Just looking for some ideas of what you ladies are planning on doing this cycle to up your chances of conceiving! If you've been trying for a while, is there something you've heard of that you want to try? Maybe trying different vitamins, supplements, a new exercise routine, or a new schedule?

The first thing I'm going to do differently this cycle is that I'm going to do something to de-stress every day. Last cycle I had a shorter LP than ever, and after researching why I think it must have been all the stress. Whether it's doing my fertility meditation, getting a massage, taking a bath, I'm going to make an effort to make more me time.
What about you ladies-maybe we can get ideas from each other!

This will be our 2nd cycle trying, I'm on CD 4. This month we started DH on some fertility vitamins and maca. I'm taking every vitamin I can think of that's supposed to help me and BDing every other day to make sure we don't miss our chance. I'm going to try to pay more attention to my CM this month as well and make sure to stay put with my feet in the air after BDing for at least 5 minutes prior (been told this helps). We'll see what happens this cycle! If I don't get my BFP soon I'll probably start temping.

Edit: Also going to cut out all caffeine and start exercising and eating better and up my water intake :)

Wow CP that sounds ambitious! Do you use any apps to track your water intake, exercise, etc? I used the loseit website/app last year and it worked great- I'm thinking about getting a fitbit soon but they are expensive.

I'm on CD5 today too! Lots of luck to you this cycle!

I am also on cd5. this is my first cycle since my mmc and I have been temping and checking cm along with prenatal vitamins, dha, and vitamin d (im deficient). i was taking vitamin b6 everyday as well to help regulate hormones and help with my cycle as they have always been long and irregular, but i just stopped last week because i was worried it might mess things up more? honestly i google too much lol! im debating on restarting it though because i feel like it helped my mood if nothing else.

sweetb - that's the plan but things never work out that way! haha I've used myfitnesspal before to track water/food/exercise so I think I'll go back to that one. I need to get on a health kick before it's too late.

Redcat85 - I haven't read anything bad about taking B6? I have read that it's supposed to help with morning sickness when you do get pregnant too if you take it before you conceive.

And yay for cycle buddies!!

I'm on CD6 after my 2nd Chemical Pregnancy on Saturday. I have a new OB (last one was horrible) and my thyroid looks perfect, no lupus or blood clotting disorders. Can't do genetic testing until after 3 losses. I'm pretty sure my progesterone is low after ovulation (it was 7 on 12 DPO with this last pregnancy) so I started Vitex today. I have been debating for a while, since my cycles are regular (though I don't O until CD21) but I do spot before my period. My OB is going to call me tomorrow and I'm going to discuss either taking the Vitex or using progesterone after O instead. Like you redcat, I am vitamin D deficient so I take those supplements as well as a b complex and extra B6. Prenatal with dha supplement as well.

Last month was our first month with Preseed, I do think it helped us conceive, so we will be using that again too.

So, do you ladies have room for another cycle buddy??? :)

@Redcat Some of my friends were talking about myfittnesspal, I'm going to check it out. I just started taking the b6 as well for short lp and upping the progesterone. I know what you mean about over-googling!
@TinyLynne Of course we have room! Sorry to hear about your losses. It is tougher that people expect- or at least it was for me. I was having the same problem where I was thinking my progesterone might be low. I started vitex for about 14 days and then I read some forums where people strongly advised against it for ladies with regular cycles so I stopped. I'm sure your new doctor will be able to give you some good info on it though. Let us know how it goes!

Sweet - Did the Vitex change your cycle at all during the short time you took it?

Tiny: looks like I didn't take notes about when I started vitex on my chart, but I'm pretty sure I did it the cycle after my mmc which ended up being a "perfect" cycle (27 days with O on day 15). But then, my next cycle (April) came 3 days early, which hasn't happened since I got off BC. So I'm not sure if it had an impact...

I don't ovulate until CD21, I really wish it could be sooner than that! It gives me an extra wonderful week of being disappointed before the fun begins again. But I know that is still a better case than some people. At least my cycle is predictable.

The only thing I did differently this cycle was eat tons of soy during AF and then stop. Then after O, I ate a lot of food that helps with progesterone (bananas for magnesium, nuts for b6 and b12, and citrus stuff for vitamin C).

Not sure if it worked but I ovulated from my right side this time and it was on a reason able day CD 18. Last two cycles from the left were delayed or anovulatory.

That's a good idea stiletto, I hadn't thought to eat different foods in the lp. Hope this is your cycle!

How's it going ladies?

I ordered some opks off Amazon and should have them when I get home tonight so I'm going to start using those tonight/this cycle and see what happens! I've never used them before so I'm hoping they work for me!

Awesome CP! You'll have to let us know how they work out for you. I've liked using them because they help me feel secure that I actually have ovulated. I'm using them currently waiting for O!

I will definitely let you know, I'm mainly using them to see if I am even ovulating at all and to get a better idea of when I do. Hope they work for me!!

OPKs are really great to help you tell when you are fertile, but tracking BBT is really the only way you know you ovulated. Many people don't get positive OPKs because they have short surges and can be missed, but they do ovulate, and sometimes you can get a positive and then your body doesn't ovulate. I really think OPKs and BBT charting are a good combination. Good luck!

Oh ok, that makes sense! Maybe I'll try BBT next cycle, one thing at a time lol I'm trying not to get too overwhelmed and stress myself out by trying too many things at once.

good luck CP with the opks! i know what you mean about doing too much at once and getting stressed. ive just been temping this cycle but have been debating on opks next cycle. its harder to use them with longer irregular cycles that are sometimes annovulatory. i guess i will see how it goes this cycle with the temping. keep us posted!

Hi girls!

Mind if I join in?

I'm on my 2nd cycle, cd2. I've been taking vitex since coming off the bcp 3 months ago! Found that it got me regular really quickly!

Also been taking evening primrose oil and folic acid. Been using pressed too. Might try the seed protocol this month! See if that makes a difference!

Been usin the Clearblue fertility monitor and said that I didn't ovulate till cd 21! Which isn't great!

Fx for all of u this month! Xxxx

Hi Mrs. B, I don't O until 21 either. It just sucks! I started Vitex a couple of weeks ago in hopes of making my cycle more normal (though it is regular) but I'm on CD18 and no O yet, so I expect it to stay on CD21. Good luck to you!
