit and have a little drink.

OH is working during the day, so I will get all the prezzies dished out, pick him up from work...then we are going out for a meal and going to see the new meet the parents film.

We play Santa on Christmas Eve haha, we take everyones christmas presents round & then usually chill in front of the TV, watch a christmas movie with all the pretty christmas tree lights on then go to bed!

My OH is on a night shift so kids will be in bed at 7 and 9 then i will get all the pressies out, put them into piles.

Then i will have a tidy up and relax.

I will leave a mince Pie, milk and Carott which OH will eat when he gets home at 6am.

OH is working during the day until late so me & moo are going to visit my gran then home once she's in bed i will set up the toys

we are planning to get up at 4am go to asda and get last bits, OH then will be going to work 7am til 1pm, when hes home we need to nip into town and get whatever we have not got yet, get LO in bed for 8pm, wrap last things, put all presents out, get a takeaway and chill out

during the day ill be getting all the veg and stuff ready for xmas day and ill lay the table on xmas eve too.
we all have baths at about 4pm, then we have party food for tea while we watch xmas films.
once the kids are in bed me and OH will get the pots washed and do the house work so its nice and tidy xmas morning and then before we go to bed we play santa and lay all the presents out in the living room and fill the stockings x

Our xmas eve tradition is

About 6pm we put on Santa Claus the movie our 6 year old loves this film & he gets a new pair of PJs, we get a takeaway & sit & open the tin of sweets. We also start tracking santa from 5pm

LO goes to bed & then OH & me normally open a bottle of wine & have that as well as munch on things (i wont be doing that this year) we normally put a film on or watch something on the TV

We wrap one anothers pressies, stockings & families & they go under the tree

9pm we do our sons & put them under the tree & sort his stocking out for him. When we go to bed we take it up with us & i normally wake at 2am & then it goes in his room

hubbys at work xmas eve but when hes back we will deliver prezzies to family/friends ...we've booked a meal for the 5 of us this yr tho so once we r back we will do baths, pjs,story n put stuff out for santa once kiddies r in bed we will have a cheeky drink or two whilst sorting all the presents out and building bikes n dollhouses lol and watch the soaps im excited now
